Prioritising profit over customer loyalty
I bought a coat and realised it was too big straight away, but due to work travel I didn’t contact the company until 3 weeks later. They replied to my email and explained, very curtly, that because the item was reduced the return period was also reduced. This notice wasn’t on the email confirming the purchase, which just smacks of a desperate company that puts customers at the bottom of their priorities. I am stuck with a coat that’s too big and I’ll never buy from this company again. Buyer beware.

Unusually high customer service quality…
Unusually high customer service - I definitely recommend this store. I made a purchase from the US and was truly impressed by the attentiveness and help around sizing. I was hesitant to buy high quality clothing without trying on first. Thanks to Sandrine’s support, a sweater I had wanted for a long time arrived and fit beautifully.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Made a purchase of a Men’s Cotton Canvas French Work Jacket XXL for my husband. It was too tight, I emailed the company for an exchange for a larger size and posted back the jacket the next day. The new jacket arrived but still an unsuitable fit and on new invoice it stated that the original tag of the returned jacket had been cut off and reattached, which most certainly had not been done by us. I can only assume that they do not wish to accept returns on the exchanged item as they pay postage. I spoke with the shop who insisted the label with plastic tag had been removed on the returned jacket so I would not be able to return the replacement. My question was why on earth would I pay for 2 lots of postage (no free postage) and potentially a third postage cost to return? The woman I spoke to said people wear things and return -but I was exchanging a too small item in the first place.
Have now viewed response from this company but I can only stand by my review, I can only think that this item was sent without the plastic security tag as neither I nor my husband can even remember a tag and did not remove anything.

OK, with reservations
This company appears quite good in terms of returns, which is one of my key points with any business trading online. The goods did need to be returned as the quality and fit was not quite up to par, particularly for the price. I received my notification of refund quite quickly, having paid for a first class return but what almost put me off purchasing in the first place was the lengthy detail on the website about how the company would not honour a refund if certain conditions were not met. I realise that there are probably many instances of buyers being naughty about returns (wearing the purchase, not taking care with it) but as someone who has scrupulously only ever returned unworn, unused items, frequently packing them more carefully than the seller, I took exception to the long list of what was unacceptable. I buy a lot online and more so for obvious reasons in the past year, but this company has won the award for the most off-putting website! My decision to purchase in future will probably be on the basis of the goods for sale, but a close second will be my reluctance to risk a failed return.
May I suggest that someone reworks the website to make it more friendly to would-be purchasers? I’m sure this could be achieved without compromising the need to spell out the conditions.
