I joined a hiking trip with Trailmates Adventures for Sardinia trip and had a great experience. The trip was well-organized, and the guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the hike. The scenery was beautiful, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I’d definitely join another trip with them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures.

I had such an amazing experience on this Sardinia trip with Trailmates Adventures. Everything was so well organized, from the activities to the overall vibe of the group—it really made the whole holiday feel effortless and enjoyable.

Garry was a fantastic host throughout the trip. He created a really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy for everyone to connect and feel included. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience, and it shows in all the little details.

Sardinia itself was absolutely beautiful, and the mix of adventure, social time, and exploring made it the perfect balance. I came back not only with great memories but also having met some wonderful people.

I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun, well-organized group holiday—and I’d happily join another one in the future!

Our trip to Madeira was amazing. Trailmates Group organized a wonderful hike. This was our first group tour and our first hike ever, and now we'll definitely be going on more with this company. Firstly, the price was reasonable and the quality matched our expectations. Secondly, the tour was the perfect difficulty level and suitable for travelers of all fitness levels. The idea of ​​traveling just for the hike was the most important thing for us, as we wanted to fully enjoy the hiking and nature. I'd also like to point out that Harry was always available, which gave us a sense of security. A huge thank you to our guide, Paolo – he's very friendly, has a clear itinerary, and does his job 100%. The other members of our group are wonderful, engaging people. We're so glad we met them, and they'll remain etched in our memories. Thank you, Trailmates, for Madeira, and we'll see you soon!

I cannot recommend Trailmates Adventures enough! From my very first inquiry, Garry was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly quick to respond to all my questions. It was truly a trip of a lifetime, and will definitely be booking my next holiday with them

Things I loved:
- Amazing group.
- Super roommate.
- Nice, basic and clean apartment (with kitchen so you could prepare all meals if you want to).
- Madeira has some incredible food everywhere to try!
- Madeira also has so many shops and supermarkets if there’s anything you need or forgot to pack, you can get it!
- On some hikes with unique vegetation our guide would explain it.
- Some hikes included a stop by somewhere we could try something like local rum.
- Guide sometimes bought a local snack we could try.
- Well chosen hikes with amazing views and rearrangements are made if weather is too poor for some areas.
- Smooth airport transfers.
- Tips on things to do in Madeira during free time.
- Help with organising accommodation before or after your trip if needed.

Things to know / could be improved:
- Clearer information on how check-in works.
- Be cautious about booking if you’re not an experienced hiker. I exercise several times a week and have hiked before including challenging routes but not frequently. As a result, on the most challenging route for much of it I hiked alone at the back at a pace comfortable for me but didn’t always have sufficient time to pause and felt rushed to move on (contextually, I was trying to not trigger previous hiking injury but prior to this I had always been slow going uphill anyway).
- Know that most (not all) of the ‘alternative options’ are actually you just sitting on the bus (as there may not be anything nearby to do in rural places) waiting either at the start or end of the hike which could be hours. One time, I found understanding when was the point I would be able to get on the bus was not explained well when I specifically asked about it which caused stress for me.
- The above said, I did communicate to Gary how I felt after that specific day leading to some improvements including extra check-ins and info from local contact Niki.

Overall, I would recommend Trailmates and think this trip is great value but it’s best to know some things before you book.

Ive just had the most amazing week with Trail mates adventures.Its my first time doing a solo trip and it was so smooth from start to finish. Garry was just amazing and answered all my questions promptly and with care. The hikes were first class and our hike leader Paolo was a gem. I loved the group and my roommate was so lovely. What an amazing experience. I will definitely go again with this company.

Absolutely loved my first trip to Morocco through Trailmates Adventures. I’ve looked into other solo traveller group tours before but none ever ticked all the boxes until now. The entire trip felt like a hiking holiday with like minded friends - fun and interesting. Some friendships will last a long time, and some just shared moments. Great itinerary, well planned out, and adaptable depending on fitness levels. Communication was really good and straightforward, from both the organisers and the trustworthy local guides.
Overall it was an incredible experience that exceeded expectations, and I am looking forward to booking my next trip. If you feel hesitant of travelling/hiking solo then Trailmates is for you!

I went on the March 2026 trip to Madeira with Trailmates and loved every second of it, the organisation was amazing, and Paulo the guide and Miquel the driver were so friendly and great at what they do. Our group had an amazing bond with each other, it was my first ever solo trip and the whole experience made me learn so much about myself, I’d highly recommend Trailmates to anyone!

Hiking Madeira with trailmatesadventures was an unforgetable experience. The island is an outdoors heaven for nature enthusiasts and hiking lovers, having had the chance to enjoy Madeira with trailmatesadventures meant brain was switched off not having to do with any organising bits, everything was thoughtfully planned, from airport pickup with Niki welcoming us with a bright smile and ready to answer all our questions and help out. Also, they made sure we did have some comfort to ease into the hikes with the morning stop for great coffee and fuel for the day. Paulo was our guide and was leading the group with a lot of good energy and made sure everyone had their adventure wishes fullfilled at their own pace. Accomodation was in the heart of the old town, what else could one ask for?!
As a bonus, the fellow hikers I've met were such an amazing bunch of people, hiking alongside the group was awesome. 100% recommend trailmatesadventures!

I went to Madeira with Trailmateadventure. It was such a great experience. I did enjoyed the challenge of the hike rewarded by spectacular views. The guide was really expert and nice. The local representative Niky was awesome. Everything was very well organised. I do recommend this trip !

I went for a trip to Georgia in September 2025 and it was really nice experience. Our group of people was a nice match, we had a lot of fun also with local people we met! :) Georgia's mountains were very beautiful :) hikes were quite relaxed and chill

I enjoyed the hiking trip to Oman even more than I expected! Good planning, good accommodation, amazing landscapes, very cool hikes and canyoning!

My trip to Oman was a great mixture of challenging hiking and rewarding scenery. It was really awesome to experience a new country this way and with a lovely group of people. Big thanks to Trailmates Adventures and to Rawnaq Travel Oman for the organization and activities!

I’ve just come back from the most incredible hiking trip to Oman with Trailmates Adventures, and I can honestly say it was the trip of a lifetime. I feel so privileged to have spent time in this amazing country. Oman is beautiful, and the people are so kind and welcoming. It completely exceeded every expectation I had.

We stayed in Al Hamra, which felt like a little oasis set among the dry, rocky landscape. Surrounded by mountains and endless earthy tones, it was such a special place to be based. The guest house was lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was powerful and properly hot, which was perfect after long days out exploring.

The hiking was out of this world. Exploring the Al Hajar Mountains was unforgettable, but my favourite days were in Wadi Ghul and Snake Canyon. I genuinely do not have the words to describe how absolutely stunning the canyons, mountains and landscapes of Oman are. The scale of it all is hard to take in, and every time you turned a corner there was another view that just stopped you in your tracks.

Snake Canyon was especially memorable because of the canyoning. It was so much fun. Scrambling over rocks, squeezing through narrow sections and moving through the water made it feel like a proper adventure. It was challenging at times but in a way that made it even more rewarding.

There was quite a bit of off roading in jeeps to reach some of the more remote areas, which added to the sense of adventure. It was great fun and the guides were really safe drivers, so you could just enjoy the ride and the scenery without worrying.

The guides on the hikes were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, kind and friendly, and they clearly cared about keeping everyone safe. I always felt well looked after and supported, and they shared so much insight about the landscape and local culture along the way.

Oman is such a special country. The scenery is breathtaking, the people are warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt authentic and unspoilt. You will not regret going on this trip. It really is the trip of a lifetime, and I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced it.

I can not describe in words what a wonderful week I had in Montenegro! Thank you for the great organisation from the first moment till the last! The group has been so lovely, we had great fun every day. Vera, our guide was truly amazing! She is a gem with her experience and kind nature.

The trip to Madeira was well organized, and our guide Paulo knew all the ins and outs of the walking routes. The free day gives you the opportunity to choose something of your own liking, whether you go hiking again or have a more relaxed day. The communication prior to and during the trip was top notch as well. I always knew what to expect. I would definitely recommend!

I chose Trail mates adventures for Montenegro in May 2025. It was short period decision literally a week before the trip. Gary was available on Whatsapp and was quick to respond. Everything was arranged including the airport drops. It was relief to not think about where to meet your group especially when you don't have time to plan.

Montenegro is stunning and beautiful. Gary and his wife accompanied us throughout the trip. The local guide Mirko was a wonderful person too. The accommodation was in a quite village and well equipped.

I am looking forward to travel more with my them. I am in my late 30's and have good enough experience in trekking and this trip was an absolute delight for me.
