Hah! If only I had read these reviews before I ordered. I too received one half of the items ordered and paid for. No response to 3 emails. I am now writing these items off. Never order from the Health Bay. What a despicable cheating approach in the health sector. Did I say NEVER ORDER FROM HEALTH BAY? Just in case...NEVER ORDER FROM HEALTH BAY. They take your money, deliver short and never respond.
Addendum to this...I did eventually receive a response to my emails telling me the items had been dispatched. And they have now arrived!

Never Again

Item ordered never arrived despite the money being taken from my account. Health bay fail to answer their phones or return emails. I had to file a claim through PayPal to get my money back. Wont be using this company again and would recommend you don't buy from them either.

Perfect!!

I ordered some sushi ginger -- 10 jars. It was only after I'd done that, that I saw the reviews here and that some other people had experienced problems with their orders. I was thrilled and delighted to recieve my order two days after I placed it, with absolutely no problems - and the product itself is just what I was looking for.

I am really pleased!

Avoid at all costs

I ordered 5 lots of Milk Thistle tablets and only received 4. They ignored by first 2 emails then responded saying they would send out the item. Never recieved it - more ignored emails and a complete failure to answer phone. Threatened them with trading standards and Chargeback to recover my money. They finally relented (told me item was out of stock when there were 13 in stock when I enquired) and refunded the cost. Shame because I would have continued to use them and they would have had hundreds of pounds of business from me. To all the others on here who lost out I recommend trying your Debit Card providers Chargeback scheme to recover your money. Just Google the scheme and your bank can help you recover your money!

Best price, great service.

I've ordered some bags of brown rice. Some of them arrived open, so I took the photos and send them to the company. They got back straight away, and sent me the replacements. I'll definitely repeat the order!

DO NOT USE THE HEALTH BAY

I received my parcel well over a month ago now with one of the items missing. I emailed them and received no response, called them three days later and was casually told the item was out of stock at the time, despite being charged. The guy told me he'd send the item out but it is yet to arrive. I received no email to inform me the item had been dispatched so I'm not convinced he actually did anything about it. A month later and I've called them more times than I can count, left a message and been told someone would get back to me. It's near impossible to get through to them on the phone as they're 'experiencing a high volume of calls at the moment'. Why not attempt to provide some decent service then? I've also emailed, nothing. This company actually has the cheek to claim they 'aim to provide one of the most effeciently run services on the Internet'?? It clearly isn't the first time this has happened either, according to the reviews before mine. Absolute disgrace.

Lack of customer service

As other reviews on this site have acknowledged, the Health Bay does not have a customer service committed to solving any issues with wrong/missing items in an order. I recently discovered this by myself. Instead of two items I ordered I received two items that were not even remotely similar and completely useless to me. Four days ago I sent an e-mail to customer service asking for an exchange or refund. I never received a response. The worthless items they sent me are of minor value and it is not worth my time to pursue this matter further. However, I certainly want to avoid a situation where something like that happens with higher value items. This is why I am taking my business elsewhere.

Best prices and a vast amount of health products.

I often buy vitamins, coconut water and organic food products from them. They have the best prices and a good cash back loyalty scheme. They offer fast delivery and all their products come carefully packed in bubble wrap. I never had a missing item or a damaged item. I love their long expiry dates and free delivery (over £40). I would recommend them to anyone.

Wrong order, Wrong description,Wrong address, Not refunding + Lead my son to have severe allergic reaction.

I decided to make a purchase from TheHealthBay as I needed specific foods that didn't contain certain Ingredients, after building up a shopping basket on their website over the course of a couple of day's, the goods which I ordered stated that they did not contain the ingredients my 7 month old baby is surverrly allergic too.

Sadly, after waiting longer than expected for my order to arrive, I immediately noticed that this was not the case, 35% of my order contained the Ingredients I was avoiding and they were not listed on their website, I fed my 7 month old baby one nibble of a gluten free oatcake and noticed a immediate reaction all over his body, it wasn't till later that I spotted in small print it contained Ingredients once again that my baby could not have.

My 7 month old son's body was covered in huge blisters with irritant red soreness extending into his eyes affecting his vision, he cried for 8 hours solid with out a pause for air, I thought that he was going to die, after rushing him into the hospital we had to go through a number of steps and get passed from one specialist to the other, we arrived home at 3am the next morning it was only at that time his itching started to calm down, he did not sleep till the following night and we had to take him to the doctors the day after to have another review on his reaction. along with wear this awful uncomfortable clothing which stopped the blisters getting any worse.

I telephoned TheHealthBay and explained my situiation to their manager (James) he wasn't concerned in the slightest and claimed that it was all my fault, I was in tears on the telephone, I even sent him photos on my sons skin, he told me to return the goods and stated that it would only cost £2.00 at the maximum for a return,then I would be refunded, (the cheapest return price was £12.00 not £2.00)

I returned the goods to the address clearly illustrated and displayed on their website, with proof of postage proof of delivery along with proof of signature hoping that I would be reimbursed with my £13.40.

After a week of no reply, I contacted theHealthBay again, who claimed that I had not returned the goods and said that they would not be refunding me, I had to send them the proof that I had, they then claimed that the address was in-correct, the address was correct they just couldn't be bothered to check it, eventually they contradicted themselves yet again, they said that they would be refunding me £11.00 and not my full £13.40 as they had to get my parcel delivered from their office to their warehouse. it has been day's and I haven't received a penny from
TheHealthBay

I am now speaking with a solicitor about this, I have all the telephone conversations recorded and medical records copied even the photographs of the description of their goods on their website, trading standards are now involved and the Telegraph and Argos Newspaper would like to make an article about it.

I would strongly advise anybody thinking of using this company to steer away while you still can, don't say that I haven't warned you.

SHORT SUPPLIED AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased 10 x Steenbergs Almond Extract 100ml from thehealthbay.com on the 2/8/13. I received a delivery a few days later but was 1 bottle short. After two weeks of contacting the customer service team they have still not looked into the shortage. I have asked on numerous occasions for a refund or a bottle to be sent to rectify the shortage. They have refused to do this to date. They are happy to take your money and short supply you, knowing they are making an extra few quid!! Apart from the customer service team not helping with this issue, and not returning any of my calls as promised, there attitude was appalling. DONT BUY FROM HEALTH BAY!!!

Beware missing items in packing

I ordered multiple items - the most expensive one was missing from the box I received.

Upon writing to Thehealthbay to query this, they sent me a link to an uploaded video of the packing. I could tell the box was very different from the one I'd received (and there was no telling when this video was made).

I gave in to their insistence that I was wrong, as there was nothing I could do. They kept claiming that I threw the item away with the packing (which is ridiculous, as it was physically the largest one by far!).

Anyway, I'm not sure what you can do to protect yourself. Just be aware that their service aims to prove them right and the customer wrong. They don't try to resolve such situations amicably.

great service

i placed my order yesterday and received it today. They sent me an order confirmation email and then followed up by sending me a tracking email. I even phoned them to check where the product was as i couldnt get into my emails and they updated me with it's whereabouts. Can't find any complaints-really smooth service.
