Worst online store, avoid it

I bought a pair of shoes online from The Bay on November 5, they shipped it a few days later using Intelcom (another terrible company). As usual, Intelcom failed to deliver the package and it took me a few phone calls for them to finally confirm it was lost in transit.

That was when my nightmare of attempting to get a refund from Hudson's Bay begum. They assure they have issued a refund on November 24 but I'm now pretty sure that is a blunt lie. I tried calling and chatting with them online many times and each interaction gets more frustrating. The agents just repeat a script and each time I get a different story or lie (ie.

that they have escalated the case only to learn on my next call that never happened), and they are unable to actually help you. After almost 2 months of back and forth, I feel disrespected and scammed, and don't think they have any intention of refunding my money.

It's sad to see that a Canadian company that used to have a good reputation has turned into a scam.

Needless to say, avoid if possible to buy anything from Hudson's Bay. This was definitely the last time I give them my money.

Broken heating pad I had to pay for

I ordered a heating pad for my mother, and was a "market seller" off the Bay website, it came and barely got warm, after opening the box I did notice the bag in came in had been torn open. I contacted The Bay and told them it was not heating up, I was told no problem you can return it but it will cost you 10$ processing fee. So I was sent a USED and broken item and had to pay to have it shipped to me and then had to pay a 10$ processing fee. WHAT!!!!
I obviously was upset, but the bay would not back down, so I had to pay for a broken item.

Great staffer at MicMac Mall Bay

Bernice at MicMac was awesome, had a return in Mens, had a pleasant exchange then found other items that fit better, and nice quality. Appreciated her advice and direct approach. Then ran into her again in ladies, again found a couple of perfect items for my wife. Great shopping experience!! Thanks Bernice!

The Hudson Bay BAD customer service!!! Horrible

The Hudson Bay has gone down hill with their customer service. I have never encountered such horrible customer service. I sent two "MarketPlace" returns back to them and I have not yet received my refund 2 weeks later. Stay away from ordering from the Bay “Marketplace” if you are looking for good Customer Service as I have called their call centre located some place in the world other than Canada and the employees are clueless, they sound like they are reading from a script when they answer. It has been the worst Customer Service experience for me!!!!!

TheBay marketplace headache

They added some marketplace sellers and needed to mark that you are buying things from the marketplace seller!!! The department stores only have some sizes, and sometimes you have to order a few sizes and keep just one. Return online orders to the store was very friendly and easy until marketplace sellers came to the Bay: all of them have different return [policies and do not cover return shipping, and you can't return merchandise to the store. I ordered jackets for my son, and when I saw that the Bay does not sell them, I cancelled the order 2.5h after purchase!!!!! After 24h, I received an email that the merchandise was shipped! They just ignored my cancellation!!! In this way, The Bay will lose its loyal customers and end up like Sears or Zellers. Think of that!!!

Terrible experience.

Bought a couch a year ago and it came damaged. They said deal with natuzzi (the manufacturer). After a few months of chasing them down on the phone and them trying to get it repaired. We were told we get a refund to spend at the bay. The bay says only it can be spent on natuzzi products, which they no longer carry anymore. They changed the brand of the identical couches to something else… We’re three hours from a bay location and they don’t deliver and they continue to hold my money ransom. This was a terrible experience that is still ongoing and I will never shop there again.

Do not buy Effy rings from The Bay.

They sell Effy rings, which are absolutely terrible quality and totally over priced.To be fair they did refund the money without any problems, hence 2 stars not 1.
Do not ever buy an Effy Ring. Absolutely terrible quality, never seen a diamond so bad. No Effy stamp on it, not in an Effy box. We were so concerned that I called Effy first as as we figured someone had switched it and the Bay may have had a theft problem.
Not so, the customer service lady said "why do you
have a problem with it " I explained, and she said "that's what you get for buying online"!!!
They are happy to peddle trash from India, it was stamped KRN which is in Mumbai, and pass it off as from the US.

Worst online shopping site

Worst online shopping experience ever. I used to love the Bay, our trusted Canadian store. I ordered and paid for 2 pairs of sneakers for my 2 kids, it took a couple weeks for the order to arrive and voila! only one pair of shoes in the box. I waited 2 more weeks and nothing. I called the Bay and they said they'll contact the seller (huh?) and I'll receive information in 24 to 48 hours. A full 10 days later, nothing. I called the Bay again only to learn that they consider themselves NOT RESPONSIBLE for orders because they use a third party fulfillment centre ("Marketplace"). I was told that if I have an issue with the order I have to deal with them. Just like that, the Bay washed their hands and one of my kids is left without shoes. The Bay just lost another longtime customer today

Terrible experience dealing with the Bay

I bought a couch, it turns out, through their market place third party. I had no idea, it looks like it's from The Bay and even the payment shows up as The Bay on my credit card. The couch broke on the first day and now the Bay has passed all blame to the third party and refuses to refund my money. The third party has in theory agreed to refund my money but a month later it is not refunded and neither party will deal with me. They are passing the blame to each other. I will never shop at the Bay again.

Hudson's Bay Nightmare

After the nightmare of an experience I've had I will never order from Hudson's Bay again. After wasting so much time on multiple phone calls with Purolator trying to figure out why my package has been sitting in my town for a week I find out that Hudson's Bay shipped the item incorrectly. They put the same tracking number on two customers packages making it ultimately undeliverable and a complete waste of my time. When I called customer service they offered me "free shipping" next time as an incentive to shop with them again and reorder. Which is a total joke as all HB orders over $70 get free shipping and my order was over $200. Not to mention the item I ordered is seasonal and having to wait a month total for it to actually arrive to me in unacceptable.

Worst experience EVER

Worst experience EVER. I have bought tens of thousands of dollars from The Bay over the years and it was great dealing with these guys.
NO LONGER.
They have gone from best to worst.
Unbelievable. DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY.
I bought two jackets from them using PayBright.
One was immediately canceled. Yet they continue to bill me for both.
Countless phone calls (to CSR in South Africa where their call centers are located) and endless emails to the Bay with the same cookie cutter responses. Hours of wasted time and aggravation. Finally I have filed a dispute with Visa.

DO NOT USE PAYBRIGHT
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THE BAY

This company has the worst Customer…

This company has the worst Customer Service. Never buy any household items from them.It’s Unfortunate that a company with our Canadian Flag has a response team that doesn’t care for its public who put their faith and money with them.
They DoNot honour their own warranty.
Have plenty of excuses and are spoiling the brand name of the product they represent/sell.
Never Again will be make this mistake and strongly recommend Others Not to make the same mistake as us.

MATTRESS?

MATTRESS?? DONT BUY HERE!!!! Worst customer service ever I paid $3000 and mattress fell apart stitching fell out!!!! Called and called and sent all photos and requested information required . Called again and again and again… they give you a different story every time. Ultimately they want you to get so frustrated you go away!! Holding now for 25 minutes will likely be disconnected. This company will go bankrupt for sure. Who’s managing this huge chain they have serious management issues. Don’t shop here!!! Be warned

Worst online shopping website

I ordered over 20 times different items from the bay, but the order gets cancelled after few days. I believe it is the worst website for shopping. It is not a trust worthy website at all, when you are a buying a present after searching and you think that you are done with it and suddenly your order gets cancelled. Other experiences when you buy final sale items and you receive them totally diffected and then they tell that it's a final sale where you cannot exchange or return.
