Our wildlife pond was very overgrown but also contained goldfish, which came from we know not where. Not really belonging in a wildlife pond, they have, at last, been rehomed. We have today enjoyed watching the pond reappear as Russell and Josh discovered about thirty frogs, much to our amazement, which are now back in. A slight disappointment was that they were unable to completely clear all of the vegetation, without compromising the pond liner, because of it being so firmly rooted in. We do, however, respect that decision as the last thing we need is a leak. Thank you guys for all your hard work and we know where to go the next time we need a pond clean!

We were slightly dreading this pond work after a rather bad experience with another firm some years ago. But it turned into a quite delightful day of watching the pond emerge from the vegetation and seeing all the wildlife you rescued. We are delighted with the results and feel we can now manage the pond ourselves again for a few years. We are also pleased at the lack of devastation around the rest of the garden! You did a neat job of dumping all the surplus mud and vegetation out of the way where they will not be a nuisance. And you managed to store enough water in your tanks so we didn’t have to fill the pond from the tap again. Thanks very much for all your hard work.

Our 25 year old pond constructed from block and render had developed a not so slow leak. With goldfish and three large koi we weren’t sure how it could be repaired. Doug had the answer, a pop up holding pond with filter and bubblers for the fish and a new fibreglass lining. Doug, Russell and Ollie have done the most fabulous job and the pond is now better than when it was constructed. I cannot recommend the team highly enough, they went the extra mile and made everything perfect. Thank you all for your hard work.

After 15 years, our garden pond developed a slow leak. So in innocence and trust I contacted the Pond Doctor. They found the problem, tried in vein to repair the liner to keep costs to the minimum but the damage was too severe. So a complete overhaul was needed. The service was great. Every aspect of the job as it progressed was fed back to me, including videos of the work as it progressed. Result - a fabulous looking pond rippling quietly in the background. Ah!!!!!! Hired these guys to build a wildlife pond in my garden. Very clear and friendly communications, advice and feedback throughout. When the work was done, everything was quick and efficient, with the pond looking great. All mess cleared up and removed afterwards, so you wouldn't even know they'd been. Apart from the pond, obviously.

I contacted The Pond Doctor to ask for advice and help. After much discussion, and sending pictures and measurements, a plan was drawn up, with a quote, and they were available to discuss and alter as required. The work was completed to a very high standard, and the team were professional and very informative at every step of the construction. I could not be happier, and would highly recommend them.

SPD constructed a large new formal pond for us, and did a fantastic job with a great team. We had quite a few unexpected construction problems on site, including bad weather, which caused delays and extra expense, but the team persevered, overcame them, and got the job done. At all times they were reliable, professional and polite. They cooperated with our preferred route, so as to make as little mess in the garden as possible. They worked overtime to finish the job. They often went the extra mile during the construction, which we appreciated.
Doug was an excellent communicator, and kept us well informed, we never had to chase SPD.
We would certainly use them again, and indeed have
asked them to continue with regular maintenance of the pond in future. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of using their pond services as a very competent, reliable and accommodating company.

They kept us informed all the time. It was a journey of discovery to find out why our pond was leaking. We could not have asked for more. Everything, including the fish, was taken out and carefully put in a holding tank. They were so knowledgeable. I would most definitely recommend,

We can thoroughly recommend these guys for any pond work. They rebuilt and extended our koi pond looking after our fish during the week long process. Doug was particularly good in creating a water feature at one end to provide a beach garden for marginal plants.

Doug has given us great service from start to finish: resurrecting a partially completed pond with new liner, tiling and plumbing. Would definitely recommend.

Pond Clean
Russell arrived on time and unloaded an amazing array of tools and equipment then set to work. He carefully removed the fish, frogs and baby fish, all the plants and other stuff into holding tanks and baskets. He then drained the pond and set to work cleaning. During this he found three tears in the liner and made excellent repairs. He cleaned and serviced the pump and filter and gave us advice about upgrading to a larger pump and filter to cope with the size of the pond. Throughout Russell gave us helpful advice about the plants and routine maintenance. At the end of the job, he cleaned and tidied everything leaving us nothing to do but enjoy the beautiful clean pond. I cannot think of any way the service could be improved. Outstanding service from a company that do exactly what they say they will and more. The bill was exactly as quoted with no hidden extras. Fully trustworthy. Thank you.

Russell arrived in good time and got on with the job without delay. He was very thorough and the pond is now as good as new.

This was our third attempt at having our waterfall rebuilt and I am delighted to say it will be our last. The boys did a brilliant job moving our fish and some frogs into a holding tank while they thoroughly cleaned the pond. They then used existing stones to form a new and much improved waterfall including finishing it off with gravel and plants/moss from other parts of the garden. The end result looks brilliant, was all done in a day and the fish and frogs returned happily to the pond. Everything was left in perfect order. Great job!

We sadly had to make the decision to decommission our Koi pond after 20 years . Doug done a wonderful job of rehoming our much loved Koi and scheduled the work. Russell & Craig were onsite for over 2 days and done an absolutely amazing job of draining the pond, removing all the surrounding rocks and concrete collar, then filling with 8 tonne of sub soil and 2 tonne of topsoil. Then finally turfing the area which looks fantastic. The guys were friendly, polite, professional and informative throughout. The areas where protected by boards and old liner etc were removed from site with everything left clean.
