Really poor “service” and a waste of time, stress and money. Emails go unanswered and are responded to in a weekly summary report. Bailiffs visited once which was a “drive by” in a total of 6 weeks. Told a visit took place then when asking for a summary of this was told the agent never went as was unwell. Repeatedly chased due to urgency of matter to no avail. Part of debt settled with debtors legal representative so I effectively recovered the funds myself. Payment was made to bailiff service as payment of their fees was due. Bank details were confirmed then told they did not hold these on record for me and were writing me a cheque. Lady on the phone sorted this and payment made today. Basically acted as a fund holder for 14 days. Staff on the phone are polite and pleasant to deal with however every other aspect of this company was a complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend using.

My personal experience of The Sheriff's Office felt like an 8 month long battle against incompetence the likes of which I've literally never seen in a professional firm. They just seemed incapable of understanding basic points or getting anything right, wouldn't listen to me at all, seemed gullible in the extreme when being misled by associates of the debtor and communication was terrible.

As far as I'm aware the debtor in my case was never even spoken to in person, not once, despite me providing multiple contact routes and a home address which I've had since had verified 3 times.

I personally don't believe it's balanced to leave a bad review due to non-recovery of a debt as the fees are modest and not all debts are recoverable, but I really was genuinely shocked at how bad my experience of The Sheriff's Office was.

The Sheriffs Office did what I wasn't able to do on my own & they done it quite quickly aswell. I was very happy with the result.

After obtaining a CCJ against a none paying customer, we passed the debt onto the Sheriffs Office for escalation and collection. The process took a few weeks but they were able to collect the overdue debt plus costs and I was kept up to date all along the process. So I was happy with the outcome and would certainly use again if we're in that same situation.

Always a great service, keeping you advised at all times.

Efficiency

Do not use this scam company they collect your money plus their fees and don’t give you your money back. They have had our money for 6 weeks and have not sent it to us. Be warned do not use.

Bailiff illegally clamped my car, just because he saw me walk out of the property and I wouldn’t speak to him about another person.
Refused to accept ownership details and asked for paperwork I did not have to show.
Pressured me to hand over car and threatened me with a visit from the police.
Spoke to someone in the office and he was just as bad.
A bunch of liars, including the “high court writ” they claim to have. Do your research before you hand anything over to them!

This enforcement company is awful. I normally use one of their competitors but this time round I used them to test the waters. Not only has this enforcement company wasted my time this enforcement company has wasted my money as well. I have contacted this company a number of times using various contact methods including calling, emailing, and writing but the poor communication I have received is off putting. They cannot follow simple instructions for example visiting the debtor at another address and seizing assets to recover debt. I now intend to retrieve all of my High Court Enforcement instructions from this enforcement company and give it to one of their competitors. I have some high value County Court Judgements coming through and I will never ever use this enforcement company again. I am done with this enforcement company.

The govt. dept. dealing with 'Civil Claims' is neither easy to understand nor does it guarantee success. In fact they tell you that even if you initiate an enforcement order the defendant may still not pay. I would not have won my case without engaging the Sheriff's Office. I am indebted to them! They are professional and efficient.

Absolutely scammers. They never do their jobs properly. Just pretending. Keep sending invoices and not even go to debtor they saying they went next door to ask about debtor. Please don’t use them even for free. Absolutely rubbish
