TRANSAC is vastly used by scammers

On March 7, 2025, I reviewed Transak while desperately trying to understand what was happening to my finances. I was completely unprepared. I entered a platform I did not understand in a frantic attempt to trace my missing money. Sixteen months later, I have a very different perspective. I lost all my savings — €67,000 — to criminals who used Transak as part of their fraud operation. The €67,000 was not transferred in a single payment. The funds were sent in multiple transactions on different dates from March 6 to March 20,2025. The money was ultimately routed to an account at OpenPayd Financial Services in Malta that, as I later discovered, was being used by the perpetrators of the fraud. At no point was I aware that I was dealing with criminals. This only became clear after the loss had already occurred. The question is no longer whether my original review is "old news" or whether the platform is confusing for beginners. The question is why vulnerable people can be drawn into financial transactions they do not fully understand, while companies continue to place most of the responsibility on victims after the damage is done.It took me sixteen months to fully grasp what had happened. I learned that lesson at a devastating cost. Others should be warned before they do. Transak may claim it is merely a payment processor, but that argument offers little comfort to people whose lives have been devastated by fraud involving transactions processed through its services. While the company denies responsibility, I believe platforms that enable financial transactions have a duty to protect consumers from predictable and recurring scams. In my experience, that duty was not met. Stronger safeguards, clearer warnings, better fraud detection, and active cooperation with victims should not be optional. Responsibility does not end where profit begins. People deserve to know the risks before using this service. The scammers who targeted me knew exactly how to navigate and exploit the system. They appeared to understand the platform far better than the victims they were manipulating. That should concern everyone.

Was called fraud?

My bank instantly refunded the money and cancelled the transaction, which now it’s doing with most crypto platforms. The difference with transak is it said my account was disabled and to contact them @fraud… so I was able to find another service, but never has any purchases been fraud… transak was my go to, worked great every time until this “Order Complete, Order Cancelled” contact @fraud :(

If you’re seeing a charge in your bank account, it is likely a temporary authorization hold from your card provider. In cases of failed transactions, banks may place a temporary hold which is typically released automatically within 2–3 business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

We would also like to inform you that your Transak account has been disabled following the internal checks. Please note that this does not affect your personal crypto wallet in any way. You remain in full control of your wallet and may choose to top up using other service providers if needed.

If you continue to see the charge after a few days, we recommend contacting your bank directly for confirmation of the authorization reversal.

We hope this clarifies the situation and helps ease your concerns.
