I received a telephone call on 27 September from the company named ClaimEazy stating that Tax Tree is working on their behalf. I received a letter from the HMRC dated 15 November that a certain amount is owed to me and a cheque will be sent to Tax Tree within 14 days from the 15 November. I sent an email to Tax Tree on the 7 December and at the 19 December, no reply to my email or cheque. They did say they would reply to my email within 1 working day. It seems that I'm not the only one having problem with Tax Tree. Maybe by the end of the year I'll received the amount due to me.

I received a letter from HMRC on the 9th October to say that a cheque would be sent to Tax Tree. Now 17th December. I left my details on their contact us page. No reply received. This must surely be a scam, so unfair to people who are experiencing financial difficulties and given false hope

Well I did have to wait quite I bit and few emails later I got a phone call from Kerry now this lady made my day she asked for some copies I sent them and was told we will sort this asap but she also told me how busy they were they were snowed under with letters from HMRC .and it's not as easy as you think with all the checks they have to do what we don't know about .
So just be patient they are working 24/7 to get your claims out . They are a very helpful company and will explain all you need to know
And with all the hassle they get must be dis heartening but believe me they are very professional and helpful I'm pleased I went to them
Once again well done Kerry and team
Looks like i,m not alone in still waiting for this duff company to do what they have been asked. Told would receive tax refund on 13 november not reveived yet. I then tried to email tax tree and online contact form does not work! What sort of crap company are you using HMRC. Im a single parent and really struggling was hoping to get this for xmas

The same happened to me. I cant get through to this company and HM revenue says there is nothing they can do as it looks like I made tax tree my agent, WHICH I DID NOT and can not cancel it unless I get a signature from tax tree.
12/12 I finally received a response. They explained that it was with regard to a PPI refund I signed up for. They have now informed HMRC that I no longer want them representing me as my agent. It would have been nice if they had kept me informed of the process to prevent undue stress.

After receiving the letter from HMRC I was a little surprised to see tax tree had been sent my money, until I remembered going through an online advert on Facebook. Whilst it has taken time to get things resolved (partly HMRC not sending the cheque within the two weeks as the letter states, partly through my own ignorance at having to send my P800) after emailing with Lesley, she was able to chase things up, reassure me, and after asking me to send my P800, my cheque has been processed and has been released today. Whilst the phone line being busy/down wasn't great, Lesley resolved my issues within 30mins of contact with her. Yes there's at least a £50 fee, but you can't expect so many people to do so much investigation of your taxes for free. I'm happy with the cheque I will be getting in the post this week although it would probably help with reviews if you could pay the money electronically rather than via a cheque, it would cut out an extra few days wait.

I received a letter from tax office saying the money had been sent to tax tree back in October, sent off the information they asked for and had no message back to either of my emails. Now the telephone number doesn’t exist anymore, feel like I’ve been scammed

Had a letter from HMRC to say I was owed money. Nothing came, phoned HMRC who said the money had been sent to Tax Tree on the 24th October?
Who are Tax Tree and where is my money? Confused

Same with me, I received a digital letter from HMRC saying they had sent a payment to Tax Tree, I have contacted Tax Tree numerous times and have had no contact back, Tax Tree must have my contact details as I did a claim online and entered my details then, not happy. Just an update, I contacted Kerry at tax tree as many others have done, so far no reply, so it's very poor customer service.

Have since been contacted by Kerry and this is a legit company awaiting my cheques.
