Good service and delivery

Excellent company, have bought sofa’s a couple of times for our Airbnb properties, they are good quality and price and Lee and his team are beyond helpful. I was told by my colleague that even the delivery guy was brilliant. Thank you

I'm so impressed with my purchase from The Sofa King. Speed of delivery was exceptional, big shout out to Lee who went out of his way to organise delivery even after he'd left the office.
Value for money is phenomenal with these too! The sofa is stylish in design with clean, minimal lines and contours. A great colour and the build quality far surpasses what you would expect at this price point.

Came across the website while looking for compact sofa's, decided on the matthew range.
Sofa's are so much better than i thought they would be ( as they were cheaper than most shops ) quick and fast delivery, very helpful delivery driver and they look lovely in my frontroom and are very comfortable.

This is probably my toughest review to do so far because I always try to be brutally honest and recount my full experience, warts and all. I only really give 5 stars to businesses that have exceeded all my expectations.

Anyway, Argos told us that their sofas had a safety issue and were being recalled. They wanted to come on Monday to collect them so we would have been left without anything to sit on in our lounge, and only had a few days to source a replacement.

We went to DFS and SCS and found them both lacking. My home is about 2 miles from those stores but they both wanted to charge us an eye-watering £99 for deliery, which really is taking the pee, so they can both get stuffed. Most of their products also have a twelve to fourteen week lead time.

Anyway, Sofa King used to be in Northampton (near our local DFS and SCS stores) but the old Sofa King shop site is currently being redeveloped. Checked online and they appeared to now just be a shop in Birmigham, which was too far for us to go, so we ordered online. They had loads of sofas showing on a tab which said next day delivery (not next working day delivery) so we ordered a 3 seater. It just said '3 seater Oslo PU' so there are no airs and graces here, and the photos just showed the sofa and nothing else, so it didn't look brilliant, but we wanted quick delivery.

We ordered on Saturday afternoon and we were contacted on the Monday from an 01827 number, so clearly not a Birmingham 0121 number. The gentleman was trying to make out that he was a transport manager and had 'vehicles going to London 3 or 4 days a week usually, but none this week'. It was fairly obvious to me that this is essentially someone operating a small business. He also used a private email address and not a Sofa King email address.

Their website mentions eBay but I have an enormous distrust of eBay and most of the people who sell on it. After having loads of bad eBay experiences I have decided only to use Argos and a few other big players on there, as eBay really couldn't care less about punters.

Anyway, I explained that time was of the essence (even though they were offering us free delivery) and we needed it ASAP, please, as Argos were coming to collect the faulty sofas that afternoon. So he gave it to Palletline. The Palletline tracking system showed the collection address as being 'hidden at customer request', which again would usually raise alarm bells in my head, and the debit to my card showed another company name, not Sofa King. Anyway, we received it on the Tuesday and it looked and felt like real leather and looked far better than the drab photo on their website looked. We were so pleased that we ordered a two seater to go with it, which they sent out with Tuffnells.

So I can't say that this company strikes me as a major player in the sofa business but they did exceed all my expectations (twice) so I feel that it is only fair to give them a five star rating. Sensible sofa prices with fast and efficient delivery. Recommended.

Found exactly the sofa we wanted was delivered efficiently with good contact with definitely use again as prices very good.

Despite courier problems Lee and his team deliver amazing personal service including calling if there are any problems delays etc. I have now purchased twice from them. Their sofas are so durable for the brilliant price. I have had one in one of them in my B&B room and despite lots of use still looks like new. I now have a second one in my conservatory. Thank you again.
