Charged an additional $20 for not doing direct debit is a joke I have two houses using tangerine. Just changed over to superloop I hope they are better. So far they are alot cheaper

Have been waiting for over a month for my new modem and number ported, I received an generic email saying number ported had failed It is probably for the best as I have not received my new modem so would have no way of hooking up phone anyway. In the email I was asked to raise a ticket, so have raised 2 but no answer, just want my money back for the modem, do not want to be stuck with this company. I thought my last company was hard to deal with but now they look really good
Hi Tangerine Customer/Technical Support,
I raised a concern that I was not receiving the new Speed plan and I asked if there was anything else I needed to do. Customer Services acknowledged and resolved my ticket with "Please contact Technical Support".
I tried calling Technical Support but gave up after being on hold for ages. So I raised another case for Technical Support, but I've had no response for over a week.
I was on Trustpilot and saw that Tangerine typically responds to concerns here within 2 days (when they can't respond to me in over a week on their official channel).
So I'm posting here to give you another chance. The race is now on... will Tangerine resolve my issue, or even respond to me, before I sign up with another ISP

Update. Things went from bad to worse. Finally managed to contact technical support. They asked me to do 3 speed tests and they’d call me back but never did. Started the cancellation process and they contacted me immediately. Arranged a time for tech support to contact me but that never happened. Completed the cancellation process and switched to Exetel in a few minutes

Tangerine do not have the Infrastructure in place to deal with the volume of Customers that they have signed. They advertise cheap 6 month deals but cannot deliver the Internet Speeds you pay for. They "Throttle Back" your download speed in an attempt to keep all their Customers getting some coverage. Do not sign with them, Aussie or Superloop are the 2 trusted and competent companies who can deliver what you pay for. They own all their own Equipment from the Exchange back to their business, and have the Staff to service that Business
This review is specifically targeted towards their voip service. Do not add a home phone plan to your nbn plan. Took a month to be activated, ridiculous phone number, having to dial area code before local numbers and finally Tangerine ported our number out without us requesting it. Customer and technical service is non existent and no calls or emails we’re ever followed through

Tangerine has been a headache from start to finish. My data suddenly “ran out,” and they wouldn’t show when or how it was used. I couldn’t buy more data and had to sign up with another company just to stay connected. Read the terms and conditions carefully — that’s where they get you. Cheap prices, but not worth the stress.
Terrible customer service. Have been without internet for nearly two weeks and it is impossible to speak to anyone who is able to let me know what is happening. I'm conscious it may be a nbn issue, however, every time I speak to customer service it is a different response and I'm constantly asked the same questions / need to through the same process every time. At the point of just changing providers even if it is an nbn issue as at least with another ISP I will be able to understand the issue.

i joined and was moved over to fibre with promised upgrade speeds when in fact i have slower speeds now and the internet is unreliable. NBN was better over copper to my premises and the NBN people and Tangerine haven't resolved anything about the issue

I just had setup with them coming across from another provider for my internet services.
The plan they offered online was to provide the NBN with a free modem to which I did not get to receive unless I kept calling them many times over a period of 6 weeks, each time I called about it they said that they would email me the tracking number but no email was ever received.
during my call on the like 7th call, in the 6th week, I demanded that the second months fee be waived due to their inability to have the modem sent to me timely with the tracking number so I could go get it.
They removed it from my account, now today I see it there again as it has been put back on. They have tried to negotiate with me what they already had done.
It is highly unfair for them to agree to remove the 2nd months fee only to put it back on without my knowledge.
I had to wait hours on the phone to get through to them over the 6 weeks. Finally in the 7th week i was able to get that fee waived again but it was a hassle, and i had to talk to them for almost an hour to get the msg through.
I also took a screenshot of my profile to ensure that i have evidence of the changes made to my account as it is visible that the fee was waived and then put back on.
I dont recommend anyone use this company as they make it as hard as possble to communicate with them at all and then when you do they dont want to take responsibiity for their wrong doing.
Untrustworthy company.
Do not use them.
They continued to charge after changing providers. No refund attempt.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. Equipment supplied was faulty, took 3 weeks to gain a commitment for a refund - even with daily phone calls. Technical support is non existent- had 3 different answers to a question- had to keep raising the same issue as a case, as they clearly don’t read the notes provide a rote response, then close case. Takes in excess of 48 hrs to get ANY response, for technical support or customer service. Have happily changed providers and never want to hear from or about Tangerine internet again. Avoid them for your sanity

When it was working, the internet was ok. But it stopped working for no discernible reason. To add onto that their customer service is atrocious, I’m talking days and days of no response despite complying with their requests and repeatedly ignoring information I have already given them that is very clearly visible in the message logs. Do not recommend at all

Awful. Direct debits would fail and then they would charge me for it not working; the internet was always terribly slow would drop to as little as 1 mbps with no reason and I was on the 100 mbps plan. At least 30 - 60 mins wait time to ever get anything resolved. And they aren't even cheap! Go with any other provider, they are just completely unacceptable

Since changing from NuMobile, every Direct Debit fails, and I have to manually make payment. Tangerine has said this is because I am DD from a Credit Card and told me I have to use a Bank account (BSB/Acc) or it will keep failing (even though they offer CC as a DD option!!!). I can only assume they are trying to close down their mobile service offering.

bsolute rubbish service, slow speeds, constantly drops out, the only nbn provider to drop card fees on you, they cancel your internet in the morning when you have paid up until that night, customer services team is appalling, they wait to your wifi works again so when they follow up its "working as it should". TPG and dodo offer way better value for money. Oh and they sell your number to a third party off shore mob who call you trying to not let you cancel. BE CAREFUL with your details, there not safe with these clowns.

The service went down late last night and I have been trying all day to get assistance with absolutely no luck at all, You're on hold for 20 min plus then it hangs up you start again absolutely hopeless in this day and age when we all rely so much on the internet. I have tried on WhatsApp as they recommend Abd on online chat nothing now a full day without internet and still no answers. So if you work from home and rely on a good service this is not the one.
Was previously with Nu mobile who was taken over by Tangerine. For an unknown reason my direct debit payments I had set up “failed” both months I was with Tangerine so that I had to make manual payments from the same card which then included an extra $5/month late payment fee. When I called to ask why direct debits keep failing as all the details i’d provided were correct, customer service blamed my bank and told me there was an additional $10/month I need to pay for my 2 months with them for late payments (on top of the $5 I’d already paid!) - this was not reflected on the bills on my accounts and seemed to have been pulled from thin air. I disputed this, so this fee was removed. Costs for my $33/month service was going to cost me $48/month for no reason whatsoever! In addition the same issue happened to my husband the 2nd month he was with tangerine but first direct debit went through fine (different card and bank to me!). He also has similar fees to pay without any clear reason why payments have failed when there are plenty of available funds. We have now both left tangerine for a new provider as 2 months of unexplained overpayments was enough!
