We tried Farmers Dog for a few months and decided that it wasn’t how we wanted to feed our dogs.
When we informed the company of our decision, (mainly because they removed funds from our personal account WAY too early), they informed us that they would NOT be returning our $186.xx, even though the cancellation was sent almost two weeks before the next shipment is to arrive.
So, even though we still have a 9 day supply of Farmers Fog and let them know we no longer choose to be customers, they informed us that the company was keeping the money that they took from our account without consulting us first.
Farmers Dog won’t be in business very long if this is their Standard Operating Procedure.
It has caused ill will and the company will suffer losses from bad reviews and word of mouth.
Personally, I’m so aggravated by this, I might even call the local news for a human/dog interest story where the buyer needs to be aware of bad business practices.
The BBB will also be informed.

I live in Taxes and have been a customer of the Farmer's Dog through two dogs. The packaging and shipping of the food has gone dog hill. It has progressed so far down that I am writing this review to warn other dog owners. If you are concerned about the health of your dog look someplace else for fresh dog food.

Stella is a rescue dog that found us when she was just 6 months old. Stella is 15 now and doing well thanks to The Farmer’s Dog. We are so grateful that we found The Farmer’s Dog when we did. You have literally saved her life. And whenever I have the good fortune of dealing directly with an employee of The Farmer’s Dog it has been wonderful. 100% of the time after dealing with doggie support staff with The Farmer’s Dog I am in a better mood. Thank you to the entire doggie support staff at The Farmer’s Dog, from the bottom up. It takes all of you to make this happen for our girl and we are so grateful for what you do. Please know how appreciated you all are.
My dog Maxine has suddenly started to show more energy and enthusiasm playing with other dogs and running in the dog park. Even others owners have commented on it.
At first, I thought it was because she was coming out of a funk from her older sibling dying almost a year ago. Then it dawned on me that she had recently restarted on The Farmer's Dog after being off it for several months. I had run out and just hadn't renewed. Maxine wasn't fond of the kibble after The Farmer's Dog but I just got lazy and hadn't reordered. Then the vet told me Maxine had gained 7 pounds and needed to lose it. I switched her back to FD and she lost the extra weight in about two months.
It finally dawned on me that her new-found energy and enthusiasm was because she was back on FD. She had lost weight and was feeling good again. Now she insists on going to the dog park every day and loves to romp and run, even though she is 8 years old.
I feel guilty for not getting her back on FD immediately but Maxine reminded me that it's the best food I can give her.

Not only do my dogs love the food, any time that I have had a question or needed help the customer service has been fantastic. I have had to adjust my portions for growing pups, and changes with my own schedules to ensure things lined up, and they have always been quick and happy to help, and showing care in what they do! I have truly been incredibly thankful that I switched to feeding with The Farmers Dog.

Great food but their delivery partner is awful. Sometimes I get my order days early (which is a problem as I have limited storage space). Other times it arrives days late (which is a problem because I run out of food). You never know when an order is coming until the day it is arriving and even then it often does not arrive. So it’s impossible to plan around the delivery. And the farmers dog reps (who are nice but useless) admit the delivery tracking info is just an estimate an unreliable. Potentially great company ruined by a horrible delivery partner. I am cancelling.

I love this company! My dog loved the food and his name on it was adorable! He also got a free cooling bag and a storage container to go with it! I would definitely recommend for picky eaters! He loved it! I will buy again!

You always have Such A Remarkable Associate "Every Time....Every Call♥️.. Thank Everyone. Amazing 💥💥
And they are Extremely Knowledgeable, As Well As Kind. And TODAY I SPOKE WITH ANOTHER REMARKABLE ASSOCIATE ♥️♥️♥️💯
Our sweet Lily girl is 15 years old and has become a VERY picky eater (for more than one reason, I'm sure). We went from hard kibble nuggets to soft food (which made her have very loose stools), so we started making her food from scratch. No matter what we tried, she didn't really care for it and was not interested in eating much at all. We were really starting to worry about keeping her well-nourished in her old age.
I was seeing constant ads for The Farmer's Dog with big savings, so we decided to give it a try.
From the first helping she LOVED it. Lily finishes every bowl and licks it clean! I cannot thank you enough for helping us take the best care of our Lily girl💕🐾💕
Blessings to all of you at TheFarmer's Dog!

Although my dog liked the food at first, now after 6 months my dog refuses to eat it and chooses to go without eating for longer than a day until we offer something else. Also, upon the third delivery of food, I told The Farmer's Dog that I would no longer participate in their picing scheme. The first delivery was half price as advertised. The second and third deliveries were full price; however, the third delivery was much less food because I reported that each pouch of food was lasting 1-2 meals (about half a day) longer than the expected 2 days. The Farmer's Dog dramatically reduced the quantity of the third delivery with zero reduction in cost because it charges by the day. Other than on a cruise ship does one pay for food by the day instead of by the pound at the grocery store or by meal at a restaurant.

We used to cook for our dog but as the symptoms of Cushings’disease progressed, we started a subscription with the Farmer’s Dog. They consistently delivered quality on time with great customer services. Unfortunately, our little angel, Lucky, passed away (Oct 27) due to complications and we cancelled our subscription. The company refunded our last shipment as it arrived just as Lucky passed and sent a beautiful plant we keep in Lucky’s memory next to his bed. We will certainly rescue another dog in the future and will continue to be a Farmer’s Dog customer.

We started The Farmer’s Dog almost 2 years ago. We have a Chiweenie and a Boston terrier. My Chiweenie was a roughly 4 years old when we started he wasn’t real active overweight, and maybe not really pleasant to be around according to my neighbor lol. We started The Farmer’s Dog and my Chiweenie named Ben came to life. He would run around. He had a smile on his face and he all felt wonderful. Leo our Boston also was even more energetic and happy. Now they both wear smiles on their face all the time can’t wait to eat, and I am just so grateful that they are living their best live lives. You can tell they feel amazing. My neighbor even thought Ben was an old dog and he wasn’t. So keep up the good work and thank you so much for all that you do.

First off, it's very expensive. Also, we found the food inconvenient because of the freezer space required. The fact that the packaging is non-resealable is really bad for us. Also, and this is the most important one, the dog absolutely hates it. He would rather starve them eat it.

This nearly killed our dog within a month! Have $1,000 of dollars in vet bills! It wasn’t the first they have seen it in their food. This comment will be deleted like the others. But we nearly lost our baby. He was throwing up and pooping blood at the same time! Their solution refund us all the orders. Just offering such a solution shows they do not even care about the animals they claim to cater to. DO NOT BUY! The smaller the dog the faster the ill-effects happened, this is a quote from our vet. Our dog suffers from separation anxiety. For him to be hospitalized for 3 days was just awful. The vet was kind enough to let us come visit during his treatments. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SMALL BREED DOG.

My dog loves this food. I love working with the company. They are very responsive to changes.
My terrier mix has had very itchy skin his entire life. I rescued him when he was about two, and have had him eight years. I had him allergy tested and went to great lengths to find dog food that he wasn't allergic to. I put him on the one food I could find, but even with that he still had to be on a prescription for allergies all these years or he would literally scratch and chew himself until he bled.
I decided to try homemade dog food but I wasn’t sure where to start. I found Farmer’s dog and started him on the DIY program.
Since he has been on the DIY recipe with the nutrition packet they provide, he is not itching at all and he is off his prescription. He is so calm! I am amazed. I wish I had done this years ago.
The farmers dog DIY program gave me an affordable path that I could try with some confidence. My pup is so happy and I’m feeling much more optimistic about his future. Thank you Farmer’s dog!! I highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of trying it out.
Also wanted to add, when I started this I had a lot of questions. They were great about responding and explaining things to me.

We have two dogs, one that will eat anything and one that half the time won’t even eat a treat. Both of them love this food. Our picky eater downright dances when I’m fixing their dishes. The only downside is you need room in your freezer. I’m trying The Farmers Dog in hopes that our dogs will lose some weight.
