Don't Bother.
I'm coming to retirement after selling antiques and collectable for over 40 years. This company is so unprofessional and it's offers are shocking. They will offer you £60 and then when you say just return my stuff they will come back with £250. I personally believe them to be dishonest. They will NOT return your items in the same tidy way you send them. Don't reply as you will be lying. In business they are known as bottom feeders.
As I expected, you did not mention the condition items were returned. This seems to be mentioned a lot in reviews. You are vindictive.

All offers we make are based on the scrap value of genuine precious metals, not the retail or collectible value of items. In this case, some of the pieces received were not silver, so they could not be valued at a silver scrap rate, which affected the overall offer.
We would like to gently clarify that our offers are not increased in the way described. Each valuation is carried out carefully and consistently based on the items we receive and their material content. As we cover all postage and insurance costs both ways, we always aim to reach an agreement where possible, although this isn’t always achievable.
We are sorry that on this occasion we were unable to meet your expectations, particularly as you have used our service before. Your items have been returned to you free of charge.

This is the second time that I’ve used…
This is the second time that I’ve used The Gold Company and both have been seamless. It’s so easy to order your pack online, it arrives swiftly and the instructions are so simple. Within a day of sending I had a valuation via text, once I accepted it was in my bank within the hour. Wow what a valuation!
I heard the advert on the radio and I had a few bits of broken old gold jewellery so I texted the number and was sent a prepaid envelope very quickly ….
I sent the items and a day later had a call to say they had received it… great communication from Evelina..
I got a call with the valuation which was way way more than I expected, I accepted the offer and gave my bank details and the money was in my account as soon as I ended the call… This was a fantastic prompt service and completely recommend this trusted company … The communication was great throughout and what a bonus for items that were no longer fit for use ….

’m extremely disappointed with the…
’m extremely disappointed with the offer I received. I sent in over £1,000 worth of gold and silver jewellery and was offered just £100 — which honestly felt insulting. The valuation was nowhere near fair market value and didn’t reflect the weight or quality of the items.
It feels like the company relies on customers not knowing the true value of their jewellery. Thankfully, I declined the offer. I would strongly recommend anyone considering selling their gold or silver to get an independent valuation first.

As explained during our phone conversation, for clarity, the valuation of £168.02 was based solely on the scrap gold value of the two rings and the silver items you sent to us. The remaining pieces submitted were non-precious, meaning they did not contain gold or silver content and could not be included in the scrap metal valuation.
We would also like to clarify that retail prices, which is what you originally paid, include design, branding, craftsmanship, VAT, and retailer margins, whereas scrap value reflects only the weight and purity of the metal at current market prices. This is why the offer you received was lower than the original purchase price.
Our service is completely free and without an obligation to sell. We cover all valuation, insurance, and postage costs, both to receive and return your items. Naturally, it is in our best interest to provide a fair and competitive offer that reflect the current market value of the precious metals. While we always strive to keep our customers happy, we also need to be realistic about prices to ensure that valuations are accurate and transparent.

Sent off my items on Wednesday had a phone call Thursday to explain some items werent precious and the phone I sent were too old but they were still happy to give me a valuation on all. £388 straight in my bank while I was on the phone to them.
