Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 382 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express extreme frustration with the customer service, citing an inability to reach a human representative through various channels like email, phone calls, or chat. People frequently report issues with the website and support systems, often being directed to unhelpful online resources or automated bots that fail to resolve their problems. Reviewers also highlight a general lack of accountability and responsiveness from the staff, leading to significant disruptions in their personal and business operations. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service they received, describing agents as professional, kind, and effective in resolving their issues. These positive experiences often involved direct assistance from a human agent who took control of their screen or provided expert guidance.

If I could put a negative star I would.

Microsoft refused to issue a refund they owed me for a cancelled of Microsoft365. I was supposed to get a partial refund of $87.93 and it never came. Verified with my bank and they still refused after the bank said it was there job to reissue it.

There charging me for services I cant access.

I cant access my account and there charging my credit cards. I tried contacting them but keep getting directed to a form that I have already filled out and still cant access the account.

I tried calling and I still couldn't get anyone to help me. So im stuck and being forced to just cancel my credit card to stop getting charged for services I cant even access. Id say thanks to customer support but I couldn't access them due to NOT HAVING AN ACCOUNT....

Impossible to reach Microsoft Business…

Impossible to reach Microsoft Business support
I am beyond frustrated and deeply disappointed with Microsoft Business support. For more than a week, I have been trying to reach someone who can help me with my Microsoft Business account, and it has been absolutely impossible.
Today alone, I spent over three hours trying to contact support. This situation is now seriously blocking my work and preventing me from moving forward with essential tasks for my organization. I urgently need assistance to set up and manage Microsoft Business emails, yet I cannot reach a real person who can help.
This level of support is simply unacceptable for a paid business service. Running an organization under these conditions is impossible.
Microsoft must urgently improve the accessibility, responsiveness, and effectiveness of its Business support.

Customer service is a joke

Customer service is a joke. Maybe we should start hiring competent employees who actually care about the customers they are servicing, you’d think you’re the biggest inconvenience to the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS by the nasty way they speak to you. Nothing but attitude, told her I made an accidental purchase on something and was told “oopsies” need Microsoft’s help with this and I’m being told to F off basicslly. So glad I spend all my money on this piss poor company.

I have been trying to update my card…

I have been trying to update my card details. I've spent days trying to do this and have found it impossible. I can't speak to a human and keep being referred to a robot. They are going to stop my emails and there is nothing I can do about it. For no fault of my own, I am being punished like a naughty school child

I would give it ZERO stars if I could

I would give it ZERO stars if I could. You have a better chance talking to the wall then you do getting your issues solved. terrible customer service with the tras robots they use that solve no problems. Wish we could go back to the days where PEOPLE helped you and actually solved the issues instead of a automated message that gives you the run around.

Poor Customer Support

I had a password issue with my email in 365. It took weeks for Microsoft to correct. Then a year later, the same issue. This time I can't speak with a live person. It's been months and the support chat keeps suggesting the same fixes that don't work. When I expressed my frustration, the support chat erased the weeks long thread in the support pane. I have decided to cancel my subscription and use Google.

You can't receive any support

What an absolute joke! I have tried to get online support for a windows activation error. It first directed me to a business activation screen which I couldn't do anything with as I am a home user (as I selected) then 2nd try I somehow got through and it was meant to load a chat box but the windows screen was blank. As I was trying to fix this, I heard messages come through but I could not respond. The service request was closed before I had any chance at trying to get the live chat working and was closed by saying "Issue resolved"... Without ANY option for me to say it was not resolved. I attempted to call numbers to the support, the automated voice does not allow you to go through a human and it kept hanging up on me, telling me to get the activation support online - which I clearly can't because when I attempted the live chat again, it kept directing me to the business one!

So basically, I cannot get ANY support to resolve my windows activation error. Absolutely ridiculous

I would rate -5

I would rate -5. My husband died and was charging a subscription on our charge card for who knows what. I spoke with a person and they could not help me at all said I had to dispute with the bank. When my bank gave me pushback I tried calling again. Could not get help on the phone just an automated response that was not helpful, no email address or chat available. If you don't have to use Microsoft don't they're terrible

Absolutely awful and not fit for purpose.

I can only assume no one at Microsoft has tried actually using their support line. It took me 10+ minutes just to get through the switchboard (robots not understanding a single thing I said and then putting me through to different robots) but then waited 30+ minutes to get cut off.

Personal favourite was having to read out my email address 5+ times letter by letter.

How can a company like Microsoft have such terrible customer service?
