Totally overrated and so commercialised. Food okay but not worth the money. Veg with my steak pie was a spoonful of mash, one carrot and a handful of greens - very poor.
Wouldn’t recommend and would certainly never visit again.

Hi I’m Roberta H. From Maryland. I have a senior yellow lab who was very tired of his dog food. We switched him to the Farmer’s Dog and he absolves it. He gobbles down every meal and even eats his medicine when we put it in his food. And the people who work at the Farmer’s Dog are so nice and helpful. Try it today!

My dog absolutely loves Farmers Dog food. He’s 10 years old and has very few teeth so he has to eat soft food. I’m so happy that he loves his food. He dances around when it’s time to eat. He never has any issues with the food and his poops are smaller and don’t stink as much. Roscoe has been eating this food for a year now. Best decision I ever made.

I bought this mainly for my 14 year old dog who i thought might benefit from this food. I had been given some food to try and initially she had more energy and seemed to thrive on the food. 5 months into this food she had bloody diarrhea. I immediately took her off the food and fed her homemade dog food again. The bleeding and diarrhea
resolved as well as excessive drooling that had started. I had continued to feed my younger dog the food until today. Another much younger dog is now bleeding with her poop. I had given her some of the packs I had gotten for my older dog. I have cancelled this food and destroyed the rest of the dog food that I had in my freezer. I
believe something was very wrong with this specific shipment of dog food. It was the beef packs from what I had been feeding at the time. I will never order this food again for any of my pets. Just because its expensive and billed as high quality doesn't mean its actually always high quality.

My 15 yr old dog thrived on The Farmer’s Dog and now my 2 yr old is getting healthy on the same diet. Muffy was rescued from the streets just 25 days ago and was severely underweight. The Farmer’s Dog staff have developed a plan to get her up to a healthy weight at a measured pace as her vet told me was necessary. She has already gained 2.5 lbs and the vet is very pleased with the progress. I can’t say enough about how kind and helpful the staff are when I have called for help and information. Muffy loves the food and I wholeheartedly recommend this company to everyone. Great food and great people. Who could ask for more!

The Farmer's Dog does not do a good job of explaining how their program works. Their site just says the they do the math based on your dog type and size and nutrition needs. What you quickly find out is that they are banking on you, the customer, not getting to their website fast enough to stop the shipments - which double in size every time. By the third shipment, you have nearly two months worth of food and no where to store it and have to throw away very expensive food. This is a company looking to move as much product as possible. Incredibly dishonest behavior.

Finally—A Fresh Food Company That Doesn’t Cut Corners. I just wanted to share how grateful I am for The Farmer’s Dog and their thoughtful team. My pups have been thriving on this food — his energy, coat, and overall happiness say it all 💛

I switched over from another fresh food company because the portion sizes kept getting smaller after a few months. I found that I was paying more and receiving less.

I’ve been with the Farmers for over a year now and still impressed by the consistency of the quality and quantity. I have three dogs so I usually mix this with a freeze dried dog food.

The customer service with Farmers dog has always been courteous, kind and helpful. I also love how the remaining portions can be tracked in my account to ensure that I receive just the right amount in each order.

I received a shipment that was not up to the usual standards. Sent an email, then a text with pictures and Amanda got right back to me within a few minutes! She was so pleasant to work with and fixed everything. Three cheers for fabulous customer service on top of a very convenient product. More time to play with the dog!

Big fans of The Farmers Dog ! Their customer service is top notch. Ordering is easy and there is lots of flexibility. But most importantly, our dog loves the food and the results speak for themselves !

I started the Farmer’s dog food hesitantly, hate subscriptions. But my Pitbulls mix didn’t want to eat what the doctor recommended, he is 15 years old, was not doing well with a heart, and digestive issues. Well, to my surprise, he has been eating all his food, standing up longer, walking further than he was. He will be 16 Jan. 1, and with this food, I know he will celebrate his birthday, thanks to the Farmers Dog Food❤️ Also, the representative have been helping me since I stared the subscription August 2025. Easy to defrost the bag, I microwave a bowl for Willow which he loves. Whatever time he has left, I’m glad he has improved with this food, leaven noticed less pain when he moves around.

The Farmer’s Dog has been life-changing for my pup, Simba! He’s lost over 10 pounds in a year and looks happier and healthier than ever, he even acts like a puppy again. I love that the ingredients are real and wholesome, and it feels great knowing exactly what’s in his food.

My dog Marley ( Pharaoh Hound) 11 years rescued from last 24 in Malta. He is without a doubt the fussiest eater imaginable. I’ve always believed that through proper nutrition and exercise will keep you healthy. I was hesitant about shifting gears on new food for him and finally gave in. Absolutely love what I’m seeing! He was expectedly going to be a fuss with chain diet, so I followed The Farmers Dog guidelines and now he is not only finishing a full package as suggested but licking the bowl across the floor to get every last bite. I’m sold and the support is Absolutely fantastic! Bravo, my dog is bouncing around, playful, energetic and his coat is absolutely beautiful. Oh and btw, Marley was never given dry food or commercial canned products. Only what seemed like the best available, The Farmers Dog, worth every penny and couldn’t be more thankful for this outcome.

Our dog is really old and had stopped eating. As a last ditch effort, I bought the Farmer's Dog food hoping she would eat. She did! She loved this food and even gained some weight. I'm so happy with this product and would encourage everyone with a dog to give it a try.

Since I've had our dog on the Farmer's dog food, he has improved significantly from what he was on the old food. He is 15 and a half years old and been my best bud. He's got more pep in his step and his eyes have even cleared up somewhat. I don't think they're completely cleared up but they look so much better than they did. Makes me think that he can see a little bit better as well. On this Farmer's dog he has kept his weight at where we needed at.

My 13 year old dog Luna has recently struggled with arthritis issues so we put her on, in my opinion, an excess amount of pain medication - she was up to 8+ pills a day. A friend of mine mentioned that food will sometimes cause inflammation for dog’s joints and to consider changing her food. I’ve always thought about the farmers dog as an option but was concerned about the food storage, her allergies and cost. I decided to make the change when the pain medication was only working for short periods of time and the costs for vet visits and medication began to rise. I’m so happy I made the switch to farmer’s dog because since switching, she no longer limps, crys or struggles to walk and I have reduced her pain meds back to reasonable doses such as one or two pills a a day. I’m not saying she is cured but I think the food she was on was exacerbating her arthritis or joint issues. The cost is on the higher end but is absolutely worth every penny if I get to have my girl for much longer and is healthy, comfortable and happy with the food she seems to just love.

The customer service at The Farmers Dog is top notch. They are so responsive, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I can’t sing their praises enough from a consumer perspective. My dogs on the other hand LOVE the food. They gulp it up immediately and I feel better knowing I am giving them healthy real food. I am a dog mom so they are my babies. 5 Stars from both myself and my two fur babies Fitz and Penny.

I have fed my dogs for seventeen years, a combination of the best kibble ground up, a premium researched canned dog food, and eggs, cheese, additional proteins like meat, etc. I guess I have done very well as my oldest pup is now 17 years old. I noticed once I switched to Farmer’s Dog, my 3 pups have more energy, better physical appearance, and better anticipation towards dinner. I do not have any extra food after mealtimes. This company not only provides excellent food, but the customer service to adjust the food to my dog’s medical needs is invaluable. I talked with Dylan today on a chat, changed my order to adjust to Jack, my 15-year-old mini poodle’s actual consumption and calorie needs, and it was so easy. I will never go back to my own ideas of best nutrition. I’ve read the pros and cons of this company but honestly, the cons are trivial. The packs work fine, the cost is not much more than the better-quality kibble and canned, and the result of this food is magical. I highly recommend Farmer’s Dog to anyone who cares about their dogs. On an observation note, my eldest mini poodle had very hard stools. This new diet has changed that to a normal daily regular bowel movement, something that has worried me in his old age. I have just moved states and totally spaced on updating my address, missed the window to update my order and reached out to customer support, Britney on the CS team went above and beyond my expectations and helped in ways I wouldn’t have expected, truly a customer first business!!
