I bought a Tacx Flux 2 trainer and it…
I bought a Tacx Flux 2 trainer and it was shipped and I received it. There were however a couple of problems. This review is primarily for the non existent after-sales service you can expect from this mob. Emails and messages ignored despite several follow up. Avoid these guys and but UK. Note that trainers attack HUGE duties coming into the UK so negates any price advantages they claim.
Secondly the 1 star in for Tacx who ship defective products and use poor distributors. Next time I buy Wahoo.

Had a Tacx Flow Smart

Had a Tacx Flow Smart

Kept overheating and cutting out, i was told i had to cycle faster and change gears to small cogs to prevent it overheating. Turns out it's a design fault where the internal fan wont dissipate heat quick enough.
Look online lots of 3d printed solutions now where you have to bolt a fan on the side to stop this.

Secondly mine started dropping connections as the Bluetooth reception became so poor it wouldn't work unless you had the BT dongle on top of the trainer device.

In Garmins defence they sent me a replacement unit free of charge, but it has been unreliable up until then and issues i really shouldn't have had to put up with.

I am going to purchase a Neo 2T and hope i don't have the same issues.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever! No customer service or loyalty. Product is faulty. Why spend $1999aud on a tacx neo 2 and have it break down within a year and then be offered a refurbished one for $1490aud when they take away my broken one to fix and resell to someone else wihh the same issue. Won't fix it but offer to take more money. When it worked, it was great. It simulated road conditions and felt realistic P, road cycling-wise. But when things go wrong, they ignore you and want money first before support. I had to join the tacx Facebook group to find solutions and it was apparently a diode issue. Still waiting for parts but I've wasted a lot of time waiting for answers and lost time on my online app subscriptions to use the machine. Zwift, fulgaz and trainerroadapp. That's a lot of money wasted because the machine did not live past one year. Also their one year warranty is a joke. Steer clear from garmin and tacx. Get a wahoo kickr. Also don't buy their garmin 110. I bought it because others said it'll be battery efficient. Load of b@&$shi! It lasted half a year before dropping off at full charge during an hour ride. Wow.. Clap clap garmin.. Quantity and profit over quality. Well done. Again support service lived up to its usual useless group. No solutions. No remedies. Just suggested getting a new one. No swaps no trade in no discount voucher. You've lost yourself a loyal customer. I'll be using bryton and wahoo from now.

Horrible machine and terrible warranty

Horrible service. Purchased a tacx neo 2 $1999 lasted a year and a half and all of a sudden all lights turned off while riding. That's way too expensive even for a gym membership. Then you'll have to pay subscription to apps to use the machine. They will not give suggestions on fixes or remedies just stated that it needs to be return to them then they will charge $1490 for a refurbished one. In other words, I'll be forking out $3500 for a machine that does it fit its purpose. Poor quality and poor service. Just passing the buck on a tool that does not survive even two years. Wow. Clap clap for garmin tacx. Should have listened all my friends and teams and got a wahoo kickr. Waste of money and time and now nothing to use with my subscribed apps. Please adhere to my advice and not get one of these. Yes, they do have cool features like simulating road conditions and resistance. But would you want to spend your hard earnings on something that does not even last as long as a toaster or sandwich press or coffee machine that gets abused everyday? I will not go back to tacx and garmin. Got a garmin 130 because reviews said the battery life is excellent. Mine had poor battery life after six months. Seriously garmin get your act together. Money grabbing grubs with a title and no quality. I use my bryton and it costs a third of the price and works flawlessly.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, Tacx broke in October 2020. Still under warranty had to send it in. They received it and said it would be replaced. We're march 2021 and I'm still waiting. They are not responding anymore. Only excuse is brexit and uk warehouse issues.

Tacx Neo 2T smart turbo trainer

Recently received the latest smart turbo trainer from Tacx. I'd spent a long time researching what one to get & decision came down to either Wahoo Kickr (£1k) or Tacx Neo 2T (£1.3k). Both were proving very hard to purchase due to lockdown 3 in the UK! Finally got notification that a Tacx was available and so purchased. Unlike the Kickr, the Neo 2T doesn't come with a cassette, so that was another £50 for a shimano 11 speed cassette that needed to be installed. If you don't have any knowledge go bike maintenance and the bike you are going to use is of the thru axle wheel variety, then the Neo 2T isn't for you!! The instructions are very minimal. I reverted to independent guides on youtube to help me set it up and then had 2 days of trouble shooting before I felt confident enough that it could be used without damaging it & or the bike!! And to rub salt into the wound, the 30 day free trial voucher for the Tacx premium training app wouldn't work and on emailing the Support department numerous times to notify them of this, I'm still awaiting a reply 7 days later!!! So my advice would be go for a wahoo kickr, they are cheaper, easier to assemble & I'd imagine treat their customers a lot better than Tacx

Very poor App and interface.

Very poor App and interface.

So, firstly the app cannot find my HR chest strap (remove and reload App 4 times with no change, attempt to discover new device each time with no change). Never mind, guess I'll have to just run without HR monitoring.
Turbo trainer needs calibration, ok I'll do this before I start a workout except the app cannot handle this as it repeatedly comes up with an error when trying to calibrate. Never mind, I guess I'll just have to assume it is in calbration.
Session built (good point here, the ability to build sessions is very good - thank you) in the computer version and able to run it from the phone app almost instantly (another good point - thank you). Session complete and now to let the upload to Training Peaks continue via the new connection to Garmin Connect, oh, wait a minute, you mean my workout just disappears never to be found or reviewed? But it was showing on the Tacx cloud only a few minutes ago?? having a garmin watch, 2x chest straps, my partner having a watch and chest strap, my eldest having a garmin watch I used to have great faith in the ability of Garmin to deliver good, solid products that were reliable and useable. I guess i am going to have to review my future purchases.

Customer service and flux s has been terrible

Customer service has been poor. Bought Tacx flux s. This is an expensive bit of kit. Used maybe once a month because it was so noisy (reported to Tacx - zero support from customer service). After 18 months the Bluetooth does not connect to any device. I will never buy another Tacx device and I advise everybody considering one to go to another device manufacturer. A waste of hundreds of pounds.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, will not respond to emails, calls, and voicemails. The password reset link does not send recovery credentials, so it forces me to have to get a new card because they can’t respond to me so I can cancel my subscription. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM.

After Being acquired by Garmin

After Being acquired by Garmin, the customer service is the worst ever, they failed to solve a troubleshooting i am facing with my Tacx Vortex for more than 3 months, this is very frustrating and not expected from a company considering itself leader in the market.
After my experience, I advise you not to buy any Garmin or Tacx products, because they will let you feel like a beggar when you ask for help.

A+ customer service and products!

A+ customer service and products!
I own several Tacx products that are absolutely superb.
The reason why I'm writing this review is because I have been in contact with their customer service twice now, because I needed some help and spare parts for my Neo smart trainer. Tacx answer all days in the week, extremely fast and the amazing thing is that they simply supply the spare parts without any cost. I even bought the trainer second hand but that doesn't even matter. I have never experienced that kind of A+ customer service. I will not even blink next time I buy a product even it's a bit more expensive. Their products are awesome and then they just top it with the best customer service. I still can't get my hands down! So cool to see that exist now a days.

Heart is in the right place

I honestly can't fault Tacx for their excellent customer support (Hilko) and can do attitude. I discovered my Tacx flux was faulty after a week of use (belt drive squeak). I contacted Tacx for an immediate replacement via UPS courier and had a replacement 3 days later to my amazement. The replacement Flux, unfortunately, developed the same fault within 2 weeks. Fearing I had selected the wrong company to buy a turbo trainer from I contact them again. They once again contacted me at 9 am the next day apologising for the second failure and as a way of recompense offered to upgrade the unit to a Tacx Flux S for my inconvenience. I am now a happy owner of a Tacx Flux S and despite the two failed units can't recommend Tacx enough as a company that does the right thing by its customers. Things go wrong from time to time but this company gives you that independent seller feeling which is often lacking in online sellers. Credit where credit is due!

Poor quality product - took social media to sort

UPDATE: They've sorted me out after I spammed their social media for days. All's well that ends well - shame I had to go so public!

Really disappointed that my little used Tacx Genius blew up at 26 months old and that you’re hanging onto your 24 month warranty, refusing to consider even a goodwill replacement.

Tacx support have said it's down the retailer. The retailer says it's down to Tacx. So, I'm still in exactly the same position, but this is now being done in public.

Terrible customer service - unless you think that a £600 turbo should only last 2 years....

Now I have bought the third product …

Now I have bought the third product from this company and yet again I got dramatically dissapointed. I expected that some user friendly features were developed since 2012 where I bought the first product, but no, a simple product like the "Speed and cadence sensor Smart" I can't even get to work though it is marketed as compatible with ANT+ and Bluetooth.

Don't ever buy anything from Tacx unless you want to spent days google solutions, just to eventually realizing that you were decevied by unrealistic marketing where you need to buy more just to get it to work with an iPhone. Last statement is said based on my knowledge until I gave up and returned the product.
