I found claiming on this Warranty was hard work. You have to do it online. But, it gives you a list of their choice of 4 garages. So you tick the 1st garage within 24 hours they get back to you. The Garage said they couldn't fix the problem. So I did the next Garage, they couldn't do it. Each time its a day. I ended up phoning the next two garages which they couldn't do it either it needed to go to the dealership which was Ford. But. Ford is not one of this warranty's garages. Therefore, I ended up phoning, explaing. A lot of aggro to get the car to go there. Garage fantastic fixed it even cleaned it. Delivered it back no hassle. But I was out of pocket. Because it wasn't an approved garage from warranty company. They will only pay a certain amount. But nobody else could correct the fault on my car. I found it very frustrating. The RAC came out when it wouldnt start on my drive. They said you need a locksmith. Locksmith came out the next day. Cost me £80 but the warranty will only pay some of that. The locksmith said, its the car. Nothing wrong with the keys. Next day RAC come out. I exsplain where we were. After a good look RAC man says its the car. Needs to go to the garage. But. I cant take it so we will get a garage to pick it up. Next day garage turn up. He cant move the car as its automatic and it wont start so the hand brake wont move. We come again tomorrow. By 12 not there. So RAC send another garage out. Jackpot. This guy understood the problem, knew it needed a Gord garage. 10minutes off the drive hoing to get fixed. 6 days to get it to the garage to fix. No courtesy car as they won't issue one until they know how much it's going to cost to fix and how many days it will take to fix it.
Not impressed at all i cant remember the date so its about the date ive put in.

First time I have had to claim from RAC warranty. They were extremely helpful, dealt direct with garage and funded 75% of the repair bill. I paid the garage, claimed back from RAC and was paid in full in the week. I would recommend RAC warranties.

Stay away from RAC warranties at all cost.
The most unprofessional and unhelpful company that I have ever dealt with.
They wanted me to organise and pay for a dpf clean on my exhaust that they asked for, after land-rover told me that it should be replayed. They are just trying to do things on the cheap, and will try and wriggle out of paying claims. To date they still haven't sorted my claim, and only respond to emails. Can rarley get hold of them on the phone, and they have a habit of cutting you off even when you do. Absolutely disgraceful all round

This was my first claim, and on this occasion it was first class!
Problem swiftly identified, I paid pro-forma and the job was done. My money arrived back into my account quickly.
I wasn't too keen on paying for the diagnostic myself but that's life. I would have paid a lot more without my warranty.

First RAC approved garage didn't respond to my bookings request. Second garage which dealt with warranty issue had my car for 4 days. Drove around in it whilst in their possession with their child as they left their belongings in there. When I got into the car to drive off both front seats positions had drastically changed into "gangsta" positions, my radio was switched to media and at FULL blast. God knows where and I what they have done in my car. The volume control on my steering wheel has a deep scratch where the buttons would need to be replaced. I never mentioned anything with the garage as I was hoping for their support on my RAC dealer dispute as I was sold a car that had 3mm brake pads and no mention of on RAC safety checks or MOT. Have nothing good to write about RAC or dealer and my issue has just been bushed under the carpet.

My experience wasn’t good. After breaking down a week after I’d bought a car which had RAC warranty, the garage repair was covered apart from 1 hrs labour which I had to pay £98
I was covered for onward travel but they would not reimburse me as the repair time was under the qualifying hours! The part had to be ordered in so was I supposed to stay at the garage the night?!!
They tried to wiggle out of every cost. I am £148 out of pocket and to top it all the dozy customer service girl was laughing to her colleagues at the end of the call when she thought I’d hung up.
Would never recommend this company.

The clutch slave cylinder failed and leaked fluid over the clutch requiring a new clutch, the garage recommended a replacement dual mass flywheel as well but the company refused to pay for a replacement. I covered the cost of this myself.

Hassle, free warranty, five star service from the garage what more could you want 👏👏👏

My experience was good. The customer service representatives were helpful and my repair was covered under warranty. The only thing that could have made me give 5 stars would have been if the diagnostic charge would have been covered which i paid out of my own pocket. Nevertheless, i still saved a lot of money for the repair. Thank you.

My overall experience was positive. I have a few suggestions to make the claims quicker. 1 Make sure you have the receipt for your item. PYB will insist on it.
and in reality, your claim will take longer than advised as PYB do not rush to pay and all events take the maximum time to resolve.
To PYB: ask for POP when the Client sets up the plan ,as over time receipts get misplaced.

Great easy enough to claim - I paid garage and was reimbursed. A coil spring apparently not covered by most warranties

Contacted RAC regards front camera sensor not working. Put car into Evans Halshaw as agreed by them They told Halshaw that the issue was covered under the warranty. They went ahead and did the repair then when they contacted RAC they renegaded refusing to pay most of the costs. I had to foot the bill they're contribution was around £37 I had to pay £181.48
The policy is not worth the paper it’s written on. £495 3 month policy. Utter rubbish. They are con men. It would have been better to keep my money and decline the extended 3 month policy when I purchased the car. Never again. U learn the hard way

I took out an extended warranty on a campervan as peace of mind for any issues. I have had two separate engine management light issues for which the RAC Warranty provided cover. This was dealt with on my behalf by one of their recommended garages in Glasgow. The cover has been brilliant to date.
