Stay clear! Did a wowcher redeem and wanted to cancel the same day, wowcher said I need to cancel with the company, It took 5 days for them to contact no email or call and when I told the guy on the phone we’d like to cancel he said there are no bad reviews just a small amount of unhappy customers which is not true and I need to contact wowcher for a refund, you just get passed from company to company! Currently in contact with the bank for the scam but have to wait 14 days!

I was trying to buy my ticket on the site, then Jonathan contacted me and made things easier. He selected the best option for me, not only the ticket price was affordable but also the departing and landing aeroport was the one I really wanted.
Thank you Jonathan.

Absolute scam I bought a holiday where I was promised at least 48 hours in country but the "flights" they offered were less than 24 hours in the country with a stop over. After looking online to find these flights I found they don't exist. After mentioning this to them they came up with an excuse and surprisingly found better flights they existed. I said I will take it but there was only 1 seat left. I would HAVE to pay more for flights. They offered either flight and hotel or car and hotel which was already in the package they I paid for. They are impossible to contact. Said manager will phone me nothing. After many calls and emails and messages they finally said they can't refund I would have to go through Wowcher which is another problem.

The travelmakers organisation when they got in touch was very professional and helpful, I cannot fault that side of the contact, Sonia was polite patient and very helpful.
I did have to make a few calls to the company myself, before the contact was made to me to sort out my travel arrangements.
Some sort of reassurance from the company that calls will be returned would put customers mind at ease.

Do not go with this company. Trying to get an answer from them is a nightmare. Airline changed my flighrs, i was not aware of it or updated with alternative choices. If flights are changes, the whole package must be changed. Beside loosing an extra night at the hotel, plus extra payments with seeing sights, plus taxi, plus airport parking. It was no updates from this travel agentcy company with the flights changes. Untill i decided to do online checking in and find out. They brushed everything to airline without taking any responsibilities for it.

I booked 2 vouchers which i redeemed for a Prague city break for myself and my husband via wowcher, which i have used before. The travel makers rang to look at flights and confirm the booking. Initially i was told that it would be an in direct flight with a stop at Amsterdam, then i was told that there was no availability left for the Hotel which was what had been advertised online. The total for the voucher for hotel and flights was 169pp plus a booking fee which totaled up to £345. After a long conversation yesterday nobody in management was available to speak to me about my concerns. They also wanted to charge me extra for the direct flights which were coming up as an extra 89 pound per person (so there was a direct flight available) at an extra cost which was not stated. This was supposed to be a present for Christmas for my husband but because of the stress i have encountered with it i had to speak to him about it so we could figure out what to do. I rang back this morning to see if there was anything else that could be done as yesterday i requested a refund but was told they can give me credit to redeem against something else but i did not want to do that, we specifically wanted to go to Prague as it is a city we haven't been to before. i requested a refund but was told to get in touch with wowcher, but no response from them, i phoned back to ask if there was any further options. There was an option of a hotel which was not the Hilton hotel which was the Grandior plus 2 others which were an option however kept pushing me towards this one, i felt like i had to go with this (what can you do if that is the only one they are saying they have available) then there would be a charge for Manchester flights which were direct. Anyway we have ended up paying an extra £202 on top of the 345 including the booking fee after all the stress encountered. he also said that transfers from the airport would be about 60 each way so he could sort this out for £50 round trip, and include breakfast for 4 days. The man on the phone stated that they were in fact loosing money to help me get this package. All in all i have paid £548 for an offer that they were advertising as 5* stay and hotel Hilton and Manchester flights for £338. Apparently there is no availability at the Hilton, when you go on there direct page there is. Also the flights that we have had are totaling to £122 for two of us there and back, the hotel with breakfast is £266 for four nights, and i have just priced the transfers up and it would have cost £64 for a round trip totaling to £452 (i would have still been out of pocket due to the voucher on wowcher they were advertising at £338) however they have charged me £548 and spoke to me like they were doing me a favour- so i am Nearly an extra £100 out of pocket again. i am extremely disheartened and feel like i have had my money taken away from me, to be fair i am that annoyed i'm not even looking that much forward to the trip now after all this.

This company is a scam. Happy to take my money but then could never honour my voucher for duration or destination. Phoned over 10 times promised a call back which i never got: in the end i was promised a refund via phone call which i recorded, never received the refind and now saying by text that they wont give me a refund. Will be taking them to court. Dont waste your time!

If I could give them 0 stars I would!
Terrible company - DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
Booked through wowcher and was told I would have to contact the company within 48 hours so I did, got offered different flights and hotels for more money which I declined and said I was happy with the original holiday.
COOPER BROWN (awful member of staff) told me that it would be booked and I would receive confirmation via email with in 4 hours.
A week later nothing! I called them back again and was informed I was only allowed to talk to cooper as he had been assigned my holiday, he told me that they couldn’t book anything until they had sorted out October holidays and I would get a call on the 1st of November…
I didn’t receive a call - I then called again
I asked why I hadn’t been emailed confirmation as my holiday was supposed to be in 2 weeks and I had nothing confirmed.
He then proceeded to read me out different flights not the ones agreed and I corrected him and said that this should have been booked.
We went through again and I was told that it was booked with the flight we had confirmed and I would get an email with in 24 hours and a personal call from him the next day confirming.
I am now with less than two weeks to my holiday again with no confirmation no phone call back.
I call them again ask to speak to cooper and he answers the phone and hangs up on me.
I call straight back and ask to speak to someone else at this point as nothing else is working.
Sonika (member of management from the company) informs me the holiday has been canceled and asked if I had done this.
Obviously so frustrated at this point I explain the whole situation and give her the flight times that I was told and confirmed again I never canceled this and have been told multiple times it had been booked but have never been sent any confirmation.
She then states that it’s not possible to book as it’s sold out now.
I check wowcher and I am still able to book the holiday through them so this was obviously another lie from this company.
I say this to her and she puts me on hold for 30 mins and when she returns to the call she says that I can book it for a higher price, I explain that this is all due to the staff and companies failure! She say that I will have to get the refund off of wowcher as there is nothing I can do.
I explain that I’m not happy and she again puts me on hold again.
She then states she would have been willing to book the holiday again however the wowcher has now expired and they can do nothing!
I asked when the voucher has expired she said the 11/11/25, I called confirming the holiday the day before for the 3rd time!
Honestly so awful and taking no responsibility, this was a gift for my partners birthday which has been completely ruined.
PLEASE check your wowcher booking and if it’s meant to be dealt with by this company DO NOT BUY OR GET A REFUND!

Awful company to book a holiday with.
I purchased a voucher to amsterdam for a 4 night stay. I was hesitant anyway but decided to go through with it and give the company a chance - i now very much regret doing this.
They will assign you an advisor who will give you a hotel name and flight times which once you ask to confirm these, you will not hear from this advisor again.
I tried to cancel this holiday due to the poor customer service in which i was told i could not do.
I then had to ring multiple times to speak to a new advisor who told me these flights and hotel were now booked up and i had to pay an extra £119 to secure my holiday - i did pay this as i believed this was my only option not to loose my money.
I rang over 10 times and sent over 10 emails to ask to speak to a manager to get some kind of compensation as i believed this was no my fault as i had done everything i had been asked to do.
All my emails were ignored and the calls i was told someone will ring me back to discuss this - unsurprisingly this didn’t happen.
I am now waiting for my phone calls to be reviewed after i was told by one advisor my refund was being processed and told by another i would not receive one - complete lack of communication.
Another issue i had was once i had someone to finally book my holiday i was told on email and over the phone the return flight would be 9:50pm and i had to pay extra £119 for this so i did. then an hour later i get a phone to say the flight home is actually 9:50am resulting in me loosing a whole day of my holiday but at this point i had already paid and had no other options.
I am now submitting a complaint through ATOL for many other reasons as well as this complaint.
Do not use this company - they just want your money.
don’t be fooled by them trying to look helpful in the replies it’s all an act - i emailed exactly how they asked and unsurprisingly they’ve ignored that as well as my other 8 complaint emails and many phone call🤣🤣🤣🤣 joke company

If I could give no stars I would.
It’s all a complete scam. Purchased a three night holiday to Prague but only once redeeming the vouchers was I told that the hotel advertised wasn’t available (the alternative was well outside the city centre) and to get decent flights I’d have to pay another £419. I asked for the options to be sent to me but nothing ever was. I was also told that if I’d change my dates or destination I could get decent flights for what I’d already paid - not what I had purchased or they had advertised.
Wowcher’s terms clearly state that if you have redeemed the vouchers but not booked anything then you are entitled to a full refund. I rang up the next day and asked for a refund, was told it would be referred to the refund department and I’d hear in 4 days. Over a week later I hadn’t heard so rang again, and was told a completely different story that the refund comes from Wowcher (it doesn’t, the merchant is responsible).
I have since emailed holidayservices@ thetravelmakers.co.uk and holidays@ the travel makers.co.uk three times about my refund and no-one has bothered to reply and I still don’t have my money back.
It’s a complete scam and the people you speak to on the phone will tell you any old lie just to get you off the phone and not give you your money back. It’s been three weeks since I bought the voucher and I have nothing to show for it and now they’re illegally keeping my money too.
Edit - I eventually received a refund after three and a half weeks of perseverance.
