Disrespectful

Since I joined trainmore on a 2 years contract which both parts signed, I got my membership fee increased twice, with the excuse that the increase was something else than just an increase in price. I felt disrespected as a customer, and raised the issue with them, but nothing happened. During covid I kept paying the monthly fee and was loyal to the gym, but clearly this wasn’t mutual.
Along the past years the gym dynamics has also changed a lot. Each day it gets busier, music is awful and they cut on classes. The classes offer is very limited now.
I would not recommend it to any of my friends. You are better off somewhere else.

Misinformation and refusal to cancel contracts

It has the most inefficient, unhelpful, and predatory customer service. I have canceled the service a few times but they still collect money from my account. It takes them a few weeks to reply and yet they collect money again. I am sick of this unethical practice. It was promised to me in the beginning that I can cancel any time but they refuse to cancel it. This is corporate stealing money and there is no way to raise a complaint

Horrible administration and customer…

Horrible administration and customer service.

I signed up with a two months free gym membership plus no signing up fee. After one months, they deducted 60€ from my bank account which doesn’t even makes sense when I wouldn’t have have had the benefits that I mentioned above.

I emailed customer service twice + created a ticket with their lovely gym employees, but since 3 weeks I didn’t receive any response.

My advice

My advice, don’t start a membership here. The reviews are accurate. Horrible service. My experience:
Last year I applied for a student membership which I could unsubscribe for monthly. Now it’s changed and I need to keep my membership till a year has passed. I think they’re ripping people off. They don’t offer what they say they do and in The Hague they don’t offer any of the things you’re paying for, like the sauna, group classes or private coach.

I’VE BEEN SCAMMED

This company apparently is run by scammers which will call you when your membership is about to expire with very confusing information (which contradicts what you have by them in written) in order to trick you and lock you in for another year and get their sales quota. STAY AWAY, there are plenty of other gyms which treat their customers with the respect they deserve. I repeat, STAY AWAY and don’t be fooled.

Customer care team itself can not come up with a proper excuse to hide their scam. I have an email of one employee apologizing and recognizing their mistake and days after I receive another email from another employee saying that I’m the wrong one. It’s just unbelievable how unprofessional they are.

That’s, ladies and gentlemen, is how you lose a customer and build a bad reputation.

I’m still waiting for them to provide me with the recorded call of the scam so I can take the necessary actions.

STAY AWAY FROM TRAINMORE!!!

Horrendous SCAM

Horrendous SCAM. They only care about the money, the subscription they have is made on purpose so that you can't stop it before one year, and they charge extra months after the end of the contract. I had to pay 340 euro for a service that I never used because I had problems. Never ever went to the gym in 9 months, and still had to pay cause they don't care about your situation. They don't care, they are just too greedy and unprofessional. The customer service is a joke. Worst place ever, I wonder how it can still exists.
I hope Karma will work on them!

Predatory practices/Unresponsive customer support

I have never witnessed such unprofessional customer support or predatory subscription practices. I cancelled my subscription in March of last year and they continue to debit me after numerous calls emails etc.. 10 months after cancelling my subscription Trainmore last week debited by account 275eur. They are now unresponsive and unwilling to help. An absolute shambles of a business. I would advise people considering to join this gym to steer clear. A nightmare experience

Customer service doesn't exist at Trainmore

I had horrible experiences with Trainmore. Where do I even start? The problem is that each time I would like my issue to be solved, I cannot reach anyone. They don't have a phone number. They hardly ever reply on an e-mail and when they reply they give you the wrong answer and mislead you. You can reach then as well on Facebook but they are rude and are also hardly replying on questions. I never experienced such a horrible customer service in my life. I also don't understand why they are getting rid of the groupclases in almost all their gyms. The groupclasses were always full and overbooked so I guess they will lose more clients soon. What is a gym without groupclasses?!

DO NOT JOIN

DO NOT JOIN TRAINMORE. If you would like to be lied to by their customer service (if you can even call it that) again and again, sure. They overcharged me twice outside of my membership (when it has been confirmed to end), and when I processed a refund with my bank, they ACCUSED me of profiting off the refunds. I received NO MONEY FROM TRAINMORE BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. They will lie to your face again and again and somehow blame you for THEM stealing money from you.

I have had a membership for four…

I have had a membership for four months, and I like the gym in general with all the new equipment. My city (Utrecht, the Netherlands) has three TrainMore spots. One of them is the black label with a little sauna and more machines. Also, they have free coffee machines and fitness water. I am pretty happy with this gym.

Removes Facilities and Refuses to Cancel Contract

6 Months after signing a 16 month contract, they removed the yoga studio and the sauna.
The yoga studio was removed without any notice. The sauna was removed with a little note next to the sauna door 30 days before it was closed.
These facilities were the ones I used the most and the largest reasons for me signing with TrainMore. If TrainMore did not have these 2 facilities, I would have joined elsewhere.
After sending many emails to client services explaining that the main reason I signed up at TrainMore no longer exists, and asking them to cancel my membership, and explaining my disappointment, I have been told to read the FAQ page on their website and ignored further.
This is a 'premium' membership of 50+ euro per month with the service quality and hygiene worse than a student hostel.
TrainMore just changes services delivered without consideration, but expects clients to pay the full amount regardless of not being able to do the same activities in the gym.
A contract is an agreement of payment and services. If service changes, so should payment.
I cannot train how I used to at this gym since they changed so much. This is not fair.

Do not join!

Had a pretty awful experience. I already knew that the gym was not great as I had heard a bunch of bad recommendations but I decided to go through because it was literally one minute away from where I was temporarily staying. Hence I went to the gym and did the quarter subscription, which was just rolled out. I specified that I wanted to train only temporarily because I was going to leave and I also asked about cancellation (because after many years in the NL, I know gyms are sneaky about this), and I was told that I could cancel via the website before the end of the membership cycle, otherwise it would have continued as it was. Therefore, I cancelled before the end of my 12 weeks. However, I was still charged 60€ (the most expensive, and without any benefits). When I complained to customer service (also, there is no number to call, and you can't talk to the person at the gym desk), I was told that there was a one-month notice (for the first time). Something that, if you check their FAQ, does NOT say. When I challenged their deceptive practice, they mentioned that in the form, it says that for "Please note: after the end of your one- or two-year membership, a notice period of 1 calendar month applies". When I challenged this saying I did not have a one- or two-year membership, they said it was actually hidden in their terms and conditions. This is clearly not very lawful haha as, as a service provider, you are required to disclose all relevant information. This is relevant information, especially since I explicitly asked and explicitly searched on your website.

Anyway, all of this, to be part of a gym that:
- stinks super bad every time you step foot in it, has no air circulation
- has no classes
- is super small, very limited training equipment, and very often damaged
This is the gym in De Pijp.

All of this for a nonsense price.

Do NOT recommend.

Do not start a membership with this…

Do not start a membership with this gym. They use misleading campaigns and explanations on their website/ads.
They advertise with "more" classes (only some of their multiple gyms offer classes but you only find out which ones do when you already signed up for a membership and can see their schedules). I signed up for Trainmore in Utrecht only to find out the specific gym I signed up for does not offer classes and is very old looking. Then I decided to upgrade my member ship to be able to follow classes, and use better facilties, only to find out they closed the sauna at the TrainMore Utrecht Stationsplein. Also had multiple errors with the app, they unrigtfully charged my membership when I used the deal for working out for free the first few months and when I complained they asked me to send "proof of the campaign I signed up for". After weeks of reminders I finally received a nice answer, but the complete experience was awful.

Amazing trendy gym!

I loved it! There are many options to choose from, I went to west ladies, noord and van woustreet. The employees were very nice and the gym looks so cool and trendy, they had everything I needed. Definitely go back when I'm in town!
