Lovely place to stay, fantastic views and a nice 20 minute walk to all the beaches.

We have booked our holidays in South Devon, for the last six years with Toad Hall Cottages.
We mostly book online but, whenever we have called them if we have any problems with the property, they deal with it promptly.
Very friendly and knowledgeable folk. We can highly recommend them to book a property with.

Booking a holiday cottage through Toad Hall Cottages was simple and straightforward. The communication was excellent throughout, the cottage provided was wonderful and exactly as described. This is the second time we have booked a holiday cottage through Toad Hall, and we have found both cottages to be fantastic.

Lovely cottage, if a little dated in some ways. Clean and well equipped. Excellent location for visiting the South Hams. Very easy to book, and excellent information before our stay.

The booking process with Toadhall Cottages was very efficient. The filters helped me identify which cottages would suit our needs, in the area we wanted. Once booked we had regular updates from Toadhall Cottages, giving further information on the cottages and local information. We stayed at Avon Barn in Curtisknowle Devon. This was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean : well maintained and very well equipped. The cottage is in a very quiet and peaceful hamlet with very friendly neighbours who offered plenty of local tips. The cottage is not overlooked by any other property. You do have to drive down some lanes that are narrow in places. The trick is to drive slowly and remember everyone is in the same boat. We didn't meet a lot of traffic but when we did, right of way was sorted out very amicably, quickly and a "thank you" wave.

Toad Hall Cottages were very helpful and indeed went above and beyond when I questioned waterfront accessibility.

They provided me with the cleaners/maintenance contact details which was most helpful as they had forgotten to put out towels. But they did help enormously with what was left by way of consumables in the house. Loo cleaner, washing up liquid, salt, pepper etc. You don't want to buy it all and you don't want to cart it all along from home if it's already there.

It would have been helpful to know the downstairs loo was out of order and the steps to the garden were rather deep and quite hard.

First stayed here in 1972. It was lovely to be back. The downstairs extension is a great addition but someone should have thought of the dead flies that collected because of the inoperable roof lights. Paid £300 for the hot tub. It leaks badly. Due for a replacement but maybe in the meantime charge less. Kitchen brilliantly equipped but I think the fridge is missing some shelves so difficult to manage for 10 people.

Stayed hear for the last two years, great base for a family holiday. Everything in walking distance. Parked up and very rarely used the car again. Toad Hall Cottages have been great, let me change the week I had booked last year because of a illness in the family. I would recommend Toad Hall Cottages to anyone.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Lavender Cottage in Bigbury, Devon which is listed on the Toad Hall Cottages Website. From start to finish the transaction was very simple and the information provided on the cottage was very accurate. The cottage itself was amazing, great location, very clean, wonderful furnishings and well stocked with kitchen equipment if you wanted to self cater. We will be returning as and when we can. The weather while we were in the area was amazing and we spent most of our time on Bigbury Beach. Thank you

Whilst the location and property were lovely, 2 years in a row our welcome pack has had very out of date food in it. This year the fudge, biscuits and cheese nibbles were almost a year out of date. Please check before eating so you aren't unwell. Mediocre response when we made Toadhall aware and as its happened on 2 occasions, a year apart I doubt its being taken seriously.

We have used Toad Hall Cottages a handful of times and they have always been excellent. They are easy to get hold of and are professional and helpful. The properties so far have been very good and match the description on the website. I am happy to recommend this company.

Loved our three weeks here. Comfortable, quiet cottage, great situation for visiting family and friends and trips to Cornwall and the Moors. Friendly and helpful hosts. Hope to return in a couple of years. Good communication with both Toad Hall Cottages and hosts.

We love little Brook cottage in Inner Hope. Have stayed here a few times now and it never disappoints. Has everything in it you need for a relaxing stay. On arrival it was lovely and clean. The bed is so comfortable, we slept really well for the whole week we were there. It also has a great shower and plenty of hot water. A nice touch upon arrival to find fresh milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits!

This is the second time we've used Toad Hall Cottages and on both occasions we've been really pleased with the service provided. The website is particularly good and very easy to navigate, Each property is described in comprehensive detail including all facilities, information about the area and further afield and excellent photos. When we finally booked and arrived at our properties we found them exactly as described and, in fact they exceeded our expectations. They had so many really good properties in the most beautiful places and at a very wide range of prices that we were spoilt for choice. We kept going back to the property we originally chose and we loved it there.

I highly recommend Toad Hall Cottages - 100% happy with their service. They are the most welcoming, helpful Company covering South Hams, Devon. Adam was amazing in solving a problem - within hours too. I will most definitely use them again.
