The Pension Planner were recommended by a friend and I have also found Amy and the team very friendly, attentive, patient and clear in their explanations of my situation, my options and their advice.

Lisa was absolutely great very knowledgeable and totally understood my needs. I left everything to her and she called when she was supposed to, sent me regular updates on my case and chased the money down, my pension holder dragged their heels. Very happy with the service

I was impressed with the service and advise given, which enabled me to make informed decisions. From the start I was kept informed and given regular updates on how things were moving forward, which in turn allowed me to make plans for the future.

The only reason for 4 star review rather than 5 star is my dislike of using the zoom / teams platform for meetings. I would much rather be able physically sit down with a person when discussing important information.

I reached out to The Pension Planner after checking their reviews and that they are FCA registered. I had pensions with two providers and with 6 working years left before retirement, I wanted the best advice on whether I should combine the two. I received advice and forward planning from Shane Keo and the team. This was in the form of several meetings and my options were clearly and simply explained. My pension pot has now been invested in a managed portfolio which will achieve the comfortable retirement I desire. The new portfolio offers way more flexibility when it comes to taking the pension, something I wasn't aware I didn't have with my existing products. I am very happy with the advice I received from The Pension Planner and would recommend them.

I approached The Pension Planner in an exceedingly negative state of mind. One of my pension providers was unresponsive, uninterested and inept, and with a Guaranteed Minimum Pension element involved was asking me to go out to the market to obtain quotes which no-one would give me. As I needed an independent financial advisor I initially contacted several local companies who either never replied or were unwilling to take on my queries. I was somewhat concerned about using an IFA at the other end of the country, but when I contacted The Pension Planner I was blown away by their prompt response to my enquiry, it was just a matter of minutes before their admin acknowledged my email. Once I had explained my circumstances I was put in touch with Shane Kao, for which I am wholeheartedly grateful: he is personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable.

Shane patiently talked me through my pensions, savings and assets and I can honestly say that without his expert help I would have screwed up and taken the wrong decision regarding my pension options. Both he and Chris Minter have been proactive in following up with all parties involved and have kept me in the loop.

I had a few pensions I needed amalgamate but as pensions are a minefield at the best of times I needed some professional advice. Shane Kao is extremely knowledgeable and gave me excellent advise and more importantly listened to what I wanted to achieve and there was no hard sell. Questions that I had during the process I just sent an email and had a response quickly with no chasing. I was kept up to date with regular emails from Chris Minter and the rest of the team.
