Great service

The option to spread the cost of quality tech items interest free has been great - the items were delivered when advised, with great despatch tracking and comms.

Terrible service.. My order number was TSPO59970510. I received an email saying my employer approved my order and to date I have not received any email to proceed with ny order. Wouldn't recommend and I have changed my mind.. Don't want to be dealing with a company who gives such low substandard service.

Hi Etlyn,

I am sorry that you have not received your Currys PC World redemption code as yet.

An invoice was sent to your employer on the 4th March, and as soon as we have received payment from your employer, your validation email will be sent. Simply click the link in the validation email to get your Currys PC World redemption code.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your details in order that I could investigate this in more detail. My understanding is that you also spoke to our Contact Centre on the 8th April and the matter is now resolved.

I can see that the payment from your employer reached our account, and the validation email was sent to you on the 8th April. If you have not received the email, please let me know and we can re-send the email.

Kind Regards,

The Techscheme Team

I hope this helps, but if you have any other concerns

The premise of the techscheme is great, but...

The premise of the techscheme is great, but the processing time initially was so slow that the item I wanted went out of stock by the time I got the voucher. Being limited to Curry's was extremely frustrating as their customer service is so slow. I was checking the website every day as advised by Curry's. Curry's customer service then said to check back on 21 February, which I did, and found the item was completely out of stock. I contacted Curry's again to get an idea of when it would be in stock and was told they had no idea. At the time a different shop had the item in stock so I thought I would cancel the techscheme... then the item came back into stock! I had to reapply. Luckily it all went through in about 3 days (presumably because they still had the money from my employer and I had already been charged out of my salary for it) and I now finally have the device, but it was hard work and now lockdown is over for me (I work in a school)...

Below par services & range

This provider has a very limited variety of suppliers compared to other UK schemes. In addition, the process and the time it takes for the vouchers to be received are too long - 5x working days - and that because I have been following up daily.

Update 24th Feb: After yet another follow-up call to TechScheme I got a different story and timeline from the previous time. The process is not working apparently. I have requested cancellation of the voucher.

Hi,

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the service you have experienced from Techscheme.

Techscheme is pleased to be partnered with both Currys PC World and Apple, which allows our participants access to a range of products which cannot be beaten by our competitors.

We issue the redemption code to our participants within 24 hours of receiving payment from your employer (usually this process is much quicker than 24 hours). If you are able to provide me with your order number (or send me your email address in a private message) I would be keen to investigate your order to determine what may have delayed receipt of your redemption code.

Update: We are sorry that you have now cancelled your order. We have investigated this with our finance & customer services teams. Your employer approved your order on the 17th Feb and initiated the payment to us on the 22nd Feb. This would have been received this afternoon 24th Feb, which would have triggered the emails with your validation code and voucher later the same afternoon.

We take any feedback seriously, and would be happy to look into this further, please do not hesitate to get in touch via private message should you want to discuss further.

Slow process

I applied on 28th Jan and my employer accepted the next day. I've been told that their payment has cleared. 10 days later, I've heard nothing from Techscheme - no confirmation code, no order confirmation, no dispatch date.

I had ordered this hoping for a quick turnaround, given that everyone's currently working from home. Disappointing - don't use if you're in a hurry.

Hi Danielle,

I am sorry you have experienced a delay in receiving your laptop.

We received payment from your employer on the 2nd February, but unfortunately there was a slight delay in stock of your chosen model being available. I have checked your order today and can see that it shipped yesterday and should be delivered to you today.

If you do not receive your laptop today please get in touch with us.

don't use it if you are in a hurry!

So, i applied for it last Thursday, my employer accepted next morning, and it's been almost a week and i still didn't get my confirmation code because the say the are expecting payment but my employer said that they already paid it.
So if i need to wait a week (or maybe more, because i still didn't get my redemption code yet) for this...... because they don't check their bank statements in due time..... for me is not at all useful!

My daughter laptop cracked, and i need to replace it as soon as possible. She's doing online lessons on her mobile for a week!! I could easily bought this laptop using my credit card but this program seemed like a good choice. Not anymore!!!

So, my advice, don't use it if you are in a hurry!!!

Hi Adriana,

Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry your shiny new laptop has not arrived.

I have checked with our finance team and the payment has not been received to date. I would like to take the opportunity to reassure you that we check our accounts every day in order that we can ship products as quickly as we possibly can.

Thanks again,

Very simple process

This is an excellent scheme which was very easy to use. Requested voucher, received voucher, went to store and purchased the item rather than order online and had absolutely no problems at all.

Techsave sucks

I was looking forward to using techsave to purchase a new Apple MacBook, with this scheme and it’s savings I would have been able to upgrade to a pro model.
So, with joy in my heart I went through the system to purchase the laptop only to find there were limitations and that it costs you more than just buying it direct from Apple.

So, I priced up a MacBook Pro with 512 gig storage and 8gig of RAM from techsave and Apple, the techsave rrp is £1799 if you deduct savings it will cost you £1583, if you buy direct from Apple it will cost you £1499.
So the first question is whose recommended retail price are they using that is £300 higher than the manufacturer.

Hi Paul

Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry you found our info unclear.

Techscheme offers all Apple products at RRP, and then savings of up to 12% are applied. Looking at the prices you quoted, I think you have compared 2 different models of the MacBook Pro; Apple have 2 variants that have 512GB storage and 8GB RAM, one model at £1499, and one at £1799.

Both of these models are available via Techscheme at those pricepoints, which means you would pay either £1319 or £1583 depending which model you choose. Please rest assured that Techscheme is supplied directly by Apple and always features RRP prices that are the same as those you see on the Apple website.

Thanks again.
