Can’t believe

BEWARE. This is turning out to be a ponzi scheme! Greg advanced loans with investor money and has now defaulted on his repayment of the investor loans and has gone radio silent. 100% do NOT touch this company. I will update this review in 4 weeks or less to confirm he is still absent and in default. He also operates Car Shair as the CEO.

Really unprofessional. When I stated I was going to pass on their finance, Taylor became rude and unprofessional. Putting things in caps really comes across as rude in text and honestly the reason a service is refused is not something that has to be disclosed. If he cannot accept that someone is just not interested, then maybe a role in customer service is not for him.

This was my first home refinance and I was referred to SYO. Paul was wonderful to work with: he made the process easy, straightforward and streamlined. The application was quite easy and the follow-up was alright. Just a minor glitch with document signing via Quicken Doc Sign, but otherwise everything went well. The interest obtained was great and found that it was lower than going direct with a finance company. I would recommend it to anyone.

Had a great help from them. From beginning to the end, everything was made so easy, straight forward, and seamless. The best thing was their response time - super fast. Not only that they gave me a great deal compared to at least 3 different loan companies. A particular loan company was referred to me separately which I was having a hard time trying to get a hold of. It turns out SYOM got me a loan from the same loan company. It was genuinely a seamless experience to get approved for loan through SYOM. Would highly recommend it to others as well.

I originally started a refinance with them on my primary residence back in April and just gave up working with them now in October. I was originally forgiving with the first refinance that fell through at the start of covid. Second company they matched me with took several months before it fell apart. They told me the third time would work and be fast since they had all my paper work... Not so. Refinance went over 45, they relocked for an addition 21 days, managed to let that expire too. Finally sent me an updated disclosure after 66, which had raised over 1,100 dollars since the initial one (due to repeated loss of rate lock) To their credit they offered to refund their brokerage fee, but since I could still get a better deal from using a more competent company that can probably close in under 5 months I decided to walk away having lost months and just under $200 dollars due to excessive payoff statements fee (6). Their personnel is courteous and pretty reachable, they just can't seem to close. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Currently in the process of doing my second refinance with them. Everything was as promised - no origination fees or application fee - plus I actually saved more than I was expecting, even using the same lender. Am referring all my friends and family to this service!

Worthless. Contacted these guys to see if I was in a spot to move forward or not To get pre-qualified. Contacted by text message and worked with Brenda Gloriani. At first was getting all the info I needed. Was instructed on how to use their app to upload the documents they needed. I asked as many questions as I could, most of which were answered. But then I started hearing less from her. Was asking when will I hear something and was just being told ‘soon’. Was then told there was some kind of technical issue, after I sent all my info. That went on for like a week. Was told they were basically having to do it manually, whatever that meant. That went on for weeks. The whole thing was sloppy, especially for a newish company using an app. Not reassuring at all..I thought everything would be smooth, but maybe it was just my agent. I went online to their website to look at their staff page to see if Brenda was even a real person or just a text response bot, and it seemed like she was real, which made it even more disappointing because of the communication. I felt like an annoyance more than a client. In all, I ended up asking something like ‘how much longer?’ about a dozen times. After finally getting a snippy response text saying “Today!”, they quietly sent me an email and said nothing to me about it being sent. I looked it over after stumbling on it the next day and then contacted again about it and I never heard anything back. That was months ago. I decided to just let them go and try with someone else in a few more months. Nothing at all about them told me I should keep trying. Not like there aren’t 100 different companies doing the same thing. In total, I spent around a month of back and forth with SYOM, and only got a headache out of it. If you decide to try with this group, get them on the phone or meet in person if possible. At the very least, stay away from Brenda if you actually want to get something accomplished.

I am very sorry to hear about the horrible experiences some people have experienced. However, my experience was outstanding. I worked with Chris from the San Antonio branch and in all my years of buying and refinancing homes, he was the best I have ever worked with. I am a Veteran and did a VA rate reduction refinance, and start to finish, the whole process was less than 3 weeks. They kept me apprised of things along the way, and closed even sooner than we had originally expected. Could not have asked for better service.

ACTIVE DUTY AND VETERANS BEWARE: I have had the most horrible experience with this company. I first dealt with Jordan from the Costa Mesa Branch she dropped the ball NO CONTACT-KEPT STRINGING US ALONG. Than I called to complain and I was going to walk away at this time but spoke to a Garrick (with same branch) who claims to be the owner of the company and he ASSURED me that we would close on a date that came and went. He stated that UWM (united wholesale company) was the problem. Contacted this company and came to find out that it was them that had dropped the ball again. He mad promises after promises and since November of 2019 my husband and I have been strung along. My family and I have wasted 3 months giving this company a chance to come thru. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MILITARY STAY AWAY. I am contacting the better business bureau as well. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME they will even tell you not to pay your mortgage. Can you believe that. I have learned a lesson from this, trust your gut if it seems to good to be true....RUN.
