WE WASTED $2,100 ON THIS SCAM OUTFIT

This company asked us for a $2,100 payment in advance, in July 2024, to negotiate with the IRS on our behalf. As of this date (December 1, 2025) they haven't even managed to provide a transcript showing how much we owe and for what. IRS has resumed collection activity. TNUSA stalled and played us along for a year and a half; they're no longer even responding to our emails. It appears that this company is a scam.

Be smart

Ok , my wife has issue with IRS because they have failed to return our emails, phone calls and faxes in the last 6 months. The shutdown isn’t the reason as government is inefficient.. We have legal court documents stating we are not responsible for the tax year in question so Tax Network USA said it was a no brainer and asked us for 3000 dollars to take care of but they never did. As with the IRS our emails , phone calls have for most part been ignored. Also we have requested an itemized bill since we would like refund on balance or full amount. Anyway , please take time to review the others out there who reviewed much better.

Tax Network USA (I Recommend )

Tax Network USA pushed my filings from 2021 to 2024 with a level of force and accuracy most companies only pretend to have, and they did it with zero hesitation from start to finish. Ava Jones cut through every snag, delay, and complication with the sharp focus of someone who treats obstacles like weak opponents. Christopher Kincaid locked the whole process into a disciplined structure that stayed solid even when deadlines closed in and tried to break the pace. Jesse Gaona took what should have been a chaotic mess and turned it into a clean, controlled system that moved with purpose instead of panic. Working with this crew felt less like dealing with a help desk and more like teaming up with operators who refuse to miss targets or tolerate sloppy work. They turned a draining chore into steady momentum that felt strong instead of miserable. Every question I brought to them was met with direct answers, not guesswork. Every trace of uncertainty was crushed before it could spread. My time was treated with respect at every step. Every document sat in the hands of people who never cracked under pressure. They earned my trust through consistent execution that never slipped, and I recommend them with the confidence of someone who watched them deliver results that speak for themselves.

Tax Network USA is a terrible company.

Tax Network USA handed my case, specifically my sensitive tax information, to a subcontractor without my prior knowledge and informed consent. This action may violate federal law, and certainly violated professional standard and the service agreement signed after initial consult, a blatant breach of contract.
They were negligent, incompetent, or both as service agreement was signed on February 20,2025, they had all of my documents by March 13, 2025 confirmed by case manager, did nothing for almost 7 months, failed to file for a tax extension for my 2024 returns, and finally completed work on October 9, 2025 after they handed my case to the unauthorized subcontractor. This has resulted in thousands of dollars in penalties and interest as the 2024 returns were filed well past the April 15th deadline.
They have refused to answer any of my valid questions regarding these very serious concerns. This company has caused massive financial harm, and recklessly exposed my personal information without authorization.
Be very aware, read all reviews, do not fall prey to their false advertising as I did. I was lured into contacting them through their advertising campaign, they are a Tax Resolution Company, all communication by phone beginning with the initial consult, welcome letter, all phone appointments leading up to the final communication from them on 3/13/25 were tax resolution/settlement and relief based, I have all documentation and they have the recorded phone calls. I had to sign a POA for them to negotiate with the IRS on my behalf. I was told verbally, in all correspondence, and explicitly in the service agreement to have NO contact with the IRS myself, if I did that would be a breach of contract on my part. I was told to be patient, no news is good news. Thus as the 7 months went by I was misled into the belief that TNUSA was actively working my case, directly with the IRS. On October 10th, after emails and phone calls precipitated by me, I became fully aware of the egregious, possibly unlawful, and completely negligent manner my case was handled. I attempted for several weeks to give TNUSA the opportunity to discuss my concerns and reach a satisfactory agreement that addressed what had occurred with my case. I was treated with disrespect, rudeness, and TNUSA was unable to answer my valid questions. Thus I have had no recourse except to write reviews such as this one to warn the public about the company, I have filed formal complaints with the BBB, the Attorney General of California, the IRS, I will file an ethics complaint with the AICPA and will pursue civil litigation.
Update: They are not a member of the AICPA so I will file formal complaint with the California Board of Accountancy.
***Response to reply by Tax Network USA***
I will address each lie specifically.
1) My tax returns were prepared by a 3rd Party/Subcontractor. Never was any other entity besides TNUSA having access to my personal, private information discussed, verbally or in writing.
The service contract was "entered by and between Chantal Combs "client" and Tax Network USA "TNUSA", collectively referred to as the Parties". The section of the Service Agreement states as follows: "TNUSA will disclose the names of third-party contractors and obtain the informed consent of the client prior to subcontracting any professionals". If you have evidence that I was notified and gave my consent prior to the tranfer of my most sensitive and private information to any other company, produce it. If you have evidence that this issue was explained to me in detail during our correspondence, produce it. Now or in a court of law.
2) I was NEVER given notice of an extension being filed on my behalf. If it exists, produce it. I have attempted multiple times by email and phone to obtain answers to the very serious questions included in my complaint with NO response from TNUSA. The last communication from them was an extremely rude email and very brief phone call with the director of the QA department on 10/15/25. He could answer none of my questions, then hung up on me. I actually called this evening after seeing the lies in the response and the support person, upon reaching out to QA, hung up on me.
3) Your team completed none of the promised work. I have a multitude of written communications that involves many services explicitly detailed in bullet points and never delivered. Letters were signed "your resolution team". Call recordings that will be produced in a court of law will also be evidence of services discussed and promised. "Tax Prep only" taking TNUSA 7 months to complete is not a winning argument for you. Buyers beware.

As outlined in the service agreement that you reviewed and signed, the scope of services provided was tax preparation only. Our team completed all work as agreed upon and communicated this clearly throughout the process. Tax resolution or IRS negotiation services were not included in your engagement.

Your tax returns were prepared by Tax Network USA, not by an outside company. The name and address you referenced on your tax returns are those of our licensed tax preparation software, not a third-party service provider. This was explained to you in detail during our correspondence.

Additionally, an extension was properly filed on your behalf, and we provided you with proof of that filing.

We understand that tax matters can be stressful, and our goal is always to provide clear, accurate, and professional service within the terms of our engagement.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

In October 2024, I contacted TNUSA after seeing several ads. I wanted assistance with a substantial IRS debt (2023 taxes). The first person we spoke to was nice; it sounded like they could help us. We paid the deposit and we’re assigned a case manager. It was difficult linking up due to the time difference but eventually we spoke and completed their packet. Just short time later, we decided to cancel their service and requested a refund. Even if it were partial. Within the contract, in the Terms & Conditions, there is a provision regarding cancellation of their services and refunds on a case by case basis. Later, after some back and forth, I posted about my dissatisfaction on social media. Quickly after, I received a DM from them advising me of their Non-Disparagement clause. I removed the post and was put in contact with a manager…N*** R***. He was very friendly and understanding of my situation. He committed to contacting me in mid-Jan after my personal circumstances had settled. He never called. I replied to their DM again. Months later they responded saying to contact N***. In the meantime, I had spinal cord surgery and had to move out of state. I reached out to N*** today. I’ve never been spoken to by any company the way he spoke to me. He was increasingly condescending and berated me for ultimately contacting the IRS myself and letting so much time pass. He repeatedly interrupted me. Regardless of the circumstances, NO ONE should be spoken to like that. I was going to take it on the chin as a stupid mistake but my husband is a federal employee, I’m disabled so we have no income right now. I was hoping to appeal to him on a human level but he was not interested in the slightest. TP USA didn’t do anything for us and they certainly don’t need my $1500. Technically, I wasn’t eligible for a refund but I’m leaving this review to share my personal experience.

RESPONSE TO REPLY:
I was very clear in my review that my initial interactions with every person at TNUSA was pleasant. I openly admitted that a long time had passed since my last conversation. You’re incorrect in your statement regarding my 1st conversation with your director. HE stated that HE would contact me in mid-Jan. Nevertheless, I waited till March to reach out via social media with regard to not hearing back. Months later the response was to call your director. I also indicated that more time had passed before I made the call. I did not misrepresent anything. I was very clear about my role in waiting so long. At no point in my review did I use your directors name. Finally, I hope that conversation was recorded. He was extremely rude, condescending, berated me for having the audacity to call, having responded to the IRS directly and continuously interrupted me. When I asked him to let me finish, his response was “you’re on my time”. He has no right to speak to me or anyone else that way and YES I used profanity and ended the call. His disrespect was uncalled for and I had had enough. There was no reason to continue the conversation at that point. My review is accurate and does not name anyone. I hope that you take it seriously and listen to the call yourself so you hear how he spoke to me. People should know how they’ll be treated when things don’t work out. Regardless of my failings, as I said to him, I’m a human being who is simply asking for help. If you want to deny that help, you can do that in a way that isn’t disrespectful.

We find it deeply concerning when individuals attempt to publicly defame our company by fabricating or distorting the facts of their case. Every interaction we have with clients is documented through detailed records, time-stamped correspondence, and recorded calls—all of which clearly prove that your statements are false and misleading.

For the record, our Director personally spoke with you in December of last year. During that conversation, you explicitly agreed to pause your case until you were ready to proceed and stated that you would contact us when that time came. Nearly a year later, you have chosen to post an extremely hostile and inaccurate review, filled with false accusations against both our company and our staff—individuals who have consistently acted with patience and professionalism toward you, even under difficult circumstances.

Furthermore, your behavior during your most recent interaction with our Director—where you used profanity and abruptly terminated the call—was entirely inappropriate. We possess the recording of that conversation and will not hesitate to produce it to demonstrate the truth of what transpired.

Defamation and false public statements are taken very seriously, and we will continue to protect our reputation and our employees against any such misconduct.

PLEASE DO NOT USE TAX NETWORK USA!!

First of all, I have emails and documents to ensure what I am saying is exactly as it happened. So anyone who has questions i will gladly show. I contacted TAX NETWORK USA on 7/11/2024 about my tax issues I have had. Do too a divorce that ended up being an issue, there were years that the IRS was questioning. Even though you could see my taxes i had sent in on the IRS website, they claimed they did not receive them. I made the mistake of waiting instead of talking to the IRS immediately. I told Tax Network about this and they said they could use that to negotiate with but instead they did nothing. In return I got a letter from the IRS. I contacted Tax Network USA on 7/11/2024 to get 2021/2022/2023 completely settled with the IRS. I paid 1500 dollars that day to have them start. So I waited. I waited until February of 2025 to reach out to them to see what was happening. (I had literally not heard from them since i paid them) They did respond within a few days. They send me a questionnaire of what I need to send. I return the documents and am told thank you for my fast delivery of the docs. I start getting letters from the IRS telling me I need to get this done immediately. I contact tax network and they tell me they will contact their legal team to take care of it. I eventually get a letter saying I will have my wages garnished if I don't pay by a certain time. (The entire reason I contacted Tax Network was to avoid this exact thing!) I contact them again and again im told they will contact their legal team. I keep being told they are taking care of the issue but eventually I start having 15% taken out of my check every two weeks. Which was supposed to be the whole reason I contacted tax network to begin with. Finally, Im given a contract by the IRS stating for me to pay off what I owe. Which was 200 a month for 76 months. I return the documents and get it done. Okay cool. And yet,Still, the IRS is garnishing my wages. Then im told I need to send in all sorts of additional information for them to stop. Eventually, August 15th the IRS stopped taking my check and I just paid my 200 a month bill. I asked why they did not negotiate a lower settlement amd I was told after the settlement of the 200 a month they would work on lowering the final amount that i owed of 11k with interest turned to 15k. ( I was told that it would be easier to negotiate with the IRS once i started making my initial payments on what i owed). They did none of that. Ive had zero contact at all. Now, October I get a letter stating I owe for 2021 or ill have my wages garnished again (which should have been a part of the 15k I am paying back for 76 months) amd I contact Tax Network about my issue on 10/6/2025. No response. 10 days later (10/16/2025) I send another message. No response. 1 day later 10/17/2025. No response. This company has stolen 1500 dollars from me. They did not negotiate what I owed to the IRS. All they did was send what I had already sent and gave me a copy of what I owe with a 200 a month payment with a crazy interest rate. I owed 11k and am paying over 15k. I cant even get a response back from these people. This has truly been an absolute awful experience and if anyone disputes a single thing I have said, I have saved every single text and email. I have copies of every single thing ive sent to them. So please, try to say I am lying. I have mentioned every single experience from start to finish how it has gone besides mentioning the 3 individuals names i was in touch with during this process. Which i will not. . Do not use this company. I wish I could have my money back and deal with this myself.

After a full review of your case, we want to clarify several inaccuracies in your statement.

You hired us specifically to (1) resubmit your tax returns to the IRS, and (2) restore your Installment Agreement. As you stated, you had already prepared the returns yourself. Our role was not to prepare them, but to assist in ensuring they were properly submitted, as the IRS had no record of receiving those filings from you. We worked with you over multiple months to obtain correct, signed copies and successfully resubmitted them on your behalf.

Our team remained in continuous communication with you through calls, emails, texts, and document updates. We received and processed more than 100 pages of documents that you provided, and we kept you updated at every step.

The IRS confirmed your wage garnishment occurred because your missing returns were never processed. Once we submitted the returns for you and they were accepted, the garnishment stopped on the exact date the IRS informed us it would—August 15, when your payment plan began.

Your Installment Agreement was successfully approved for the exact amount you requested and the lowest payment legally allowed based on your financials. You signed the Form 433-D and confirmed in writing that you preferred manual payments. We then mailed your closing letter and closed your case as fully resolved.

The notice mentioned in your review was issued months after your case was closed. During your resolution, we clearly informed you that when making your manual monthly payment, you must apply it to the oldest tax year to remain in compliance with IRS requirements. This new notice relates to activity after your case was completed and is not connected to the services you hired us for.

We also find it disheartening that you chose to post a negative review long after we completed all work on your case, especially considering that during your case closure procedure, you expressed satisfaction with the resolution and raised no concerns similar to those in your review. It appears that only after receiving a new IRS notice unrelated to our completed services did you turn to public platforms with claims that do not reflect the actual work performed or the documentation in your case file.

Using this company gives me peace, knowing that the details are scrutinized by a safe “pair of hands”.

Philip Parker kept close touch with me during the process, knowing I’d had to have an eye surgery and couldn’t do as much close work as I needed to. He answered my questions and made sure everything stayed on time and in the loop.

Everyone at TNUSA has been fun and competent.

Certified Financial Planner Learns from TNUSA

With a background in finance, I thought I could straighten out our tax problems. I struggled for years to "fix" my tax burden. TAX NETWORK USA has educated me on little known standard practices of the IRS as related to our case. As we move forward, their inside knowledge will serve me well.
Thank you Kat and the members of your team for helping us move on.

STAY away they take ADVANTAGE of seniors

I called TNUSA on Jan/Feb after getting an IRS audit notice for 2022 tax year. I was recovering from a concussion and could not wrap my head on what I did wrong. I have been doing my own taxes for over 40 +years. I called this company, explained my situation. I did not understand the audit notice which was ranging from $6,300-$19,000. I could not read the notice. I explained I was 70 and wanted to retire but had to take care of this audit. Representative said no worries. We have your back, and I gave the $3,500 fee right then. I was assured the penalty fees would be frozen and my bank accounts would be protected while their team worked in my audit. I wanted to know what I did wrong and fix I miss any deductibles. I then sent all the requested paperwork. I heard nothing from anyone until June. They wanted to set up a conference call. Excellent, my issue would be resolved. Meanwhile I received Docusign for my 2024 taxes. Done. Then I joined the conference call thinking this call was about 2022. No, it was to talk about my 2024 taxes. I replied they were done and paid for. Case manager said oh good now we can move to 2022 taxes. I was frustrated but OK. I get a new case manager who asked me to send approximately 100 more pages of documentation for my 2025 financials. I called and asked WHY? 2025 has nothing to do with 2022. Lots of bs I and forth - they said I needed to send all that documentation to get a payment plan. I did not ask for a payment plan. Completely frustrated- I asked to terminate the contract and was told there was a $1,500 fee for early termination. I said that was ridiculous, there was no proof they had even started my 2022 taxes. After more back and forth and a long email with step by step poor communication and pointing out lies on their website I finally could not deal with this company any more and agree to a $1,150 refund. They charged $350 for 2024 taxes even though that was supposed to be free and the other $2,000 was for early termination and work they already did which I never saw proof of work. I usually don’t write reviews but I strongly feel this group takes advantage of seniors and has devious recruitment ways. Their website says they take cases >$10,000 and you can pay ax you go. My case I figured out and my bill was $6,300 and I was never offered a pay as you go. When my paperwork got to the tax accountants they should have flagged my account as not qualified for their business plan and contacted me. NO- they just took my money. I would never recommend this company- they have very poor communication, poor follow up and take advantage of seniors. STAY local and AVOID this company.

Ardis, we appreciate your feedback, but several statements in your review are not accurate and need clarification.

Our records show that our team completed multiple services on your case, including preparing and successfully filing your tax return, conducting IRS compliance work, retrieving all transcripts, reviewing your IRS notices, and providing detailed explanations and next steps. We also maintained consistent communication through scheduled calls, emails, and multiple follow-up attempts documented throughout your file.

The request for updated financial information was not “unrelated paperwork”—it is an IRS requirement for any type of resolution. When you expressed that the forms were overwhelming, we immediately adjusted your case strategy to an option that did not require additional documentation.

Regarding your refund, although significant work had been completed, we still approved a partial refund as a courtesy. This refund was processed promptly after the termination agreement was signed.

After your review was posted, our team attempted to reach you to address your concerns directly. You asked us not to contact you, and we respected that request and sent written confirmation of case closure.

We do not take advantage of seniors or any group of clients, and we stand by the documented work performed on your behalf. We remain available if you would like copies of your case records or wish to discuss this matter further.

My CPA quit - I found peace of mind with TNUSA.

After decades of working with the same CPA to file my personal and small business tax returns, he simply quit. Not only did he quit, he lied saying he was going to file them, but he didn’t. He declined my calls and was not in his office when I tried to see him. I never found out why. This went on for two years. I was busy with my work, felt overwhelmed and was in a quandary about what to do in this situation. Simply find someone else to do my taxes, right? But who could I trust? It's been years I've felt secure with my CPA. Then I saw a Newsmax ad where a reputable spokesperson recommended Tax Network USA for tax troubles--the government was not going to forgive. When I called TNUSA, I nervously explained the mess I was in. With visions of jail time, I found nonjudgmental assurance by the agent that jail wasn’t going to happen. He assigned my case to Melody and we got started. With clear instructions and a compassionate tone, she sent me the proper forms to complete. It took some time since I waited embarrassingly long to address the situation. I was terrified of the IRS but buried my head in the sand. TNUSA was a genuine answer to prayer and the work is done. The relief I feel to be caught up is worth every dime I paid. I discovered I can trust these people, and I believe you can too.

Breach of Contract

In 2023, I contacted Tax Network USA to secure representation for resolving both my federal IRS and New York State (NYS) tax debts. Your advertising emphasized expertise in tax resolution, including programs like Offers in Compromise, payment plans. I am spreading awareness so other people won’t experience the same bad fate

Based on my experience, I believe the company failed to deliver on the following agreed-upon services: Failure to Pursue Federal Tax Relief Options. I was advised to "just pay off" my federal debt. No analysis or pursuit of IRS programs such as penalty abatement or hardship options was provided, even though I communicated my financial distress. And on July 2025I spoke to tax network USA Your team stated that your company did not wish to assist with a free IRS program (like penalty abatement) because you do not charge for such services which is a free program and most of the time, no paperwork is required . This was a primary reason I sought professional help in July 2023.
Failure to File a Valid Power of Attorney (POA) with New York State. In an email dated August 2023, your company stated, "We are fully and legally representing you“
Despite this assurance, a NYS tax agent visited my apartment in September 2023 and informed me that no Power of Attorney from Tax Network USA was on file, meaning the state did not recognize your firm as my representative.
I have since confirmed with the NYS Tax Department that no POA was ever successfully filed on my behalf in 2023.
Fact:A letter from NYS to Tax Network USA, dated May 16, 2025, was returned to them marked "incomplete." I was not notified of this rejection, and the issue was not corrected in a timely manner. That’s what I was told by the NYstate tax department .Misrepresentation of Communication and Status:. When I recently inquired about the lack of a POA this year, a representative asserted that NYS had mailed a POA confirmation letter to my address in 2023.
I have never received such a letter from NYS department . This claim is inconsistent with the confirmation I received directly from the NYS Tax Department that no POA was filed as completed at that time. And the state said no such PoA confirmation letter was mailed to my address.
Failure to Provide Agreed Services and Refund Request:
I paid $1,060 for comprehensive tax representation.
Fact: This action was taken despite my proactive efforts to address my financial hardship and establish a sustainable payment plan.I contacted your agency to explain that I could no longer afford my current monthly payment of $530. I expressed a sincere desire to work with you to find a feasible solution, including a revised plan with a lower monthly amount. Unfortunately, the representative informed me that my case would only be reviewed after I made a full payment of $530—a sum I explicitly stated I did not have due to my financial constraints.Since I was unable to make this unaffordable payment, my case was suspended. This decision effectively punishes me for my honesty and willingness to cooperate, creating an impossible catch-22. A reasonable accommodation was never offered.
Fact: As a result of the failures listed above—no federal assistance, no valid POA filed with NYS leading to a direct visit from a state agent, and no resolution achieved—I believe I did not receive the services I paid for. Given this documented sequence of events, I must conclude that Tax Network USA breached our contract. I am therefore requesting a full refund of my $1,060 fee. I trust this outlines the situation clearly. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation, including the August 2023 email, details of the NYS agent's visit, and correspondence from the tax departments. I look forward to your resolution .

TNUSA deceptive advertising

I contacted TN USA to help me with a tax situation, at the time it sounded like an all-inclusive deal to comply with all tax requirements and help with reducing the tax burden. That did not happen I was led on for a number of months until I was finally told that I was not contracted to work on the tax reduction.
To me this was a disingenuous company. They told me that I needed to sign power of attorney documents which the IRS never received.
I expected much more based upon the initial consultation with the TN USA representatives, no one told me that this was a portioned contract, there were no exclusions, during the conversations everyone said yes we work on that, yes we work on that too.
They had no useful website at the time, basic email doccumentents that has not changed.
I got the minimum, then the brush off.
Let the buyer beware. For massive tax issues I am sure they may have full services but as you can see from their new website they are looking for big fish.

UPDATE: TNUSA responded with my tax details which was removed by TRUSTPILOT as it did not hold with site policies. TNUSA did not address the complaint at all.

UPDATE 2: TNUSA seems to have a record of issues, see the BBB complaints page for Tax Network USA.

We would like to address your recent review and provide clarity regarding the services we have provided and the terms outlined in your signed service agreement with Tax Network USA.

As per the agreement, Tax Network USA was hired specifically for tax preparation services for certain tax years that you were missing.

Our scope of work did not include the resolution of any outstanding balances with the IRS or state authorities. Additionally, the current balance listed in your records is below our $10,000 threshold for resolution services. As such, pursuing resolution would not be financially viable, as the cost of services would likely exceed the balance owed to the state. Your case manager explained these details thoroughly to you at the time.

We want to stress that if you are going to leave a review, it is crucial that it accurately reflects the facts and includes all the relevant details. Your review does not fully represent the work we completed. We fulfilled the terms of the agreement, successfully secured refunds for you, and provided the services as agreed upon.

After all our efforts and securing refunds on your behalf, it is disheartening to see that you have posted a false and inaccurate review. We want the public to know the truth and stand by the work we’ve done. You even had our initial response to your concerns removed, which further proves the validity of our position and the work we completed.

Please note that Tax Network USA holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and maintains a 4.4 rating, which is better than most of the tax resolution firms in the industry. This is a testament to the quality of our services and our commitment to client satisfaction.

We always strive to deliver the best possible service to our clients, and we are disappointed that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we believe the review you left does not reflect the reality of the situation and does not honor the services that were delivered.

Wow!

By my math, my total taxes this year, state and federal, should have been somewhere between $15-$18k.

After working with Tax Network USA my final number was $9,000. Completely astounded by the result. Obviously this is case dependent, and they were fairly pricy, but if my results are anything to go by than they are WELL worth it.

Ditch H&R Block and work with them!
