Best trademark service in Canada — and honestly, probably the world! As someone new to Canada who'd had frustrating experiences with other firms, finding Witmart was a turning point. Witmart was amazing to work with. With their assistance, I was successfully able to obtain a trademark. Juan took a lot of time explaining the various categories and options based on my business. He spent time before filing to research and ensure there was a good chance of obtaining a trademark so that I was not wasting my time or money. Ben took over as Juan moved on and was also great. It took nearly two years to come through however am told this is standard. I would not hesitate to use Witmart again in the future.

We had an amazing experience and support throughout the lengthy process of registration for our brand! It took almost 4 years with an appeal and Witmart and Ben in particular were sharp and always responded promptly. I was even surprised to see that the same people stayed with the service all this time, as this tells a lot. The price we paid in the beginning (and not a penny more later) was quite reasonable considering how much effort it took. So anyone who posts negative reviews complaining about the misleading ads must be either a competitor and simply have not compared the alternatives yet. Thank you Witmart and all the best!

This is a bait switch website. I GOOGLED free trademark search, which brought me to this website. They have a search bar to enter the trademark name with a submit key.

It brings you to a series of web forms requesting information. It's a lead capture mechanism. You likely won't receive the information you want but you will open yourself up to “pipeline management”. That is, how quickly will you close. It’s deceptive marketing at its finest.

With respect to positive reviews, I’m suspicious of 5 star reviews where the person has 1 review. Trustpilot is now indicating if the review was an invitation.

Transparent disclosure would dictate that people know upfront that the free trade mark search is conditional upon sales rep qualification who then decides whether they receive the free offer. Present it as a discretionary offer but we both know that won’t solicit the same response!
