I went to EBC in November 2025 and the guide Raj and the x2 porters went above and beyond.
Raj the guides local knowledge was spot on and added to the experience.
If you plan on booking EBC request Raj and his team.

Just at the end of our 14 day Gokyo Ri trip with The Adventure People. I honestly cannot find anything to criticise ( given that the weather is out of human control!). Our guide , Pooja, was always on hand, friendly, calm, positive and reassuringly always in communication with the rest of her team to update on safety of routes and planning the day ahead. She had a great relationship with so many people we came across on the trek and at Lukla airport which aided smooth transitions and a sense that she is really part of the mountain community. Our 2 guides, Ram and Deepen, were her perfect aids and transported out luggage efficiently and carefully and always ahead of us!! The support from the office in Kathmandu was faultless.
Everest base camp
From start to finish The Adventure People were first class .5 star , from the ease off booking to there help booking flights , Always there to help , then the trip it self from Kathmandu to base camp , trip off a life time excellent staff from start to finish look after everything you need , Our lead guid Tika Dhakal was excellent his knowledge is unreal a legend off a man
Fantastic Experience and well planned
Trekked with a fried to EBC starting 10/10. The Adventure People and Icicles were great from start to finish, helping us sort extra nights, flights, advice on kit etc. Raj our guide met us at the airport and was brilliant throughout, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble and super knowledgeable about the area, history, people, culture etc. They were great when one of our group had to stay back due to illness, and helped the rest of us plan and get to EBC on the 19th October. I would book with them again and would definitely go back to the Himalayas to trek - especially if we could guarantee getting Rajindra as our guide again. Maybe I'll beat you at chess next time Raj! Dhanyabad!
Terrific walking tour in Madeira
Really well organised week-long walking trip. Terrific tour leader (thanks Filipe!) and a lovely group made for a great experience. Highly recommended!
8 day Vietnam Hanoi to Hoi An.
8 day Vietnam Hanoi to Hoi An.
Unfortunately, heavy rain and flooding in Hue & Hoi An heavily impacted our holiday with On The Go Tours.
Most of the planned activities were cancelled and despite the unfolding disaster, they still chose to fly us into the affected town.
The main thinng they were concerned about, was recoupng the additional expense that they incurred due to change of plans. Very unscrupluous company.
Despite this we enjoyed Hanoi and Halong Bay Cruise.

The EBC Trek- the most memorable journey!
I recently completed the EBC hike through The Adventure People agency reaching the EBC on 20oth Oct 2025, The Diwali Day!
This has been on my bucket list for years. This has been one of the most memorable, life-changing experiences of my life. The whole journey was fully supported, from picking up from the airport and the team brief meeting.
I was picked up by our guide, Sarala, from the airport and had had an immediate connection with her. She is just a bundle of positive energy, a happy soul who just loves mountains, very knowable, caring and informative with great sense of humour!
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, but what truly made the journey unforgettable was the incredible team, our guide and our porters especially Chandra who accapnied us to Kapa Patthar Summit from 3:30 am and kept us safe.
From day one, our wonderful guide, Sarala genuinely cared about every person in our group and looked after every individual’s personal needs- whether health issue, attention to our food and drinks, time for photos / videos and also simple but important tasks of getting our phone charging devices sorted. Her encouragement, kindness, and expertise made all the difference – I felt safe, inspired, uplifted and motivated the entire way.
Sarala and the team – Indira and Parashu handled every detail perfectly, which allowed us to fully enjoy this incredible adventure without worry. They kept us motivated after every single achievement which was deeply rewarding.
I am so grateful for this incredible experience and highly recommend them to my friends, family and anyone thinking about completing EBC! This wasn’t just a trek; it really was a journey of self-reflection, self-transformation, inner growth, discovery, and connection with the Supreme!
Thanks a million, The Adventure People- esp Sarala, Parashu, Indira, Chandra and my two wonderful team-mates (S and K).

However, was annoyed at the amount charged due to changes I made because of a medical emergency.
Jordan - A Magical Country
It was a brilliant tour! Jordan is a beautiful country with a rich history and incredibly friendly people. Our tour guide, Saleh, was excellent — his in-depth knowledge of the country’s history and traditions brought every stop to life. He was attentive and caring throughout, ensuring everyone in the group had a wonderful time. There was so many highlights, with the jaw dropping sights of Petra to the memorable camp stay in the Wadi Rum. Jordan is truly a must-see destination, and I would highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting a whistle-stop introduction to this fantastic country.
Trek to Everest Base Camp
Had an amazing time on the Women’s Only EBC Trek. Our guide Sarala was absolutely brilliant - attentive, caring, and always looking out for everyone in the group. She made sure we were eating and drinking enough, kept the pace just right, and handled all our banter with a great sense of humour! I felt completely safe and supported with her, no matter how tough things got - and I couldn’t have done this without her.
Our two porters were incredible and did an amazing job - especially Chandra, who took us up to Kala Patthar.
Indira and Parashu Ram were also fantastic - friendly, organised, and ready to help.
Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish, and it was clear the effort that went into planning the whole trip. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Excellent trip
Excellent trip, brilliant guides. I think instructions/options for bringing luggage could have been a bit clearer, not that it was a problem for us. Likewise we were advised to meet at local office on evening before the trip, but this turned out to be a video call with guide 24 hours later.
The Adventure People were great to work with!
The Adventure People were great to work with! They were quick to provide responses to all my questions and helped me and my husband make an informed decision as to which trek would be best for us. I am 67 years old and in good health, but I was very concerned about getting altitude sickness.
Our guide, Manoj, and our porter, Mig, did an outstanding job. They somehow managed to anticipate all of our needs and worked closely with us to make sure we made it to ABC safe and sound! The trek was gorgeous but it was definitely challenging, so it is extremely rewarding to now feel a true sense of accomplishment.
Due to concerns I had regarding a previous knee and back injury, I felt it would be beneficial to take a helicopter back to Pokhara instead of trekking downhill for two days. Manoj worked with Indira and Parash to arrange this and it worked out perfectly.
My recent 10-day Bali Bucket List tour…
My recent 10-day Bali Bucket List tour booked with The Adventure People was extraordinary! From the start, I felt I was in good hands with Rita in London, who helped craft the perfect itinerary for my mother-daughter getaway. She patiently answered all my questions and accommodated changes without any issues—fantastic communication from the UK team made me feel valued.
Once we landed in Bali, Novi became our local contact, guiding us throughout our journey. She kept us updated on pickup times, ferry rides, and tasty restaurant recommendations. Her passion for ensuring our experience was seamless was clear, and meeting her in person on day 7 in Nusa Lembongan was a lovely highlight.
One memorable moment happened when I ran out of hair detangler in remote Nusa Lembongan. Novi personally delivered it to our villa on her scooter—a thoughtful touch that truly made a difference.
Our accommodations were small but immaculate and perfectly suited to our needs. I felt safe throughout every hotel stay, allowing us to relax and enjoy our trip fully. A special mention goes to the amazing staff at Onai Hotel in Nusa Lembongan—they were incredibly welcoming, and our spacious villa across from the beach became our favorite spot.
Climbing Mount Batur was a personal triumph for this middle-aged mom! Our hiking guide was patient, and witnessing the sunrise atop the volcano, surrounded by clouds, was an unforgettable experience.
I also adored our day trip to Nusa Penida, with its rich history and bohemian vibe. Iconic sights like Kelingking Beach and Billabong Beach were breathtaking, and swimming with manta rays at Manta Point was phenomenal.
This tour exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely return to Bali Bucket List! While Canggu felt a bit chaotic for me, I fell in love with the lush jungles of Ubud, the laid-back charm of Gili T and Gili Meno, and the enchanting allure of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida.
If you want to truly experience the essence of Bali, I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It's full of unforgettable moments, stunning scenery, and meaningful connections with the local culture.
Underwhelming experience
My thoughts on my trip to South Korea is somewhat split. The whole 10 days were spoilt by the weather, we had 2 days out of 10 without rain. Unfortunately, not due to the Adventure People, the weather led to several activities being cancelled. However our tour guide was magnificent in every way. She was professional, patient and her knowledge of the country, history and areas were next to non. The hotels that were booked for us were on the whole very nice, apart from the Hanok experience, which was probably the worst experience of my life. I have stayed in tents more luxurious than that. They gave one glass, which was dirty and 2 green tea bags, the toilet was disgusting, and I wont even go on about the shower over the sink, the flooding in the toilet and the slipping on the wet floor. We had to go up the road for breakfast. In one of the hotels, the handle came of the door and I had to endure a workman for 2 hours well into the night. The neighbours were not at all happy. I'm not sure i would recommend, it really depends what type of holiday you need.
Excellent trip
Excellent trip. I had a great time. Diwakar our guide was exceptionally good and ultimately became a close friend over the course of the trip. Would recommend using this company.

You pick amazing CEO for every part that we travelled. Ollie was so chilled and definitely made an effort to have genuine conversation with everyone in the group. We did have slight hiccups along the way but HE carried himself in such a professional manner that it didn't affect the group. This was the first time I travelled on an overnight train ride from Budapest to krakow it was and uncomfortable experience but when we arrived at the hostel in the early hour of the morning I personally didn't attend the morning breakfast or the tour that Ollie gave in Poland but I was very impressed that he conducted himself in such a way that he didn't reflect how tired he would have been and in less idle conditions he was in. I loved the freedom that was given through out this tour.
Great guide and team, bad organisation from G Adventures
Our guide Maju and the crew on the Lares Trek: Thomas, Edgar and Javier - were absolutely wonderful and deserve 5 Stars! Such care and attention, amazing!
But everything thing else, barely 2 stars. G Adventures itself really needs to give the customers reliable info.
From the wrong information about the arrival and briefing time, the stress to run to the office before it closes to get the gear, to the bad (loud, cold, no hot water, bad breakfast) rooms at the hotels, getting left behind by the other guide on the Storehouses hike in Ollantaytambo, etc. Sorry, but I won't return as a customer. I'd rather pay more and avoid such stress on a holiday.
P.S. Thank you for the reply. I booked directly with you, The Adventure People, so why did you put me on the G Adventures trip? I will certainly not book with you or G Adventures ever again.

The team couldn't have been any more helpful and accommodating. The trip was planned and executed perfectly, and made so much better by our guides Ram and Jam Jam😂. Amazing trip and couldn't recommend more.
