So far I'm really happy with the T480 laptop, no issues at all. I ordered from Mike because I trusted him to refirbish more than big refurbishers where you can receive somethint that doesn't last. Mike replied quickly when I followed a wrong tracking link, delivery was a couple of days, and if the laptop holds up I'll definitely be ordering from his business again. It's special that there is somebody focusing purely on refurbishing Thinkpads in Yorkshire.

I started looking for an inexpensive Windows laptop and found Thinkpadmike on eBay. Fast shipping, good packaging and a great product for the price.

Competitively priced, but clearly some care has been taken to check over, refurbish and prepare the laptop. It arrived well-packaged and works as expected. It's been a couple of weeks and the laptop works properly. I would definitely buy another in future.

I purchased a Thinkpad T480 several months ago from this vendor. Initially it was fine, After a month or so the USB C power connection became a little tempermental and ocassionally needed to be moved slightly to charge. However, after several months it deteriorated, although I was super careful not to strain it in any way, and it has now failed totally. The Thunderbolt connection doesn't work either. The laptop was guaranteed for one month only. I have found that the T480 power slot is soldered to the board so replacing it is very difficult and expensive. I did send a message to Thinkpad Mike asking if he could do a repair but had no reply.

Yes, that is correct: I ordered the laptop at the end of November. It lasted about six months.

No issues here. Laptop is barely distinguishable from new in appearance. The videos allow you to view the exact item you are buying in detail and is just one of the things that set him apart from the usual Ebay sellers.
It is obvious he puts a lot of effort into each unit before sale.
Recommended.

Laptop is in pretty decent condition, exactly as described in the listing. Great spec for the price. You can tell Mike knows what he is doing and wants to provide good value and a decent service. I have not seen any refurb sellers that include upgraded storage (and possibly ram too) as standard. Not only that, it turned out he lived 5 minutes away from me and offered to deliver it himself a few hours after I ordered. Same day delivery! What a legend. Cheers Mike, all the best :)

I was after a P53 in very good condition, and Mike had the tidiest looking one I could find. It arrived quickly, and was in exactly the condition his ad described. Having used it for a week now, and getting it set up with a Thunderbolt 3 dock (40AN model) it's just what I was after.
If anyone else is looking to do the same, I've found you don't have to have the expensive 230W 40AN dock kit with the double cable to use a P53. You can plug a 170W power supply directly into the P53 with the Thunderbolt 3 cable, and run the 40AN dock from a 65W power supply (only). This also enables you to use a longer Thunderbolt 3 cable (mine is 1.2m). I 3d printed a housing to join the 170W power supply connector and Thunderbolt 3 connector together, a bit like the expensive (and short) double cable you're supposed to use. The 170W power supply socket on the dock must just be a pass through to the double cable.

The laptop I ordered was as described in the listing. The delivery was speedy and really well protected with bubble wrap and packing foam.
