Not worth it
I don't know what is Synchrony's problem but they gave me a $1,000 credit card I've been making my payments on time and doing extra payments so in the middle of March I decided to put $400 down to my card just 2 weeks later, today to find out that they reduce my credit card credit to $600 then what was the whole point of making up for $400 payment for if they decided to mess me up, I called them so they can tell me I have too many credit lines open, like is only 4 cards and all in good standing accoring to my credit report! So just because of that they decided to lower me to $600 credit line that's stupidity and I'm going to cancel this card
Sad! Stay away!
SYNCHRONY SHOULD LOSE THEIR BUSINESS LICENSE
These people are the poorest excuse for a credit provider. I have an 847 FICO score on Experian and they denied me credit. Their convoluted system of checking your credit requires you to do a 5 second video, photo the front & back of your license and if their equipment won’t accept it tough. They demand your SS number. I’m tired of being mistreated by credit card companies & banks. These people have ZERO sense of customer service. I’m considering getting an attorney. Do we still have truth in lending laws. I will complain to the credit bureaus. I hope Sam Ash sees this review.
Blatant Disability Discrimation
I am deaf and Synchrony refuses to help me update or access my account without forcing me to call them. I dont have a tty device. This has happened several times with several agents on chat.
On about July 5,2023
On about July 5,2023, I was asked to apply for a Sam's credit card, told it would not show on my Credit Report,LIE AND LIE, I now have a hard inquiry and A denial of credit. My score was 675 and 697 and synchrony sent me a letter of denial because they score me at a 478 credit score and I already have a card of theirs through Amazon, never been late always paid off. IT seems to be another way of trying to control who they want to approve regardless of a person doing the right thing, GOOD LUCK TO ALL, I SUGGEST NO ONE APPLY and Sam's Club should know

Had an upcoming renewal of a CD that I wanted to close. Called them two weeks in advance in additional two more calls and the account has still not been closed on Maturity date. They said it would take 5 to 7 days to actually close out and then another 7 to 10 days to mail the check. I would advice everyone to avoid Synchrony bank. Very poor service. Will not allow you to close the account on line. Requires you to call and then still no progress.
I was charged for $800, still owe $1200 after 2 years or monthly payments on time
I had a dental appointment 2 years ago and set up automatic payments. SyncronyBank thru CareCredit.
A week ago I decided to make another 0% credit and was very surprised because they told me that I was charged $800.
Why?
They told me that I missed a payment or didn't pay everything on time.
The initial statement 2 years ago was around $1200.
I paid it fully and now I'm still owed money?
Something is not right.
I HAVE AN AMAZON ACCOUNT WITH THEM
I HAVE AN AMAZON ACCOUNT WITH THEM. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT FOR MONTHS. I HAVE CALLED MANY TIMES AND THEY SAID THEY ARE WORKING ON IT. I CAN NOT FIND ANYONE TO CORRECT THIS. SO NOW WHEN I ORDER I USE ANOTHER BANK CARD. I ASK THEM TO SEND ME A LETTER THAT THE ISSUE HAS BEEN CORRECTED AND THAT I WILL NOT USE SYNCHRONY BANK ON AMAZON UNTIL I CAN LOG IN TO MY ACCOUNT AND I SPEND AN AVERAGE OF 1,000.00 A MONTH FOR BOTH MY HEALTH, HOME, AND BUSSINESS NEEDS..

This bank is the worst at refunding
This bank is the worst at refunding YOUR money!
I had a loan financed through Synchrony bank and paid the loan off. In paying the loan off I overpaid $432. I tried to get those funds refunded and the bank took every possible measure, including sending me nonsense security procedures that failed every time in order to not refund the money. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This is a company that will definitely attempt to keep tour funds from you!
Fool me once shame on you. I’ll never use synchrony or Living Spaces again
The cheapest sofa I ever bought. Disappointed in the quality and structure of the material. I’m embarrassed that this junk is in my house. Please come pick it up.
This company will report your account balance to the credit buero before your payment date. So if you walk out of the store owing 1000$ and you don’t have to pay for 30-45 days they will report what you owe even before the due date. It seems to be an underhanded way to keep you on the hook for buying products that are obviously different from what’s in the store.
Please come get this hideous sofa set!
VERY MISLEADING/CONFUSING BILLING
I work in customer service for a retailer that sells furniture & we use synchrony. Their billing is confusing to a lot of people & it costs me customers therefore also costing Synchrony customers. Our big ticket items are delivered a few months after the purchase & smaller items customers take with them. Synchrony bills people after they receive the item. We tell customers this. The problem is when Synchrony sends them an ESTIMATED bill with their synchrony card. The customer sees the amount of the items they took with them & think that is their monthly bill. They then call yelling wanting to cancel their orders. I deal with this EVERY day. 1st DO NOT send people any kind of "estimate." 2nd dont assume your customers are financing paying professional, & act like this is the 1st bill this person has ever received. The bill should clearly state their min payment due. The payoff amount (total balance) should be something they see if log in to their account or at least be in smaller print & not confusing people to think this is their monthly payment. If Im offering 36 months equal payments no interest & I sell $3600 worth of items, the customers bill is $100/mo. If the customer takes $600 worth of items now & the other $3000 is being delivered in a few months, DO NOT send anything saying they owe $600 or a $600 "estimate." Customers freak out & think they are going to owe $600 every month. It happens all day everyday. Send them a bill with MIN payment due in big bold letters. I dont even think the balance should be shown, or if it is then it should not be presented in anyway that could make a customer think thats their monthly payment. The pay off amount (total balance due) is something that should be smaller print, preferably not even on their bill. That should only be seen in a completely different section of the bill, app, or website & could no way be confused as their monthly payment
Past due 21 days in advance.
They are showing pastdue payment when payment was made early. Plus they want to add past due amount for missed payment. Unable to speak with anyone that understands the difference between early and late. Supervisor I spoke with refused to help and keep repeating payments are due monthly and would not acknowledge their own records show I have made more than the required amount each month since I opened the account. I do not recommend and will close my account a.s.a.p.
Horrible Online Savings Bank
There are many issues with Synchrony online savings bank. I just found out there is a limit of $100,000 transfer where they put a hold on any transfers for 30 days. There is also a daily limit of $25,000 on transfers. Also, CDs auto renew and there is no way online to specify you don't want auto renewal. You have to actually call 30 days before to not have it auto renew. It is basically a way to keep you locked in to Synchrony. I have accounts with other online savings banks and no issues like this. Synchrony is the only one.
I had 5 cards shut off out of the blue
I had 5 cards shut off out of the blue, credit limit combined was 60k. Never missed a single payment. Never was late, and kept my balance manageable. Credit score reported under there websites was a 735. Will never use Synchrony again, that's a PROMISE!
CORRUPT CRIMINALS NOTHING MORE!!
I AM A HOMEBOUND DISABLED VETERAN AND THEY HAVE STOLEN MORE MONEY FROM ME OVER THE LAST MONTH THEN I HAVE EVER HAD STOLEN IN MY LIFE!! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CRIMINALS AND DO NOT CARE ONE BIT ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!
