Refuses to give our money back

Synergy internet no good crooks, liers, and thieves. Almost 2 years to the date my husband and I purchased a super box from them we never received the super box and they will not refund our $299 dollars we have tried to contact this company on many different occasions by phone only 2 times out of the 1000 times we called did I speak to a live person both times got broken promises to send us our refund I’ve tried sending emails tons of them with no response to any of them. What kind of a company just takes money and then fail to pay the person back. I tried calling them just before the holidays last year and I spoke with a man who promised he would take care of our situation right after the new year well that was a big fat lie still nothing from these people. I have never been treated so bad by anyone in my life. I guess it’s time to contact the BBB and my attorney

Customer Service Cannot Be Reached

I ordered fiber optic internet for a second home we have in Charlotte, NC back in August 2022. The internet was installed by A T & T in August. They told us that they would be back to bury the fiber optic wires for the internet. We left Charlotte, NC near the end of August 2022 and just assumed that would be taken care of. Well, it wasn't. We came back to our 2nd home on Saturday, April 8, 2023 and the wires are exposed and have not been buried. We are lucky that no one has cut them or mowed over them. They are a safety hazard for us to enter the home. I have tried to call Synergy Internet at (855) 779-6374 for 3 days but I get a message that the number is not in use. How can I get help with my issue if I cannot reach anyone.

Terrible Experience

I signed up for wired internet service on 12-07-22. The tech never showed up or even called my phone for three different scheduled installs. Customer service said they are checking on installation team to see what went wrong, then never responded back. Today is 1-31-2023.

STRONGLY ADVISE TO NOT USE THEM. SEEKING LEGAL COUNSEL OVER THESE LIARS

Unfortunately this is not a good review.. for customer service. The internet service is good.. but not the customer service. This is the second time that I have had an amount taken directly out of my bank account without any authorization.. and when I try to call and speak to a live representative.. the company is set up to make it so difficult to speak to anyone that it becomes frustrating and stressful.. and I can just imagine how many customers get ripped off like this because they just give up and let it go. There needs to be an easier way to speak to a live representative.Also this company claims we have to authorize payment through our bank which is complete bs. When I first signed up with them they took my credit card over the phone so no they don't always use a third party.

After review of this issue, Synergy's ACH payments are always authorized only by the customer as the customer must log into their bank account to confirm the payment.

Big mistake to use them!

This company offers a service that is subpar. Our internet stopped working in September 2021. It took 3 weeks to get a response from them on why it happened and what to do. We returned the router and was told the "check was in the mail" and I still don't have my deposit back. DO NOT waste your time as they have the worst communications as well as service that obviously failed for us!

By far the worst experience I've ever had with a company

My computer crashed. I contacted synergy internet as they had an add in Craigslist stating they fix computers. I described the problem to Calvin Williams and he said it should be no problem for his company to fix it.
He requested payment in advance of which I obliged. He came over the next day to pick up my laptop. I let him know how important the information on the computer is to me and that I needed back ASAP. He said not to worry it would be ready in 2-3 days.
3 days later I called for an update only to be told they needed a few more days. This went on for 2 weeks before being told that they needed to replace the hard drive as well. Being desperate to get my computer back I sent them more money for a new hard drive.
Once again I called twice a week only to be told they're working on it and that they want to make sure it is done carefully and accurately.
This went on for a few more weeks with the same response until they finally told me it was fixed and I will be refunded fully for having to wait so long and that it will be shipped out in 2 days. It wasn't shipped and at this point my patience had run out. I called everyday until they finally shipped it to me.
After 6 weeks of stress I received my laptop back and it was in the same exact state as when they picked it up. They never even attempted to fix it!
A different company was able to fix my computer in less than 24 hours.
It's been a month since I was promised a refund but I never received it.
I'd bet the review below on Jan 25, 2022 is Calvin Williams himself.

Avoid at all costs! Unable to deliver anything

It's hard to tell what has been the worst part of dealing with Synergy - the incompetence or the lack of accountability.  I've reached out countless times trying to get help and they've never answered or followed up in any sort.  Out of the 40+ emails I've sent, they've only replied maybe 8 times total.  However if you dare call these frauds out on their lack of accountability, they're quick to argue and defend their inability to accomplish simple tasks instead of taking 5 minutes to actually solve the issue.  

I've been trying for SIX MONTHS to get a refund and have no luck. I initially put a deposit in September after moving to a new home, and gave them a very explicit date I needed internet installed by. They promised I'd be set up by then. After that I heard absolutely nothing from them. 2 weeks after my needed date I still didn't even have an install date *scheduled*. After I already got a real internet company to set me up, I asked for a refund. After getting nothing in the mail in the following month, I eventually filed a chargeback trying to get my refund that way. They lied and sent Venmo a picture of a refund check when in reality they do some sort of refund-by-email process. Fed up I left a bad review on here and they quickly replied threatening me with their legal department. I edited my review in good faith to work with them, and they did start responding. However, 3 months later I'm still not sure if they actually tried to refund me or just lied to buy more time. Their "email refund" platform mysteriously doesn't work with Gmail or iCloud email addresses. They then said they'd send a paper check. 2 months later I've seen nothing and they've completely stopped responding again. I've been trying since September to get my $300 back, emailing and calling nonstop, and have lost all hope.

Synergy team - I'll gladly remove this review as soon as you ACTUALLY SEND ME MY MONEY BACK. Please save the legal threats - it's not slander to call you frauds when you took my money, delivered no service, and won't refund the deposit.

If you're planning on using Synergy at all, don't.  Save yourself the time and headaches and look elsewhere.  As morally bankrupt as the other large telecoms are, they at least have a shred of customer service. If you search on LinkedIn you can’t find anyone willing to say they work at Synergy - what does that tell you?  They intentionally scrubbed their web presence so nobody knows who is defrauding them. Don’t become another victim of these thieves.

I got over charged

I was over charged on my bill for 3 months. I called about this issue. And they were able to credit my next month’s bill with what I was overcharged and then some. They also included a $200 hotel gift card for the inconvenience. Definitely went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you guys at synergy internet

Unbelievable waste of time

I just clicked on the check availability in my area button and they wanted to ask me 20 questions that had nothing to do with finding out if they service my area all they need is my address this is ridiculous they’re just fishing for information to sell

There were some initial technical…

There were some initial technical challenges getting set up, but the Synergy team was very attentive and helpful and now my internet is up and running. Calvin and Angel were a big help and personable as well as knowledgeable. Thanks!

No customer service, no service!

No customer service, they prefer not to “talk” to you at all; email is preferred. Not enough staff to cover nights, weekends, holidays and training days occur on Fridays and Monday’s, or at least that is their excuse for not responding/restoring service.

They changed 3rd party carriers and did not advise or share info. You just came to a grinding hault for 3 months. But they will give you a 2 month credit if you hound them. Oh and rates went up since they are so incompetent.

Do not risk your sanity by trying them, there are others out there who are staffed and can offer same service.

They have no issues charging for service that you don’t get or can’t access. Although they talk a good game.

Buyer beware, run don’t walk.

You might get lucky as some have stated, they have great service, but it doesn’t last long and then you are without communication to even reach out to Synergy to get it fixed, because as everyone states they do not communicate by phone and are extremely hard to get a response from.

This is a bad internet service…

This is a bad internet service provider. I will not recommend Syenergy internet to my worst enemy. They are not reliable. They will not answer any concerns you have. They always want money for there service even when it’s down. They are a joke. Horrible business.

Are you still in business?

Are you still in business? For those that are considering Synergy if you love crappy customer service this is the company for you. The internet is good when it works but if it doesn't get ready for extreme frustration. My internet was out from Sept 20 till Oct 21 due to some deregulation issue. Not once was I able to talk to an actual human or given any kind of expectation of when it would be restored. It went out again on Oct 28 and I have three tickets open trying to get this resolved. I received one phone call on Oct 30 with the promise to call me back, I feel ghosted as I am still waiting for that call. When the internet works it is awesome but the customer service and follow-up is mediocre at best.

Been put of internet since September…

Been put of internet since September 10th can't get anyone to answer the phone. When someone does, they are not qualified to help me. I'm now working on two weeks with no one picking up the phone. Call at least 20 times a day. This place is a joke, run run very fast away. Started out great, had a technical problem and nothing. I would not recommend this company for anything.
