Deep clean
Shaida and Zanko were provided an excellent deep clean for a property we are moving into. They were very clear on the work needed and very professional. Even going above and beyond by touching up a bedroom we hadn’t specified but needed desperately needed cleaning. We will be using them again!

However, when my rental agency inspected the property, they informed me that the cleaning was done poorly and they had to hire another cleaning company to redo the job. Following your initial feedback, we immediately offered and scheduled a free re-clean, which is the first and standard remedy under our Terms & Conditions. We also offered to collect the keys directly from your letting agency to ensure the re-clean could proceed without inconvenience to you.
Unfortunately, the re-clean did not take place because access was refused, as your letting agency chose to appoint their own cleaning company instead. This decision was outside of our control and was communicated clearly in our email correspondence.
Despite this, and as a gesture of goodwill, we processed a refund at your explicit request, even though our policy states that refusing a re-clean waives the right to a full refund.
We therefore respectfully disagree with the implication that the matter was unresolved or ignored. The issue was addressed promptly, options were provided, and a refund was ultimately issued.
We always encourage customers to contact us directly so matters can be resolved fairly and in line with documented facts.

We used tenancy.cleaning to get our flat ready for new tenants, and of the pair of cleaners that came, one of them seemed pretty good. Unfortunately the other was late, and missed several quite big areas (inside and above cupboards, bits of the floor) as well as scratching our countertops. We were informed by the estate agent that the clean was substandard, and would need redoing by a team they trusted. Photos backed up this assessment.
I raised this with tenancy.cleaning, and was offered a 10% refund or re-clean. Sadly we couldn’t accept the re-clean as we had no confidence it would be done to an appropriate standard, and only had a couple of days before the new tenants arrived. A 10% refund was also a bit insulting given that we are now having to pay an additional £180 for a separate re-clean (not to mention fixing the countertops).
The thing I appreciated least was the walls of AI-generated legalese from the customer service representative, instead of a normal human response to a frustrating situation. I really feel like we could have resolved this if they’d treated me like a person.

For clarity and transparency, we would like to briefly outline what occurred from our side. Upon receiving your initial complaint, we responded promptly and offered a full re-clean at no cost, which is the primary remedy provided under UK consumer law and our published terms. Unfortunately, this option was declined in favour of instructing a third-party cleaner, which meant we were unable to inspect or rectify the issues raised.
Notwithstanding this, and without any admission of fault, we processed a 10% goodwill refund as a gesture of resolution. Claims relating to alleged damage were raised only after the re-clean had been declined and after further third-party intervention, and no contemporaneous evidence was provided that would allow liability to be established.
We do take your point regarding tone. Our intention was never to be impersonal or dismissive; rather, we aimed to be precise and transparent when responding to a situation involving legal rights and remedies. That said, we accept that formal clarity can sometimes feel at odds with the human experience of a stressful move, and we will reflect on how we balance the two in future communications.
We regret that we were unable to meet your expectations on this occasion and wish you and your family all the best in your new chapter.
