Perfect experience!

I was apprehensive about selling my phone online but Swappie has this down to a science!
Literally was so easy to order the shipping box and organise pick up.
Once sent, the review and money was sent so fast.
Highly recommend!

Professional and hassle free

I sold my iphone 15 pro to them and has been satisfied with the process overall.

Although they buy your phone a bit lower than the market price(which is expected), it is still a good and hassle free option to sell your phone. They are professionals.

They reduced the original offer they gave me only by 25 eur, which was still ok for me and I confirmed the price. The money was in my account the following day.

Thanks.

Fantastic range of phones. delivery time was excellent
Little disappointed with the quality of iPhone 13 with some scratches on frame. Wasn't like that on previous 2 phones ive bought from Swappie with the same "very good" condition but phone works well.

awful customer service

My experience with Swappie has been nothing short of a complete disaster from start to finish. I followed every single instruction provided — used the prepaid label they sent, packaged the phone exactly as directed, and shipped it off in good faith expecting a smooth process. Instead, it turned into weeks of stress, confusion, and incredibly poor customer service.

First of all, their tracking link didn’t even work, leaving me completely in the dark about where my phone was. When I reached out for help, I was repeatedly told that no shipping label had been issued — which is simply not true, because I literally used the label they provided. Being told over and over again that something didn’t exist when I had clear proof of it was beyond frustrating and honestly felt gaslighting.

Customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and completely disorganised. Every interaction felt like starting from scratch, with no accountability or clear communication between their team. I had to do my own investigation to track down my device, which I eventually found had arrived at their facility — something they should have been able to confirm themselves from the beginning.

This entire process has been handled so unprofessionally. I upheld my end of the agreement and trusted Swappie to do theirs, but they failed at every stage. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and constant misinformation is unacceptable.

And in the end they knocked €66 of the original price they offered which is just absolutely absurd after all the ordeal they have put me through. Shocking company and even more shocking customer service

Hey,

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to learn about your disappointment with our sales service.

Please know that our sales team is dedicated to meticulously inspecting all phones, aiming for thoroughness and accuracy at every step. We understand that trust is paramount in our relationship with you, and we're fully committed to fostering transparency throughout the process.

At Swappie, when we purchase iPhones, we do so with the intention of reselling them. In doing so, we must consider various factors, including the phone's resale value, potential repair costs, availability and pricing of necessary parts, labour expenses, and other relevant aspects.

We noticed that we had sent the phone back to you already as you had requested via email. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward to assisting you again in the future.

Kind regads,

Device returned damaged – unacceptable experience

Extremely poor and misleading experience.

I sent my iPhone to Swappie based on an initial valuation of €520. After their inspection, they suddenly dropped the offer to €282, claiming “frame damage”. However, the photos provided in their own report do not clearly show any significant structural damage.

I refused and requested the phone back. When it was returned, it had a visible and serious dent on the frame with exposed metal — damage that was not evident in their inspection photos.

This raises a simple question: if the damage was already there, why is it not properly documented in their own report?

Instead of taking responsibility, I was offered a €30 voucher and told an “investigation” is ongoing, with no clear timeline or outcome. No proper explanation, no accountability.

The case is now being handled by the European Consumer Centre.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your sales experience did not go as you expected! Unfortunately, the defect detected in the phone was one that was really difficult to take picture in more detail but we would have to repair the part in question in order to guarantee its functionality and provide a warranty for the device, so unfortunately the price dropped due to the repair costs.

I would like to confirm that we have carefully planned handling processes in sales to prevent damage to phones during the sales process. All shipments are inspected upon arrival to us so that we can immediately notice if the shipment has been damaged in transit, so that we can start processing the matter directly with our shipping partner. The sales handling process is also implemented to prevent damage to phones. However, we noticed that the matter is still under investigation. We apologize that you have not received any further information regarding the matter yet, we will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your patience!

The phone worked perfect at the start…

The phone worked perfect at the start but after a year the new battery that I got depreciated what seems like over night. Phone now has to be charged 3/4 times a day. Also when you receive a battery from them you can’t check the battery health in your phone settings as it’s not an Apple battery.

Hey,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you had problems with your phone's battery! If your phone is still under warranty, We definitely recommend sending your phone to our service center for inspection so that our technician can better investigate and fix the issue.

Warranty instructions can be found in our help center https://help.swappie.com/en-gb/ or you can also contact our customer service at info@swappie.com where you will also receive instructions for this.

We also want to clarify the battery part in more detail. We use original parts, meaning these are not Apple parts. We have been operating for years and have tested and studied different batteries and our batteries are really good and the initial capacity is the same as new ones.

All of our replacement parts go through our quality control, and the batteries we install are thoroughly tested to our strict performance standards, even if they are not Apple originals.

In some cases, due to recent iOS updates, your phone may no longer display the battery health after a non-Apple Authorized Service Center replacement, but this will not affect performance.

This is also mentioned on our website when choosing a battery and in our order terms, and we also send a message about the battery to customers by email, which also explains this in more detail.

Kind regards,
Swappie Team
