I am old and not very clever. I bought kit in October 2024. I did mistake, keep only 3 last numbers. They not contact as, for my question when will be answer - wait! But they not registered 2 of 3 tests. It was in one parcel in one box and now they ask me to pay 50£ for post. Its mean they did mistake and I have to pay. They still my money.

I am not sure about validity of this data, some things look interesting, but some are obvious mistakes...
I think this whole research is missing data. Maybe I will redo the same test over 15 years.

They don't provide full mtDNA sequence, nor clarify that in the description of the mtDNA advert. They say they provide a "migration Path" map for the haplogroup. The little map they provide is not even accurate, we can get better maps of the internet. There is no information on specific haplogroup subgroup. They also say results take up to 6 weeks giving the impression we'll get an in depth analysis. It took less than a month. Not worthwhile.

I found the results on health and properties to be astonishingly accurate. The lineage is also very interesting.

The result is very thorough for all parts, especially in the health genetic parts. The result get updated regularly for better accuracy over time. I was hesitant to use it but now I can say go for it you won't regret it as you will know more about yourself.

Very interesting, lots of data, but I couldn’t help but question the validity of it all when as a natural redhead my results showed that I apparently do not have the MC1R gene and have a less than a 1% chance of being a redhead
Knowing this was clearly wrong made me question it all so interesting, yes, accurate…. Who knows? 🤷🏼♀️

Update: Based on the recent response I just received, my feelings were correct. They are still building out their platform and appear to be working on improving their business model to provide features more in-line with what most of the population expects from a DNA testing organization. My below review still stands, but I'm willing to wait and see what they produce before removing it.
I would not recommend. It is my assumption that anyone using this test is wanting to know more about their heritage, DNA lineage, find others who match your DNA as well. Just like Ancestry, 23andMe, etc. If you are one of these people, avoid this test at all costs.
It's not polished, it's something a medical office would send out a test for. If you want to know your hair is black, your teeth are deep rooted, you produce earwax and sweating and have high or low blood pressure, where your ancestors existed 300,000 to 50,000 years ago, and that's it! This is the test for you. But if you're seeking what the other DNA Ancestry/Heritage companies provide, this isn't it.
Tons of medical genetic information, terrible ancestry mapping and zero geographic associations to other living people. Every single DNA test that I've taken has shown me that my family, who came from Mexico, migrated from Spain and are of Sephardic Jewish ancestry. Every single one of them, but this one, Spain is empty, no matches anywhere on the continent; and coming from a company based in Spain! That's wild. Avoid it and go with the other companies instead. I gave it 2 stars because from a medical standpoint it's fairly accurate, but that's about it.

1) very good customers service: They send me 3 kits in total without charging me extra. Once I got the description wrong and they couldn't get DNA out of the sample. The next time the delivery company lost the kit. The third kit made it to Spain, fortunately.
2) the results... wow! The day they arrived, I couldn't do anything other than scrolling through them.
It's so unbelievably interesting and accurate.
A few examples: they claim I have a very high probability of developing knee arthritis; more chances than 99% of their customers. It's true! I developed knee arthritis in both knees very early, in my thirties.
Height, skin color, eye color, hair color, intelligence, blood group... that's all true. Only with the "high probability of low bmi" my genetic predisposition unfortunately doesn't match the results in real life. I will never be able again to blame my genetics. :-D
Very interesting, especially if there is breast cancer within the family, are the BRAC1 and BRAC2 genes.
What I really wanted to know are the COMPT and MHFR genes, they are covered, too of course. Even IF something isn't covered, there is still the raw data you can download. I have to admit, handling those raw data is easier for me than probably 95% of other costumers, for I am a molecular biologist. But anyway, if something was missing genetically, that you want to know, you could find a way to extract it from the genome data.
Having those 4 genes (I mentioned earlier) tested in the laboratories nearby, btw, would cost as much as analyzing this whole genome with tellmegen.
I also love the way they present their data! There's background information in case you're not familiar with the gene or complex of genes for some syndromes.
And the best: the Gaussian bell curve where you can accurately adress your personal risk. "Medium risk" as tellmegen interprets it, is a very diverse risk spectrum. I prefer to know more in detail what could happen.
3) pharmacology, that's also great. I know now what drugs I shouldn't use because the side effects would be severe. Also, I know which drugs I should take more of than the average person to have the same effect. Could be useful someday!
4) ancestry: at first sight it's a bit confusing that my home country, where 3 of 4 grandparents and their whole families came from, isn't listed. (The 4th grandparent's country is listed with 20%). But it's not meant politically, it's meant that genetics of another tribe are present in my DNA. They are found in nearby countries as well.
Thank you tellmegen, it couldn't have made me more happy! Currently, I am advertising it to everyone I know. :)

I bought a basic report and it was nearly unreadable as it was written in scientific jargon. In order to understand it I had to order more services andpay nearly the same amount AGAIN.
When I complained the company contacted me and offered a partial refund and a freebie if I took back my review.

I used the DNA kit this company provides and I am more than happy with the results analysis I have received. I think that different product options offer different results, for the one I used I am more than happy.
