Closed my file after the debtor refused to make contact with them via email or phone.
On the one visit they met him, believed his lies ...on universal credit, no assets blah, blah and left without any payment, goods agreement or proof of his circumstances... since then he has ignored their emails. ( this wouldnt have made great TV thats for sure )
If id known the debtor can get away with it that easily I would never have begun the process.... has just added additional stress and costs to the outstanding debt problem
Very disappointed in the whole court and sheriff system.

Thank you for your feedback. We did make numerous attendances on your case and did gain entry, but there were no goods of any value. When there are no goods available at the debtor’s premises (and we are not legally permitted to attend third party premises), we cannot satisfy the command of the writ and enforcement on this occasion has been unsuccessful.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Took my money and didn't actually enforce anything. 5 months later and still they haven't even spoke to the debtor. This company are frauds and can't collect a debt to save their lives.

I am sorry we have so far been unable to meet with the debtor, but this is not for want of trying, as we have made multiple attendances at different addresses. Your file is still active, so please do contact us on 0333 001 5100 to discuss your case further.

It might have taken 6 years

It might have taken 6 years, but The Sheriffs never gave up on my behalf and slowly got all my money back, plus a bit extra for interest!!
If anyone has done you wrong, I'd definitely recommend them to help you get what's owed.

Excellent recovery

The Sheriffs Office were incredibly professional from start to finish when recovering a debt. They sent me regular updates and recovered the debt when a previous sheriffs office were unable to. They were quick to issue me my cheque and I cannot thank them enough. Easy and pleasant experience from start to finish! Cannot recommend them enough.

Swift and true

Unlike the County Court bailiffs, the sheriff did not filibuster, prevaricate and make apologies for the judged party in the context of local, parochial loyalties but rather was swift to his execution in objectivity of target and truth of aim.

A bunch of cowboys - AVOID!!!!

A bunch of cowboys who are keen to grab your money. Honestly, avoid these monkeys at all cost. I wasted money with them, please avoid doing the same. I managed to locate the car, gain access to the underground car park and locate the debtors vehicle yet the agent couldn’t do this. How is it possible that I can do this and you do this work for a living? You clearly don’t give a damn as you already got my money. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

We are sorry that you are unhappy with this case. We have already given you a report on all the reasonable attempts we have made to enforce the writ, in accordance with the Taking Control of Goods regulations. These are regulations that cover what times we can enforce and how we are permitted to gain entry. In your case, there were no goods locatable that could be taken into control. The compliance fee you have paid us - £75 plus VAT - is a fee due under the Taking Control of Goods regulations, not an administrative charge by us.

Effective and painless

Although it took several weeks, all of the money I was owed was recovered with no further hassle to me. If you use the court system properly and can afford to invest the necessary sheriff’s fees, and you are sure the debtor has the ability to pay this is the best way to go.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased we were able to recover your money for you. The amount recovered would have included the repayment of the initial court fee you incurred for the writ, recovered from the debtor, who also paid the incurred enforcement fees.
