The gym is way overpriced and overrated, communication with the customer service is shitty, I cancelled my contract because I had to move out of the city and they claimed that I owe them more than 250 euros because my membership was discounted. they didn't send any details and they asked a debt collector to get the money.

Be careful !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful about their scams, Both on November and December 2 times, they did send subscription money request twice. If I wouldn't notice they could easily do it. Please Please Please be careful about their subscription payments, they are stealing money from customers accidentally multiple times. Terrible experience, I cancelled my subscription immediately.

This gym is a joke. Avoid like the plague.

This gym is a joke. Don’t bother signing up for Black Label because the service is inconsistent in different supposedly Black Label gyms — one has free protein shake, the other doesn’t, one has towel service, the others no. There’s also no guarantee that they will honor the price you signed up for if you are locked on contracts. Only the time you are signed up for is locked but not the price. They are so desperate to squeeze an extra 5€ out of monthly fees in 2025 that they are willing to not only lose customers for renewal but to lose referrals altogether. If you give advance notice of cancelling your subscription, instead of confirming that, they’ll email you about a price increase instead. They have the audacity to increase prices when they can barely keep the gyms and machines clean and the service consistent. I am never coming back to TrainMore and I will tell everyone who has ears to avoid this place like the plague. If you are on a budget, go to Basic Fit, if you have the money to burn go to Saints & Stars or SportCity. If you insist on going to TrainMore, be prepared to be pissed off and disappointed all the time. Waste of money.

Charged exorbitant cancellation fees

When I moved away from a Trainmore location, they charged exorbitant fees to cancel, recouping discount fees from earlier months. It felt exploitative and I would warn against joining Trainmore.

Contracts are a scam. 13months of payments!

Customer service is bad. "Monthly" fee is for 28 days, NOT a full month so you are essentially required to pay for a 13th month each year. Incredibly bad faith and scummy business practice. Gyms are also overcrowded. Would recommend to no one.

I have been cancelling my membership in…

I have been cancelling my membership in person and 4 times through their cancelation form. I wrote letter and never hear back but they keep charging me. Last December I told them I was leaving Holland and was cancelling my membership. They told me at the front desk that it was no problem. They have been charging my account and when I stopped the automatic payment I get notices that they will take it to collection agents. They are taking my money and there is no way to stop it. DO NOT sign up as you can never cancel !!! They gym itself is nice and the people are nice but they are not informed about the membership fraud.

Customer service non existent

For the price that one is paying this gym is not delivering the value a customer expects. All these free shakes and fancy recovery tools cannot beat a proper customer service, which doesn’t exist at TM. For a month I am waiting for my latest invoice from them, 3 tickets, 4 emails submitted with no response and surprise surprise there is no phone to call either. The staff at the gym are nice but they cannot help with it. There is no way I will renew my membership because this is just a joke. And guess what, I need invoices every single month, and whatever they offer in the gym doesn’t justify the struggle your customer needs to go through.

Work environment

I’ve been working as a host at Trainmore Amsterdam Plantage since it first opened, and it’s the perfect work environment! The team is incredibly welcoming, and the members are all really nice too.

Too crowded, mad expensive

Holy crap, asking almost 1.5X for less facilities than basic fit, and then the gym is ALWAYS so crowded you have to stand in a line for machines..., not to mention that almost always at least something is broken, from equipment to hydration, not to mention the leaks and power outages they always seem to have at Munnikeholm- DO NOT JOIN TRAINMORE IN GRONINGEN

Paid for 1 month, charged for 7 and I never came to the gym.

Joined once (free trial) and paid for 1 month to try out last April. Due to sickness and business travel did not go again. End of month I called support and asked to move the lost month to the next and if possible then I would upgrade to 3 months. Promised to call me back but they never did. Checked a couple of weeks ago and found out they are charging since then (that is for 7 months). Called the support, and did not claim money back, as I should, but proposed to make use of these months since I never actually joined the gym (I don't have even a tag). They said that I made a yearly subscription (while I did for 1 month and never received confirmation for) and they offered me a yearly subscription with 30% discount while is 25% for everybody. Trainmore you have taken 350 euros from my account and I never used your premises (except the free trial) while your client service team treated me poorly on several occassions. I asked to escalate the issue and was informed that there is no need as nothing will change. I hope someone who cares will reach out to me.

Inefficient costummer service

I asked staff on site over a membership for my daughter's 3 week stay in The Netherlands, I was twice told I didn't have to do anything to end her membership since it was already a one month contract. Apparently it was not so and now my underage daughter gets an email from a bailiff company on behalf of Train More.
On site my complain can not be handled and the online contact services are inefficient. Trying to communicate through endless FAQs led me nowhere. Overall, the experience was frustrating and overwhelmingly disappointing.
Left me wishing for better, more!

Terrible custommer service and overall…

Terrible custommer service and overall shady behaviors.
Train more has taken over my local gym together with all members. With little to no information they have then proceeded to cancel services that were included in the old membership and refused to change the price. It was Roeloef Hartplein location in Amsterdam where one personal training session per month, spa, locker and towel service as well as around 10 classes per day were available when it was Great gym still. When I tried to quit in May after they cancelled most classes and monthly PT I got an answer I can switch to a membership with Train more because I am not their client and offered an even bigger price! Not helpful at all. My question on termination procedure remained unanswered and I kept paying 85€ for basically no classes available. Then they closed the gym itself and said one can use other locations (which didn’t have spa area and one could not sign up for classes without extra paid points). After renovation which took almost two month ended - the gym has no spa and the lockers require bringing your own lock, commercial screens pop energy drink commercials in your eyes, staff is unhelpful and there are no classes. They are still charging the 85€ membership. All old employees were laid off effect immediate after years of good work and creating a community around the gym. From customer service of Train More side- No answer to more emails urging the contract termination for over a week now despite a five working day notice. The phone on the customer service line via app is answered by a person who hasn’t worked there in 2 months. Terrible experience.

borderline fraud

Whatever is said about this gym borderline fraudulent behaviour is true.

Their staff and their advertising will say something completely different from what the contract is. Moreover, you will never get the contract per-se, only the link to the online copy which get regularly updated (so it’s not possible to rewind back and understand what was your particular addition)

My situation is quite simple. Bought what I thought was flex membership (which you can cancel in 4 weeks). Decided to cancel it in 3 months due to relocation to another area. I as ready to pay for this 3 months (first 3 months was for free).

In reality you can cancel the membership, but you will have to pay for the whole year the full price (while 12 months).

I paid for 11 months at this point, I’m not sure if they will stop after the 12th…
