The guy in the Rundle Mall store was great, however, you are not able to select your denominations when doing an online click and collect order. If you purchase in store, it was about $40 more for $700 USD, then they won't allow you to change the denomination in store.

EDIT Response to Travel Money Oz: Do not agree with your response as the order was for USD and I know for a fact that the availability of lower denominations was available. Saying that "supply lines are impacted by events in the world outside of our control" is just a cop out. Also, you did not respond to my issue of not being able to change to lower denominations in store as I know there was availability, however, your policy prevents customers from being able to do this. Just another way for you to direct customers into your store to then charge more.......

tried 4 different cards to pay online, these from large banks. none worked. now my card details stored in some flight center db. hope better developed than travelmoneyoz site.

After a few emails and attempts to fix with their online support. They were not able to resolve my issue, but they offered to have the shopfront match the online rate. Shopfront staff very good - Woden, Canberra.

Website had its difficulties but staff at rockingham kiosk helped out and were fantastic.

Offered exchange rate lower than advertised online $700 Australian cash bought $7,100,000 Indonesian - which is only worth $600 Australian
Online showed $7,600,000+ approximately, worse off by $55-60 Australian, won’t be using this company again..! 😡

Great rate - until you add the costs of being messed about when they randomly close the CBD branch for lunch for an hour, despite their website saying they are open 9 to 5. I had to make a second trip into the city the same day to pick up my cash. On giving this feedback, i received a smart-ass apology for "not knowing when I would be coming in that day". Yes, you'll pay more at a post office or bank ...but at least they are open when they say they are.

Easy process to order online until it comes to paying with a credit card. I was using an iPhone and it would not accept my card. When I looked on their website there was an FAQ relating to difficulties paying with a credit card so this is obviously an issue. They suggest using different browsers or a computer and not an iPad but if you just have an iPhone or iPad these suggestions don’t work. I ended up using a debit card which I didn’t want to do so unless I can easily pay with a credit card I won’t be using them again.

It was very busy at North Lakes but Bettina was efficient as she dealt with a queue. She was friendly and professional. We felt in safe hands

The gentleman from travel oz Shellharbour was so patient with me as I made an error on line in purchasing foreign cash as I clicked car and not cash due to my lack of Technology brain and helped me in providing information of how to return the funds.

Ridiculously low exchange rates on return to Australia. You expect a bit of a difference, but this was just a scam. We exchanged 399.72 AUD and a week later got back 165.15. We spent around 60 AUD worth, so approximately 225.15 AUD equivalent.

Edit: I just checked with Crown, and it turns out this is a wildly unfair currency exchange rate, and the attendant did not explain the exchange rate being offered to us, and we only realised the exchange rate post-transaction when we returned home and looked at the receipt. The business was in a Flight Centre, so we thought it would be reputable. I'll be contacting Flight Centre and the ACCC.

Travel Money in Parramatta were fast with my Click and Collect order for spending money heading to Vanuatu and New Caledonia for our cruise. The order was ready in under 1 hour. I found not all exchange places carried these currencies, but Travel Money were prepared and fast.
