Overpriced, no service, garbage equipment

This company is overcharging for crappy equipment and I've been trying to cancel my service but haven't been able to. Every time I call when I get a chance to call that department is supposedly closed. I had my credit card changed and all of a sudden they can start calling and harassing me and sending me threatening emails about sending my account to collections and I would have to pay to have my service restored. I don't want my service restored. I'll be calling one last time if I am unable to get it cancelled I will be contacting the BBB and formal complaint. From my experience there response time is weak, theyre lacking compassion towards their customers, and overall an overpriced service for crappy cheap plastic equipment with no real siren when the alarm goes off. You'd be better off just buying your own equipment and having it self monitored

Ive had this system for quite a while…

Ive had this system for quite a while now. I found it extremely easy to set up. The guidance I received was very helpful and patient. I had one false alarm and the response time was incredible. The app works great and is easy to use. I do love that it is wireless, my only issue the key pad at times doesn't work sometimes. Ive change the batteries and it seems good again. Some radio frequencies interrupt the function of disarming or arming.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever
1. Equipment is too cheap and the sensor doesn’t work properly and way too expensive. Returned a defected one back to them and paid shipping for the return and the sending of a new one.
2. To add any extra equipment it is too expensive to do so.
3. They don’t care if the system is working properly or not as long as they take your monthly payment for no service.
4. For more than a month now I am waiting for he police note I have to submit to the police and they didn’t send it, I called several times and nothing. Of course I am being charged for the non service month.
I will never ever recommend this company. Find a better company than this one, any other company is better than this one

I installed the Think alarm system a…

I installed the Think alarm system a couple of years ago after I renovated my home.No problems till now. What appealed to me was the wifi wireless aspect of the system. I didn't want to run coax or Poe wiring around the house. I decided just recently that I would like to install some security cameras. I called Think and they got back to me saying they don't sell any wireless cameras anymore because of complaints that the battery would not last long in extreme cold. They have switched to wired cameras only.These cameras have no storage so you must buy their cloud services for storage. Bait and switch as the website only shows wireless models. System may end up in the trash as I look to the suppliers. If Think had a email address on their website I may have been more inclined to discuss over email.

As you mention, the website shows only wireless models as all the cameras operate on WiFi but require plug-in power to operate. Servicing across North America we did find that battery-operated cameras do not sit well in our Canadian winters. Through different customer surveys and verified responses, we also found that local-only storage was a concern to people if the cameras were stolen so we decided to move to cloud storage for security and reliability.

Simple and easy to install

Simple and easy to install. Never had any issues with. Batteries last for more than 2/3 years. On top of that no contract...the app works perfectly.

I reviewed all available alarm systems in Canada. By far it is the best option for someone who don't want to be locked with a contract from the sharks.

Horrible and unreliable

This company is by far the most unreliable and unprofessional alarm company that I have ever dealt with. There alarm response time is ridiculous and their customer service even more so. It took them over 2 hours to respond to an alarm at our facility. If you are looking for an alarm company you can trust, think protection is not it. I can never recommend this company!

Had a few system issues

Had a few system issues (which takes sometime to resolve, I dont have alot of free time to resolve it in one call), the equipments and contacts were faulty, had to restart the video alarm often. I find the quality of the hardware not that great.

However, I find their response time very fast, particularly had the great assistance by their customer service rep Aron, he is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with my query.

It makes a difference dealing with a company rep who shows passion and care for their clients.

Recommend to Everyone

Great product, Exceptional service and a Price you can’t beat!!! Had the System in my home for over year now and no issues. Worked great with the existing Z-wave products I already had as well. Strongly recommend to anyone looking at protecting their home.

Super company

Easy user friendly system. App is sort simple to use. Friendly customer service. Walk you thru the setup process and are there for support should any issues chime up (like replacing a dead battery!) Been with them from the start and I'm as happy today as the first day!

Buyer Beware: False Advertisement - 30 day money back guarantee is a scam

Had a change of mind so I returned the security system without even opening the packaging. Not only did I have to pay the shipping fee to return the item ($20) but also and had to pay a re-stocking fee of $24.99.

The Sales Manager never once mentioned that a restocking fee would be charged. He reassured me via phone and email of Think Pro's 30-day money back guarantee but it's totally a scam.

Very disappointed in the customer service. Buyers should be aware that this company has hidden clauses and false advertisement.

We had an alarm go off

We had an alarm go off, we were not contacted and the police were not dispatched. I asked why and was told that there needs to be three alarms before the police are called.
We recently moved and took our alarm system with us. I did not have time to deal with beeping alarm so I took the battery out of the system to disable it. That was 6 weeks ago, know one from Think Protection has called to ask why my system is not working and is no longer sending a signal. I am switching alarm companies next week

Awesome system expensive

Awesome system I set it when we are in for the night and eveything is covered. I work in Law Enforcement so security is high priority. The call centre is awesome to deal with.
Only had 1 issue malfunctioning keypad I call they sent me a new one next day then they to make sure it was up and running Gold Seal highly recommend

Overall a great deal.

I had never heard of this company before but I decided to give them a try after reading some reviews online. I am glad I did. I installed the equipment myself with a tech telling me what to do every step of the way. The tech explained to me how to use everything and how it all works. I have been using the system for two weeks now and no hiccups plus I am not spending a fortune on monitoring. I am happy with Think Protection.

Review & Suggestions

Review & Suggestions: We installed our Think Protection alarm system on May 17, 2019. The agent was very helpful in assisting us through the process of setting it up, as well as testing it. Suggestions which could improve the service are: The sales representative could specify all the requirements necessary for the system to be fully operational, specifically that you have to purchase a router from a store of your choice, if needed, or the company's cellular back-up card. This would eliminate having to wait for the cellular back-up card for several days, if that would be what the customer chose. The technician who helps with the installation could also mention that if you don't have pets, the jumper can be removed from the motion sensors for optimal sensitivity. The tech could also mention that when the Night Setting is armed, the door or window sensors would be activated instantly if a door or window would be opened. We appreciate having an advanced alarm system at an affordable price and one that was easy to install. In addition, we like the fact that it is also portable, in order that you can take it with you should you move to another location in North America.
