Unsafe Delivery and Poor Customer service and Resolution

I have been a loyal customer of Sweetzy, but my recent order arrived crushed in a plastic black bag, soaked in an unknown white liquid/chemical. The box and sweet bags were covered, leaving a strong smell on my hands after opening. I immediately contacted customer service and provided photos.

Despite the clear safety issue, the process dragged on. I was eventually refunded, but no replacement was sent — despite my history as a repeat customer. The lack of urgency, communication, and effort to retain loyalty was very disappointing.

The sweets themselves might usually be good, but the way this was handled means I can no longer trust ordering from them again.

I have ordered from sweetzy.co.uk…

I have ordered from sweetzy.co.uk before and didnt have any issues. The sweets were of good quality and value for money so I decided to order again this year for trick or treaters. My daughters and I sampled a few and all said how they aren't as nice as last time.
I also didn't receive my free gift. When I spoke to customer services they told me theres nothing they can do. Terrible service and pretty terrible quality product now too.
I'd go somewhere else if I was you and save your money.

Delivery Issues / Support no help.

Sweetzy used to be really good however they use Evri for delivery and are not geared up to deal with the delivery issues. The response from support was that I should deal with Evri myself who are slow and useless. I pushed back and ask them to resolve the issue. 10 days later, no sweets and I've no had to ask Paypal to take up the case. Sad that what was once a good company has gone down hill.

Very impressed. 5*…

The product (Halloween sweet jar and 1kg bag of sweets) are fantastic quality. Sweets are fresh and very tasty. Incredible value for money and they were here the next day!
Will definitely order more. I regret I haven't ordered before. Thanks so much. Great product brand.

Best sweets

I love all the old kind of pick and mix fruity and fizzy. This is the best you can get. How they can be rated under 5 stars. Absolutely great. I bought them for a party and everyone loved them! Thanks sweetzy!

Poor customer service

Ordered gifts from Sweetzy for a birthday, ordered in plenty of time. Order got lost in the post, sweetzy refusing to refund or resend. 2 weeks on, still waiting on an outcome and been told it may be another 5 working days to get a response from EVRI before Sweetzy will take any action...

Sweetzy have raised the issue with their chosen courier (EVRI), but will not look to issue a refund or replacement until they have heard back from EVRI.

This has left me without the gift (had to buy alternatives elsewhere due to lack of action) now waiting on Sweetzy to have its internal debate with its courier as to where their parcel is etc.

Appreciate this needs to be done by them, but shouldn't be to the determent of its end customer, who is left hanging on to see what happens next. Not a lot of money, but still very disappointing

Melted and moulded together

Picked 14 items of which 5 where chocolate, sweets received in 2 molds all melted and stuck together will need knife to break apart and will all taste the same. Customer service response was i shouldnt have ordered chocolate in warm weather

Fast dispatch

Really fast delivery and the prices were quite reasonable as well. I needed to order halal sweets in bulk for a birthday party and this was a convenient option. Will use again

Terrible customer service

The parcel got lost by Evri, when indicated them that I wanted to cancel the order because I was leaving for a holiday they insisted I had to wait 5 days until Evri confirmed it got lost. If you miss a deadline and the customer is telling you they dont want it anymore, you should grant it and refund. Wont be ordering again because of their customer service

Reduced quality and standard!!!

Absolutely agree with other recent reviews. Something has changed. I ordered a number of times before and things were great!!.
I have just ordered again and the sweets were vile. We ordered fizzy sweets. Absolutely little to no fizz. All very soft, with no chew to any of them.
Not sure if suppliers have changed or the way you are storing them in heat or something, but they were not usual standard.
These sweets are not cheap, especially not when they come in the state these were in. Which all ended up in the bin!!! Why change something that doesn't need to be fixed. Won't be back. I have also advised your CS, who didn't really seem supportive. Just asked to send back unopened packet of sweets !!! 🤣🤣 Not worth my time or energy. Looking at other recent reviews, the company knows there is an issue.

Quality of sweets gas changed

Easy to order and they sweets arrive quickly and are packed really well. However i have been ordering from sweetzy for a number of years and something bas changed, the quality of the sweets really has gone downhill, which is a-shame as i really used to enjoy these. Not sure if this coincides with the fact there’s always deals to be had in turn meaning they are cheaper to purchase from. Please go back to your old sweet supplier

False offers advertised and poor quality sweets

False offers advertised via TikTok with free items not being added then customer service ignoring messages. I have been a repeat customer for years and was always a fan of the sweets but recently the sweets are all stuck together and soggy and seem to be a much worse quality than it used to be, despite prices increasing quite a lot. Sadly won’t be ordering again.

No customer service

Customer services is poor. Found a 'chewed' wet sweet in a pouch and was refunded 40p!
Items out of stock and replaced with 3 times the amount of another sweet instead. I was notified of this until delivery was received.

Repeat buyer for the last time

I had ordered from them before and was really pleased. Second time I ordered the boxes were crammed in and one was completely smashed. Of the other ones I ordered the taste was completely different, I was contacted to ask for the batch dates and best date which I sent. All I got back was that there were no known issues and thanks for the feedback. £15 worth of sweets going in the bin

False offers advertised

Company advertised an offer on their social media which was a 500g bag, get a free gift, and also if you ordered it this weekend get free delivery. They also said it would be £10. So, placed the order, however it came out as £11.46. (a bit annoying that it wasn't 10£ as advertised). I paid that amount. Then a few minutes later my account was further debited £15.50! having checked my emails they added on a delivery charge and changed the order I had checkouts on. I emailed the company and they say you can either have free delivery, OR free gift and this £10 offer is not relevant. Completely false advertising. Waste of time. No apologies for misleading information. Quite rude unhelpful responses from the company. Avoid!
