The bracelet of my Rolex Oysterdate, purchase in 1986 was showing signs of wear, with the links becoming floppy and loose. A previous encounter with the OEM proved costly and only after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing did they agree to replace just the clasp.

I saw Swissrefurb's advert come up on Facebook and decided that they offered a better alternative to the OEM. After getting in touch with Martins he informed me that he needed only the bracelet and not the whole watch which also set my mind at ease, along with the physical address.

Martins kept me posted on the progress, sending photos of the work as at was moving forward.

A small piece was missing and he kindly sent me a link for the piece on ebay.com These too, were supplied the item quickly and as I write I am awaiting its arrival when I can bring it to a local jeweller to re-attach watch to bracelet.

Martins also sent a photo of the proof of postage of the bracelet, which was well packed and showed no signs of damage.

I would thoroughly recommend this service.

Martins repaired two of our old Rolex bracelets quickly, efficiently and superbly. This is a tremendous artisan service.

I think the point to make, is that using Martins is infinitely better than going to Rolex and having them replace a bracelet - firstly Martins is cheaper, secondly when you buy a new bracelet with Rolex you’re forced to hand over your old bracelet to them free. Thirdly, replacing a vintage bracelet with a new one as opposed to repairing the original is widely considered detrimental to the value of the watch.

Trust Martin with your treasured watch bracelet. I am sure you won’t regret it. We’re delighted with the result.

Just before my trip to West Malling to buy a new Oyster bracelet I arranged to drop into the Crawley shop to see Martins and had a chat about the works required for my very worn 21 year old Rolex Oyster gold/steel bracelet.

Martins is a genius in repairing Rolex bracelets. My 1986 Rolex 16800 bracelet needed some tlc after being nearly 40 years old. This watch means so much to me and was very apprehensive about letting anyone touch it. This man brought it back to its former glory making it look like new at the same time respecting the original look of the bracelet. I now wouldn’t use anyone else.

The watch bracelet was stretched after many years of constant wear. It was sent for a complete overhaul and came back, a week later, looking as if it had just left the Rolex factory. Well worth the cost of the refurbishment.

Martins did a great job in fixing my very stretched stainless steel jubilee bracelet. I was able to drop it off and collect it a few days later. The bracelet looks new and the watch is much more comfortable to wear.

Martin did a fabulous job of refurbishing my wife’s well worn oyster datejust (worn daily for the past 30 years). The bracelet has been brought back to as new condition. Martin was great to deal with and I highly recommend his services.
