Disappointing advent calendar

I’ve been a loyal Sweetzy customer for a while and have always enjoyed their high-quality sweets and wide variety of choices. My partner kindly gifted me a Sweetzy advent calendar for December, and while I was excited, I was unfortunately disappointed by the selection. The sweets inside seemed to be cheaper alternatives with less flavor compared to what I’ve come to expect from Sweetzy.

In contrast, I also ordered some sweets for my mum for Christmas and received a free 250g bag of fizzy sweets. Some of them appeared similar to those in the advent calendar, but they looked and tasted noticeably better. This inconsistency was disappointing, especially given the price of the advent calendar, where I expected the same high-quality sweets Sweetzy is known for.

As a returning customer, I feel the quality has started to decline, which is disappointing. Because of this, I won’t be purchasing an advent calendar from Sweetzy again this year and wouldn’t recommend it to others. I hope they take customer feedback into account and improve future selections.

This will be my lost order with this company

This experience left much to be desired. I have ordered from this company before so I know their sweets are delightful. However, the delivery and customer service require significant improvement. I placed my order on Tuesday 28th of January around 10 AM, selecting a delivery option within 48 hours, with the expectation of same-day dispatch since my order was placed before 2 PM. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a gift did not arrive until the Sunday 2nd of February which is almost a week after my order, if I knew that at the time I wouldn’t have placed my order in the first place. When I reached out to customer service, they essentially confirmed that even if you select this type of delivery option, orders are not dispatched the same day as advertised on their website. The dispatch took 3 DAYS and the delivery took 3 days!!!

I chose not to respond to their last message because I felt I was being given the runaround with no apology for their false/misleading advertising as their answer contradicted what is advertised on their website. Therefore, I will not order from them again and I will be moving on to another company as this has been an awful experience as I had to spend more money for a birthday present to come on time. They have lost a loyal customer as I used to order from them regularly.

Bad processes and customer service

I recently placed an order with Sweetzy and used a promotion code for two additional free bags. However, I did not receive these bags and contacted their customer service. I provided the promotion code and a full explanation. Initially, they claimed the code was only valid for a specific bag, which I contested, as it was clearly stated on their website that it was a valid promotion code. I even sent them a screenshot of their site to prove my point. Despite this, their response was that it is the customer's responsibility to check that the code is accepted, and the product is included. How is a customer supposed to know this if the order process does not make it clear?

After a long process and multiple incorrect responses, I did not receive the bags and have a bad experience with a company that claims to be customer-focused

Website is easy to navigate

Website is easy to navigate. Ordering was easy. Dispatch was fast (next day) but that's where it all went down hill. This company use Evri as there delivery partner, which was voted the worst in UK. Recieved a email from Evri on 16th to say it was out for delivery. Never delivered. Tracking never updated. By the Saturday I emailed customer services, they confirmed tracking hadn't updated and would raise this with Evri. Two days later I chased up again, they replied to say they were chasing this with evri.

The customer service is poor.they can see the order has not been delivered. And have as yet not sent any replacement. I am a first time customer and I don't think I'll order again. It's not there fault and more evri but they should be more proactive at resolving issues and ensuring customers get what they have paid for.

Very happy with the service

Very happy with the service. Sweets are always fresh and good quality. Every order has been dispatched quickly without problem and always delivered within the time frame for which ever delivery service I’ve paid for. These are my go to people for all our sweet treats and can’t recommend them highly enough

Poor customer service bad taste

Terrible customer service.
Most of what I ordered was apparently out of stock so it was replaced with the cheapest and most generic sweet they had all of which tasted wrank.
They sent No notice of this and only mentioned it after a week of msgs
Only the branded sweets are any good from here and the off brand stuff tastes awful.
This company was once selling nice sweets but not since early last year.
Something has changed in this company and now there not worth it.

Have had sweetzy sweets before as a…

Have had sweetzy sweets before as a gift and loved them so decided to treat myself to a 1kg bag and an extra for family for a birthday present. Not sure what’s happened in the previous year since I last received some but the sweets tasted awful this time and some of my faves were bigger and different. Maybe changed suppliers? Not sure but just generally not a fan anymore after this order and extremely dissatisfied. I won’t be returning and my family who tried them too say the same.

Not a fan

I’ve ordered quite a few times over the last 5 years. Unfortunately when my latest order arrived I noticed a hair inside of the 1kg sweet bags that I hadn’t opened.
I contacted customer services and they apologised and asked me to send the bag back so that they could investigate it further. I’ve not had any communication since other than a standard email saying I’ll be refunded £8, no response to the actual issue.
I wouldn’t order again. The sweets aren’t as good as they used to be and the hair has put me off completely.

Had wrote a previous 1 star review due to me having issues with a delivery . Unfortunately the responses from the customer services team were going to my spam folder which was weird when all other emails from sweetzy were received normally . I now have my order after a bit of delay and the fudge I ordered is actually lovely and there's loads of it for the money and despite all the drama I would consider ordering again

I ordered from this company for sweets for my child’s party, one of the tubs came badly broken which resulted in loads of sharp plastic shards being in the sweets meaning they were not able to be used. Due to them being a consumable I took pictures and threw them in the bin and sent it to the company as I didn’t think they would have wanted the sweets back and would throw them in the bin anyway. I asked for another tub of sweets to be sent out and they said without me sending back the sweets in the broken tub I could only be offered a 50% refund so I explained to the company that the sweets are a consumable and can’t be resold anyway therefore were only fit for the bin, could they just send me the tub, this was ignored and they processed a £2.50 refund. I never leave reviews but I’ve never received customer service like it.

Personally would not order again

Some of the sweets ordered in the pick n mix weren't in the pack I ordered, sent an email to query it and didn't get a reply. The sweets I did get kind of suck, we got 2kg one of pick N mix and one of the fizzy selection and everything just has a weird texture and the flavours are off. I personally wouldn't order from them again as now I still have 1.5 kg of sweets that probably won't get eaten because no one in the household seems to like them.

Not great for timing

I made an order on 7th off January 2025 for fudge. This was for presents for Saturday and Monday. Leaving plenty off time.

That would have been if they had been delivered in time frame I ordered and paid for them to come in.

I’m still waiting wrote numerous emails too sweetzy who now look as if they aren’t bothered. This is first time I’ve had problems with this company. They either need too up their game or use a reliable delivery courier service.

Yes I had updates from yourself which did not help the matter what so ever. All you suggested was. Oh maybe you have Snow (maybe you should use a shipping company that can fulfill what you claim too be getting paid for)

All ended all right when I got PayPal involved and sent copies off your unhelpful emails and got my money back

Poor customer service we ordered a big birthday mix and substituted 5 selections with the fizzy chips without checking so we had a massive selection of the same product and offered us £1.70 refund for something that cost over £26 wow how generous

Terrible customer service

Paid for 2 one kg pouches of sweets in December - they never arrived but got an email saying it had been delivered. Messaged sweetzy about this and got automated reply saying they would reply within 48 hours - but no reply a week later so I messaged again - now it’s been almost a month with no reply at all from sweetzy - emailed 3 times and also messaged on Facebook/instagram. The sweets were supposed to be a Christmas present :(

Following on from your reply below I also got the notification saying my parcel was delivered but it’s not here and when checking the proof of delivery I can see a photo of a totally different house so it’s been delivered somewhere else but not here - had to run out and buy other emergency Xmas presents. I have emailed 3 times and definitely no reply - have checked spam - I sent the emails in December so it’s been a LOT LOT longer than 24 hours

Ordered on 30th December 10x bags of…

Ordered on 30th December 10x bags of sweets for my sons party bags needed for 4th Jan
There was no mention on the website )because I double checked) of being closed over the period between Christmas and new year and their website states dispatch within 24 hours of order if it is a working day and the the dispatch was quick.
I paid extra for first class delivery
I emailed on 2nd Jan to say if not dispatched that day to cancel the order as it wouldn’t be with me on time.
This was ignored and it was dispatched on 3rd. It has been delivered today 8th.
Everyone deserves holiday but please just state that on your website to avoid people ordering and being disappointed.
To be fair the have said I can return them unopened and I have been sent a link to do that so at least I’ll get a refund but I had to run about the night before the party sorting out party bags - not ideal.
Have used them before and was satisfied so hopefully a one off.

Everytime I ordered, I always end up coming back as everything is so high quality, packaged and presented nicely and always delivered quickly. I would definitely highly recommend.
