If I could give less that 1 star I…

If I could give less that 1 star I would, this company does not respond to any emails and the customer service is the rudest on this planet. When I moved into my apartment they forgot to send me invoices which accumulated and put me into a financial burden. Now they didn’t issue my refund for 2024, and didn’t notify me or bill reduction, so I have been overpaying for 2025, they need now to issue a refund but they said over the phone after 1 nice lady answered they don’t have my bank details, I provided them, and till now no responses and no refund, the amount is more than 700 euros, they answer and say they don’t speak English and that they will call back in 10-15 minutes and never call back, I have emails unanswered from a year and a half. Horrible service, but if I skip one month’s bill they’d cut their services but apparently it’s okay to not pay back.
This will for sure go to consumer’s protection.

We need to get rid of this kind of companies, who are trying to get your money with automatic created invoices. If you ask about the invoice they refer to their general terms. Never close a contract with this kind of false companies created in the WW 2 era…

Catastrophe

Technologie mag ja gut sein, aber Kundenservice, Verwaltung, Nachbearbeitung und Informationsverarbeitung bei Techem sind katastrophal, was zu einem enormen Kommunikationsaufkommen ohne Ergebnisse, Antworten oder Feedback führt. Was für eine Zeitverschwendung! Keine Ahnung, was diese Abteilungen eigentlich tun.

Technology might be good, but customer service, administration, follow ups, processing of information in the house of Techem is catastrophic, leading to high volume communication without any results, answers or feedback. What a waste of time. No idea what those departments are doing... unfortunately.

Water bills exploded without transparency

After my landlord switched to Techem, my water bill suddenly increased by nearly four times, with no clear explanation or breakdown. Tenants are completely excluded from communication — everything goes through the landlord.
This system is opaque, unaccountable, and open to abuse. I strongly warn others to be extremely cautious with Techem.

Legal Scammers

Just received a stadverwarming bill from these people and they asked 2672 euro for the whole 2024 when we entered this house on 1 July 2024 and most absurd thing is that in this bill there are 3 different street assigned. This is absolute B******t

Be aware of schedule times.

A morning visit to my building was scheduled so that Techem could visit all the floors. This visit was scheduled randomly, without checking the availability of each one, which I assume is normal. So far so good. Unfortunately, due to my work, I was unable to be present at that time, so I tried to contact them by phone to try to find a solution. Changing the visit to another day was not an option, and this lady who answered the phone was really not trying to help me finding a solution. Very rude and carless, trying to hang up the call.

I decided to see if I could find someone who could come to my house for me and fortunately I had one friend who could change her life to come from Amsterdam and be here at the agreed time.

I called them again and told them my friend would be in my level in the agreed time. This time, a nice lady answered the call and told me to not worry about that, that she could leave a note for my level to be the last one checked, so my friend had time to arrive.

My friend stopped by my workplace to pick up my house keys, when they called me (an hour before the agreed time), saying that they were already leaving, because work was done and they couldn't wait. They arrived way earlier than communicated, but didn't have time?

After so much work trying to find a solution, they left me without any options, alternatives or consideration. I asked them to please respect the time that had been communicated, I explained I agreed about everything on the phone the day before, that I had already someone on the way etc etc. Their answer: I understand but they will not wait, we are sorry for this. Also told them that my friend woke up very early, she was driving from Amsterdam, 7 months pregnant but they couldn't care less.

I found it to be a great lack of respect and consideration, especially knowing the circumstances and being there fault. They should have wait, they really messed up. I did everything I could when they did nothing for the client. Miserable.

Not worth it for small owners

With purchasing a house, we were forced to take over a contract from the previous owner. Nothing could be changed The contract included capture of cold water and hot water use, but Techem was not able to indicate how they will capture these values and also did not capture values. Response from their service team takes a long time. Having only 1 of 3 units occupied from the start and indicating that no other units will be occupied, we had to pay for reporting of 3 units anyway. Essentially, Techem charged for 1 tenant and 2 ghosts. I requested information on cancellation in time for the reporting contract, but of course Techem only responded much later, after the contract had automatically renewed and then we had to pay a big penalty for early termination. The contract for measuring unit rental was also eventually cancelled, of course with a penalty, but at least a smaller amount. The total cost from Techem was almost the same as the total that our tenant paid for Nebenkosten in one year of the two years renting with us. Essentially one whole year of Nebenkosten that should have covered heating, water, and other costs, was only spent on Techem

Abusing overestimated energy prices and not finishing metering in the contractual period

Last year (April 2023) we have moved to a new apartment. Firstly the price for the energy was grossly overestimated in favour of Techem. The expected price (from previous years in equivalent appartment, taking into account inflation) was around 150 euro. However Techem went head and estimated 450 euro monthly costs.
Techem was contractually obliged to do yearly summary until June 2024 however we still do not have that and as of now July 22 we still pay the grossly overestimated price of 450 euro.

To us it seems like a fraudulent behaviour where Techem is taking advantage of the situation and wants to prolong the time when overestimated prices are charged to customers before they have to pay back.

I recently had an exceedingly…

I recently had an exceedingly disappointing experience with this company, which I feel compelled to share. From the outset, it became apparent that their customer service operations are severely lacking. Each time I attempted to reach them by phone, I was subjected to prolonged hold times. Upon finally speaking with a representative, I was frequently transferred from one department to another, with no single individual taking responsibility for addressing my concerns.

Furthermore, my attempts to communicate via email and letters were met with complete silence. This lack of responsiveness indicates a significant deficiency in their commitment to customer satisfaction. The overall experience was inefficient and exasperating, underscoring a notable absence of customer-oriented service.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. Their failure to provide adequate support and attention to customer needs is a clear indication of their disorganization and disregard for their clientele.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service: No answer to several email over few months. Each call results in a different inconsistent answer. Late Jahresabrechnung, Schlussrechnung after 4 months not yet received. Just incredibly bad. Congratulations

I highly advice to run away from any…

I highly advice to run away from any property that deal with Techem.

They are fraud, they billed me three times more than the usual bill, had i not looked i would have been robbed. I was outside of UAE and had to send them the flight ticket along with DEWA bill, for them to modify my bill from 280 AED to 93 AED (IT TOOK ME 25 EMAILS AND 30 PHONE CALLS) . When asked for explanation, ALSO after many many calls and email reminders (average 5 reminders); they just said the bill was generated due to an "Estimated consumption" proving they dont even look at the consumption, they make an estimation and bill us for that.

LEt alone the lousy customer service, that's a different story.

Funny and great thing is, they reply here asking you to email them, you email them and never hear from them. As always
