Terrible customer service

On the 28th July, I placed an order, it did not go through
Hence My gift card for $603 was used up
My Reward points for $244 were used up
My account was charged $57
all three have been used and Gift Card and Reward points show a $0 balance.
I am a very regular customer, and this is really very upsetting,
Now I do not know when they will be reversed, and i will lose the 25% discount which ends on Sunday the 30th.
Besides, maybe some items i like might become out of stock.
This is very disturbing for me. And i am extremely upset.
I called on the 29th evening and spoke to THANDO who told me they will automatically be reversed.
BUT WHEN. PLEASE REINSTATE ALL THE AMOUNTS DEDUCTED IMMEDIATELY,
Hudson's Bay Case #12766418 Got an email that everything will reversed in 24 to 48 hours, still waiting, nothing has been done.

Market Place Rippoff

This seller is impossible to deal with
They claim the shoes have shipped . No notice of such
The Bay Customer service told me to wait 48 hours then sho proof of non delivery
Can not do that if the shoes never arrived
I demad that my $ 99.43 be returned

Withheld refunds and poor customer service

I purchased several items with a combined invoice of CAD 500. Each item was dispatched as a separate parcel, and one never arrived. I called customer service and they kept promising me a replacement or a repeat shipment. None of this happened. In each of my calls they would promise a solution and tell me to wait for a confirmation email. No email arrived. Over a month of wait, the item is not delivered and not available on their website, supervisors are never available, and the refund is not in my account.

Don’t bother with Hudson’s Bay

Saturday, late morning and the store is almost empty. I’ll tell you why. First, the clothing is so ugly. Good luck finding anything of value and basics. Secondly, every change room was closed except one. I guess they don’t care if their customers have to stand in line for 15 minutes. Too much to pay a salesperson! Lastly you stand at the cash forever while
people sign up for cards, pay bills, exchange clothing etc and no one cares! Two of the worst experiences lately and I am not sure when I will bother going back. Oh and if you venture to the kitchen dept you can spend 12$ on two miniature spatulas!

Terrible service

Terrible service, terrible delivery.
Just terrible. Only item delivered to date is socks.

3 Times on their help chat, and once the associate just ended the chat after sending a link to the help page.

Offered me a tiny 10$ refund on the shipping, and then didn't even refund that or tell me.

They took my money but never sent the order or a confirmation email!

I bought a Club Monaco dress and paid using Affirm. Any normal e-commerce store takes you to Affirm, at the end of online checkout and then once it's processed, it takes you back to the order confirmation page. Everything seemed rosey as The Bay had the same process and I was happy to see I was redirected back to the Order Confirmation page. I got several emails from Affirm saying Thank you for your payment. One of the emails said "We've received your $XYZ payment to your The Bay purchase, and they've applied it to your purchase."

Great, I thought - totally smooth sailing. Except ... Two weeks later I still hasn't received an Order Confirmation email which usually comes the same day you placed the order.

When I called Customer Service and told them what happened, they looked up my phone number and said there was no order associated with the date - nothing!! On top of that, they even tried to gas light me and say that Affirm processed payment but I, as the customer, never pressed Order Confirmed and basically implied it was my fault. What?!?! I had to ask the lady if she had ever done an e-commerce purchase before - was she being for real? As a customer, we don't even have the option to choose Order Confirmation after paying - it just automatically directs to the Thank You page. I even asked her what kind of e-commerce store TAKES YOUR MONEY and then never sends the order! I also asked her if other people have experience this and she pretended not to hear me. All of this is actually grounds for a lawsuit.

These people are trained to avoid answering your questions so the Bay has no liability and is not at fault. I would not recommend ordering from The Bay ever until they figure out the foundations of e-commerce. Seriously embarrassing since they are supposed to represent online retail as a major brand for Canada. Executives, wake up and invest in your online infrastructure to make things actually work. Not even optimize it.. get it to just work. You have so much money - I've seen mom and pop online stores operate e-commerce better than you.

Seriously embarrassing stuff guys.

Bad… just bad.

I purchased a pair of Adidas Ozweego shoes on thebay.com last week. Received the shoes but unfortunately, they felt tight around the toe box. I realized that I had to make the return with the seller as it was a marketplace purchase (which I didn’t even know was a thing) I honestly thought I would easily be able to return the shoes at The Bay store but I was wrong. I called The Bay customer support as I was not getting an answer from the seller (Adidas). The customer support representative was not helpful and put me on hold for 30 minutes just to tell me that there was nothing they could do to help. I asked the person if I could speak to their manager and they transferred me to the Adidas customer service line. Very unprofessional and rude. I will never buy on The Bay website again and will also try to avoid buying at their stores as this company does not know how to treat their loyal clients.

DO NOT SHOP AT THE BAY MARKETPLACE!!

DO NOT SHOP AT THE BAY MARKETPLACE!!! I purchased a formal "Ever New" jumpsuit back in Dec 2022, but the size did not work for me. I returned it with a return label and paid my shipping fees. They received the return item a few days later and acknowledged that they received it and the return was in "process" (I got an email to confirm this). It is now over 3mths later and I have not received a refund! This must be some sort of a scam. There's no way to contact the seller. They will tell you to "sign into your acct and go under returns and orders to contact the seller" but there is NO SUCH option to reply to or to contact a seller - at least not in my account. I've spent endless hours dealing with this over the Bay Cust Service Line and nobody can help!
They tell you they will contact the EVER NEW vendor and that they have "escalated the situation," but it does not get anywhere (they've done this now at least 3-4 times since January and nothing). ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT. This has been a complete waste of my time and money. I have never left a review before, but this is to warn others, so that they don't end up being taken advantage of and stolen from. STAY AWAY FROM THE BAY MARKETPLACE ITEMS, in particular the EVER NEW VENDOR that I have first hand experienced. WORST experience ever.

I bought a couple of reclining chairs…

I bought a couple of reclining chairs one of which stopped working properly within a couple of months.
I had also purchased an extended service contract when purchased.
It has been over 2 weeks and despite all the calls I have yet to hear from someone who is supposed to come and service the chair.
The customer service operators keep repeating the same message that someone will come to check/repair the chair but I have yet to hear from a technician with a definite date.
It is little wonder that the reviews for are so bad.
Maybe its time for a corporate management review because the person responsible for customer care is either incompetent or asleep on the job.

The Bay and Canpar forget both

Between The Bay and Canpar one of their incompetent carriers DO NOT even think of having anything to do with either one of them . Item delivery on its way Feb. 21confirmed by the Bay. Tracking information by Canpar a total lie. Have been getting tracking information from Canpar almost daily “ Delivery Before End of Day. Nothing has arrived and no additional tracking information from the Bay or Canpar has been updated. Ie: Tracking info has stopped. Try speaking to a Canpar agent on the phone, be prepared to wait until you’ve had it and hang up. The Bay Customer service continues to send form Apologies emails and has yet to solve the problem. I called The Bay customer service again to cancel my order and demand a refund. So instead of wasting more time waiting for an approval of a refund even though they have my money and I haven’t received what I paid for, I went to their Main Montreal store Customer Service and spoke to the executive of that department. She assured me that she is on the case and provide a quick resolution and closure on my case. Will update where this goes. In the meantime Run if you hear The Bay or Canpar Shipping.

I am beyond frustrated with this…

I am beyond frustrated with this company!!!! I ordered a couch in October 2022 was promised to have it shipped by March 2023, I just recieved a call this week that the delivery date is postponed to April now !!!! Customer service is no help just keeps apologizing!!!! I can't cancel the order because it's special order!!!!!
Please do yourself a favor and don't order anything at the bay!!!!!!

HORRIBLE Market Place Vendor “Ever New” at The Bay

I placed 2 orders with Ever New on The Bay website end of December, order #1218435512 & #1218437507. Received the items n none of them worked for me. #EverNew

Their return policy states $12 to send back the items per order.

I reached out to them SEVERAL TIMES to return my stuff, they refused to send me a return label, they said I had to issue it myself!!I went to Canada post n I had to spend $63 to send back both orders.

My 2 packages arrived on Jan 26th n I received no refund or any acknowledgment of receiving my returns.

I emailed them AGAIN they acknowledged only 1 return but still NO REFUND issued!

Is this some kind of scam? What kind of venders is The Bay choosing to do business with?!!!

They are supposed to refund me $514 dollars for the 2 orders. They claimed it was only gonna cost $12 per order to return. I had to spend $63 to send them back n THEY DIDN’T EVEN REFUND MY MONEY.

Terrible customer service from L'Momo

I ordered a L'Momo dress online through Hudson's Bay.
The dress was too big, I returned it straight away and they refused to refund me, falsely stating that the dress had been worn and that it was covered in deodorant and make-up (it wasn't). Is this how they protect their profit margins, I wonder?
Rude, unhelpful customer service from L'Momo. I suggest you only ever buy something you've tried on in a shop and then hope you never have to deal directly with L'Momo.

missing item of online purchase, bad customer service

I purchased two items of skin care products online from Hudson Bay on Dec. 25. I received one box (one item only) on Dec. 28. The packing list shows two items in the box. I called customer service regarding the missing item. They give me case number of refund. I received email confirmation on refund request. After that email, no response from the company. I emailed them to follow up. The representative emailed me that they delivered two items and wanted me to call police for investigation. I explained to her how the police can help me when I received the sealed box. Then, she created another case number for refund and mentioned it took 14 business days to process the refund. I kept waiting for their response and repeated the complaint process. I frustrated and helpless with their response. I have never experienced such bad customer service.

Do not have anything delivered by Canada Post.

Canada Post says they delivered an item, however, the item was not delivered. Too bad says the Bay, not our problem. Take it up with your insurance. I will never buy from this company ever again. Nor will I buy from a company who uses Canada Post as their carrier. Between the incompetence of Canada Post and The Bay, I'm on the hook to pay for something I never received. THANKS A LOT.

Worth jewelry ever ! Worth staff

I bought a 10K Yellow Gold neckless online and received it one month later.
As soon as my daughter wore it, the chain broke and the stone fell out and she could not find it.
I was told that it was my fault that I lost the diamond by The Bay's customer service. The employee was so rude and aggressive.
In my opinion, the reason why a gold neckless breaks after the first day is its low quality.
The store should take responsibility for the low quality of the product and at least take it back!

Delivery Catastrophe

Entered my Canada Post Flex Delivery info, and my order was processed. The Bay sends my $400 Breville with Purolator, who does NOT deliver to P.O. box addresses. Why would they use this courier? Sent it to my billing address, a seasonal property. I am not there! Customer service apologizes, says to "take it up with my insurance and the police". Do Not trust theBay online. Terrible experience.

Update:
So it is now March 2023, 3 months have passed and still zero response/follow up since this fiasco with the Bay, and this review. I wish I had read these Trust Piolot reviews before my purchase. My fault as a rookie online shopper. Live and learn(ed to never patronize the Bay again)!! I must also say I am surprised that Breville would continue to allow there products to be sullied by this retailler.
