Very disappointing Sushi Shop

Sushi Shop at MIDI Train station in Bruxelles station in Bruxelles advertise Their sushi as “fresh” but the rice was hard and fish without taste. It had definately been stored in refrigerator for long. Price was as upper end sushi. So very poor quality/price.

Unbelievably bad in every way

20 quid for large tuna poke bowl that was padded out with pink grapefruit to look like tuna! Waited an hour for delivery with usual technical problems error with your order, driver calling me as not given flat number etc. Last order before this was Yellowtail ceviche with mango except they had run out of mango at lunchtime so thought they would replace with tons of red hot peppers thinking I wouldn't notice instead of calling me! Zero customer service with couldn't care less staff. Avoid.

The girl who works in front desk of westbourne grove sushi shop is so unfriendly,unhappy and unprofessional. Horrible person she is. I hope a manager can exchange some words with her about progesionalism…

Usually good but Poke bowl weights on website misleading

I usually like Sushi Shop. Food is great, we've used branches in Meribel (now closed), Chambery, Cannes and Antibes.
Cannes service has been very erratic - have waited for 45 minutes past pick-up time. But stuff in shop is good.
Meribel and Chambery were great.
Antibes - my teenage son used for the first time today - he ordered the large Poke bowl, advertised as 500g on the website (vs 300g for the regular). He weighed it as soon as he got it home (as he thought it couldn't be 500g), it weighed 330g (including the box). Took it back to complain, was shown the 2 box sizes, he had the larger one and was told it was "correct". It seems wrong to advertise it as 500g when it was so far from this!
We'd use Sushi Shop again but feel a bit cheated in this instance...

Appalling (or non existent?) customer service

I've been a customer for years, despite the really inconsistent quality; sometimes sushis are amazing, but sometimes it's ridiculous with almost no fish or sushis looking like they've been thrown on the floor. But what can you do, I like their philadelphia rolls. However the main reason of my comment today is the appalling customer service. Everytime there is a problem with an order (products missing) it takes weeks to get it sorted. They never answer emails, I have to chase many times and then end up calling the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager to have it sorted. This is extremeley unprofessional and is starting to put me off ordering there.

2 hour delivery from South Kensington…

2 hour delay in delivery from South Kensington branch. I would not recommend unless you don’t mind waiting 120 minutes to receive your delivery. The customer service were not concerned about this after speaking to them on the phone 3 times for a status update. I don’t care for your generic reply, and I will not be coming back or recommending Sushi Shop.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Don't answer any emails (that is, if you can find an email to get in touch with them). Sushi tasted much better years ago. I think they're cutting back to save money. It shows.

Richmond (Greater London) awaiting the refund for the order which I have not made for more than 4 months...

The app was not working correctly, so I was charged twice by mistake. Received a call from Richmond shop, confirmed that there was only 1 order, was told that will receive my refund at the shop when would be picking up my order. While picking up my order, was told, that I would not be able to receive the refund in the shop, but would have to wait for it to return to my card automatically, after authorisation is granted from manager who was emailed with the details of the issue. It has been 4 month after the incident and still have not got any refund. Have sent a request for refund via website, but more than 1.5 months have past and I’m still awaiting the response and the refund!...

Cheating customers!

Sushi Shop Brussels, Ixelles:

Missing 4 out of 5 items on our order! Quite amazing. Despite immediate complaint via the app we never received a response nor a money refund for non-delivered products. Asked to be called back via their website 3 days later - also here no reaction at all.

Can only conclude - never buy there. If you have a problem they ignore you completely! Money gone!

Flavorless, overpriced rolls and a manager who doesn’t care

This review is for the Hempstead, London location. The most incompetent store I’ve ever dealt with. Late orders, incorrect orders. They never put the seasonings in the sushi that are stated on the website, and when I’ve sent the manager a photograph showing the absence of ingredients, he’s show absolute disregard and disinterest. Unfortunately emailing customer service goes directly to the same manager, so there’s no oversight and this manager can go on doing as he pleases. As the Google ratings for this location show, he’s ruining the Sushi Shop brand.
