Overpaid and NO WAY to speak to anyone

I went to pay my fine online and it said my card had been declined. So I tried again. Still said it had been declined. So I rang them to make the payment instead. That went through. I then checked my bank balance and the first two online payments HAD gone through. I contacted my bank and apparently the payments are pending so ok at the moment but there is absolutely no way to speak to anyone at the IPC it's all recorded messages and none of them have a suitable option for overpayments. I can only hope they don't take all 3 payments and my bank can sort if they do. I recommend you DONT use the online payments option and just call the number on your fine.

About as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Absolutely useless... I was hoping to resolve a minor issue through them after overpaying for parking and then getting hit with a large fine, to be then told that I needed to go back to the original company and try and resolve with them... so what's the point in this company that's supposed to mediate but isn't interested or wants to mediate or listen to complaints.

About as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Pointless waste of time - provides inaccurate information

Talk about a student marking their mates homework. I had an issue with a parking ticket issued incorrectly when parked on a public road, not in a parking company controlled area, and I didn't receive confirmation that it had been cancelled by them. I complained to the IPC, who said that I hadn't followed the parking companies complaints process (I had, and they had ignored me) and that they wouldn't do anything until I had complained. So I complained again, that they were ignoring the issue that the parking company had failed to reply after two months. "We can only assist if you complain". Eventually, I got a reply to my complaint, where they basically said "we don't think we acted incorrectly, so thanks". Complained to the IPC for the third time, who then ignored any concerns, and said "we've seen the cancellation they sent to your email address", we're not taking any action. Helpfully, they provided a copy of said email. Which had the wrong address on, but they close their complaints immediately so you cannot challenge anything. An utterly pointless pursuit, as it is clear that despite tickets being incorrectly issued and DVLA data being accessed without good reason, they will not take any action.

This so called "Governing Body" is as…

This so called "Governing Body" is as corrupt at the parking companies in it. They can clearly see the issue, their own guidelines state the requirements, and if you meet the requirements, they still close the case. This is typical of the corruption in the parking system in the UK and needs to be stopped. They don't even have a contact page, says everything you need to know, What a disgusting joke this has become and now we need to take action ourselves to remove these companies and their scam's.

Thieves

Thieves, how they get away with it I don't know. Should be ashamed of themselves.

What is the point of this organisation?

What is the point of this organisation? They have not even read the email I sent to them and have supplied back "incorrect information" and not even their drop down box is complete for making complaints. They keep closing my complaints before they have even clearly "understood" my complaint. It's a bit like the cat looking after the pigeons? If I were running this organisation vertually 100% of 1 star reviews would require serious internal action but it's obvious they dont give a damn. OR, are all these members of the great British public wrong?

I came here hoping to find a way to…

I came here hoping to find a way to make a formal complaint about a member of this organisation that say they uphold a code of practice. Ocean Parking have brazenly manipulated data to try and charge me an overnight parking fine, yet I have ring doorbell footage and GPS tracking that proves I was not there. If there is anyone reading this that can direct me on how to deal with this blatant fraud please reach out. Thanks

Waste of time

Waste of time. Spent weeks going back and forth, uploading evidence, to be told there’s nothing they can do.

Waste of space

Totally dishonest group that have only the interest of its paymaster members. Could not care less about the harassed motorists. Allows members to breach its "code of conduct " without giving it a second thought. Waste of time complaining about a member as they are all buddy buddy.

Incompetence

The IPC seems to have become increasingly hostile to motorcycles. One of their members prevented my bike from entering a car park and then tried charging £100 for 15 seconds of “parking”. When I questioned it I was told that No Motorcycle symbols meant the opposite?! The landowner ended up apologising in the local newspaper for the IPC’s incompetence.

Scam

Had multiple letters from this company using the same photo for parking charges, and just using different time and date of the parking.

Not worth engaging in dialogue

I got a PCN for parking my motorbike in my parking space in my apartment block. Reason - did not display valid parking permit in my windscreen. UK CPM refused to void the ticket, even after the landlord of the building told them to.
So I tried the IPC. I sent all my details and information, they asked for more information. It kept on going round in circles. For example, one reply I got - please go back to UK CPM and use compliants@UKCPM instead of info@UKCPM because you sent it to the wrong email adress. And IPC closed my case. I went back to UK CPM at complaints@, received the same response, pay up. Reverted back to IPC who said they can’t get in legal disputes.

My experience is that it pretends to be impartial and independant but do not actually want to consider real reason. Dont waste your time. Study up and use websites like money saving expert where people will help you.

is this a scam?

Tried on various occasions to set up an account but there's always a pop up saying something wrong, then I have to wait 15 mins, it feels like it's been set up to annoy customers so that they give up, is this even legit? The whole thing feels like a scam

bit rubbish

so far this so called alliance of comapnies are allowing its members ( some if not all ) to charge people ignoring the ten min grace period,
there is a ten min grace period from when your car is photogrphed entering ( allowing you to park ) and this iscludes getting back into your vechile to leave )
so you pay an hour but actually have 1 hour ten min's all companies signed upto IPC should be adereing to this,,
they are not and IPC are doing nothing about it'
i suggest writing to your local MP
pressure must brought onto these cowboy companies
