The delivery being £6.99 for UK shipping is crazy 😭
Bought lace abaya .a 52 was too long then had to exchange got the sage green. Nothing like the one shown. Its shown as bluey green but its not that colour . Lace is too delicate. Getting incontact to return for refund. Not co operating
For the high delivery they charge (£5.99) they should really post the items out quickly.
I am still awaiting a refund for an order that never arrived. It has now been two weeks since I was told the item could not be delivered. I have found the customer service very poor and will certainly not be recommending this company to others.
I got three abayas:
1) Cuffed Nubo Abaya Set : loveeee the material and the flow of the abaya looks so royal! I wish it came with matching scarf!
2) Textured open abaya with scarf (2 colors) LOVE LOVE LOVE the scarf that comes with the abaya, so wide and long offers plenty of coverage. The abaya itself feels a bit rough on the skin but its perfect for summery months in London! Also love the colors in this collection - very subtle and beautiful!
I had ordered their A-line abaya but found it to be extra long on the sides. Very weird to wear and unwearable. I asked if there was something wrong with the abaya but was told that is what A-line is (??!??!?!).
I returned them - I knew that they don't issue refunds and only credit.
It took nearly a month for them to sort my credit out. I emailed a few times and only when I logged a complaint with paypal did my order get processed and I received the credit voucher the next day!
I used the voucher to order two new abaybas (NOT A-LINE) and they are not better. I ordered 54 inch and the abaya itself is MASSIVE, the sleeves are way TOO LONG and the abaya is too long for me (I always wear 54 inches).
The only positive is that the material and colours are nice.
My sister used to order from them before and they were good quality abayas but not anymore. My sister and I both placed an order recently and were very sad to see how poor of a quality their abayas were. Make sure you read the description as the colors are much darker then the photo. One of the items we ordered men's green Moroccan Kaftan not only it came with a hole where the pocket is supposed to be but it was the worst quality you can imagine with stiching coming out. We were told that the hole comes like that and is described in their website but its not.Overall it was the worst item we got. Besides that all the abays we ordered the colors were not as the photos or the sizes were wrong/misleading.Their abayas come oddly so wide. Thair quality went down dramatically. Their refund policy is non-existent so its not really worth it.
I love the abayas from TAC, I only order from a few trusted companies. The abayas are so comfortable and stylish while being modest. They have size 50 length which fits perfectly because I am 4’11. On the website they have a list of the their collections and what the materials are. It’s a shame they don’t do refunds but they do gift cards instead and they always have new designs for each season so it does get used.
Used to love ordering from here having discovered the company in the first lockdown, but the quality and size range have gone down sadly. I recommended them to a friend a while ago when they were having a flash sale and she told me recently every single abaya she bought from them came apart at the side seams. I was so embarrassed, I had to clarify to my friend that I am a dressmaker by trade and would never knowingly recommend anywhere where their products would fall apart, no matter how cheap and that the abayas I got in the past from TAC were all really nice quality and that is why I recommended them.
Also they only did a 62 in a couple of styles and while this wasn't previously a problem, as their lengths were originally quite generous, the slightly later nahla cloak abayas I got from there were definitely shorter. I and other taller sisters have contacted their social media person as well as commenting on their IG stories as to when they will be restocking the size 62 in the few styles they do it in and after initially saying this spring, they are now just ignoring any such comments completely. I don't think it helps that their social media presence is managed by an employee and the original owner of the company seems to have no oversight of it at all anymore.
I also ordered some of the famed TAC khimars last month based on their claim to be restocking longer length abayas by the end of May at the latest, so as well as having no abayas to match these with (the nahla cloaks I have are from a couple of years back so there is some shade variance) I was very disappointed with the quality, how the hems were stitched (in a very odd way usually used for t-shirt hems), and the length was a lot shorter than it appeared on product and customer photos even taking into account height differences. I have since found much better European made khimars for a pound more than the TAC ones or five pounds more if you want a super long version. I don't think I will be ordering from TAC again. Which is a shame as they are one of the very few Islamic clothing companies that get their items ethically made in the UK.
