Purchased a pair of tropicfeel trainers from John Lewis. After two weeks the lace stop fell off whist walking and lost.
I contacted John Lewis to get the stop replaced. After 10 phone calls from JL to Troocfeel they gave up.
I asked JL to stop selling this brand as their customer services is useless, unless you buy direct
Update
That reply to me was absolutely no use what so ever to me and shows how useless your customer service department is

A seam on my Hive backpack came undone. After I sent a complaint and a few photos to Tropicfeel, they refunded the full cost of the backpack in the form of a gift card. Excellent service—I’m very satisfied.
Kudos and thanks to the Tropicfeel team.

"I wish I had checked these Trustpilot reviews before ordering. Like many others here, I am now facing a nightmare with their returns process.
I returned a pair of travel shoes (ordered March 18, 2026) using the retailer's provided return service. After my refund was processed, the company contacted me claiming they received pieces of scrap clothing instead of the shoes, effectively accusing me of fraud.
The 'evidence' they sent actually proves my innocence:
1. The Tamper Proof: The photos they provided show the parcel sealed with clear packing tape. I did not use any tape, as I used the mailing bag's self-adhesive strip and black cling film.
2. Security Breach: Somewhere between the Post Office and the retailer, the parcel was opened, the shoes were stolen, and it was resealed with clear tape.
3. Investigation : I have pointed out that there was obvious physical tampering in their own photos, rather blaming me they should investigate their courier (Evri).
This company's low Trustpilot score is clearly earned. They seem to have a systemic issues ,they would rather gaslight their customers than take responsibility for their own supply chain security.
Case: I have reported this to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.
Think twice from ordering with this company." Let this be a red flag to others."
UPDATE 7th April :-
They are still insisting that i send the shoes back and not willing to accept that the issue is now “legally “ with them and EVRI.
Citizen’s advice have given me some good legal and consumer rights advice , i have also filed a police(Action Fraud) report.
This will be a continuation…..
UPDATE 23/04/2026: Despite Tropicfeel replying here to 'regret the frustration,' they have ignored my formal legal notice and police report for over two weeks. They have failed to provide any evidence to counter the fact that their own photos show the parcel was tampered with (clear tape added) in transit. Their 'sincere regret' on this platform is clearly just PR damage control, as they refuse to clear my name privately. Avoid this company if you value honest customer service."

I bought a pair of Tropicfeel All-Terrain HDry Waterproof Trainers through John Lewis but the order was fulfilled directly by Tropicfeel. About 5 weeks after wearing them for 2/3 days a week while at work one of the lace caps came off (it had already shown signs of movement early on so tried to keep an eye on them). When the lace cap comes off the lace starts to come out of the hoops and the elastic is too short to try and tie the laces old school style.
I contacted Tropicfeel for a replacement lace cap as it happed while I was out and about walking so couldn't find it to stick it back on. They said that they didn't stock replacement lace caps and the only option was to contact the vendor for a full replecement.
Unfortunately John Lewis no longer stock their trainers (maybe because of this issue?) so the only option I have is to exchange them for a different brand of shoe.
Shame that such a minor design flaw has undermined the experience of the show. It could be remedied by buying a no-tie lace product from a third party but for the money that shouldn't be necessary.

I like Tropicfeel’s innovative products. Especially the clothing and backpacks. Their customer support has always been able to help me quickly and competently whenever I’ve needed it.
The only thing I find a bit of a hassle is the return policy. Returns (not exchanges!) aren’t free (at least in Germany). If you’re unsure about the size, that’s not very customer-friendly—other stores handle this better.

Super easy to place returns. The staff communicate well and quickly. The products themselves are fabulous. I love all my gear.

Horrible service & bad product.
After 3 months, 10 mails, finally a reaction from a person, after 20 mails still no resolution for my problem. 3 year warranty, but with the product flaw they just say it is not covered because: wear and tear. I used the bag for two trips, total of 50 days, within those days most of the time it was in a room or hostel. They keep saying they understand, but then try to bandage the pain with a 20% discount code in their own shop..

Have been raving about Tropicfeel for a few years, very comfy shoes. Just want to add that the Customer Service is speedy and super helpful as well!

I really like the products from Tropicfeel. I have bought two pairs of shoes and they are great. However, my experience with their customer service has been terrible. I bought a pair of shoes on Thursday last week and as I had plans that needed these particular shoes on Sunday I paid extra for next day delivery. Needless to say they did not deliver on the next day nor the day after despite me waiting at home during the delivery window I was given. I asked that they refund me the cost of the next day delivery as they had failed to deliver on the next day and I therefore did not have my shoes in time for my event on Sunday. They have proceeded to blame me for changing the delivery method, but I only changed this after they failed the delivery on the Saturday and told me they would not arrive until Monday. They have been rude and unwilling to accept my reasonable request for a refund of the next day delivery cost.

Backpacks are really well-thought and convenient to use. Also customer support is very nice. I had issue with the backpack twice and they changed it no questions asked and the second time they gave me promocode for the full price and left me the backpack.

I am still going through an agonising process where I received a pair of shoes that leaked black ink on my foot and socks (clothing), the ink did not come off for 3 days
When requesting my money back I’m told that I can’t have a refund if the product is used. However, I have no faith in this brand and do not want their product.
I have a legal right for my money back. But I am told I am not allowed?
This is a serious concern and I am considering reporting you if you do not make adjustments.

I returned my full order to Tropicfeel (order 691021) in one package using their return process.
The parcel was successfully handed over to DHL and delivered to their warehouse (tracking available). Despite this, I only received a partial refund.
I provided everything they asked for:
DHL tracking and delivery confirmation
proof of shipment
written confirmation from DHL
even a photo of the package before sending
Still, Tropicfeel claims that only one item was inside the parcel.
What is especially concerning:
One additional item from the same return was actually refunded, which clearly shows that more than one item was in the package. Yet they refuse to refund the remaining items.
It seems that internal warehouse issues or missing scans are being passed on to the customer.
Support replies are polite, but ultimately unhelpful, as they simply repeat the same statements and refuse to take responsibility.
Very disappointing experience.

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Tropicfeel.
I purchased a backpack for over £200, which is marketed as a premium product and comes with a 3-year warranty. When it broke, I reached out to ask about repairs or even just recommendations on where I could get it fixed.
The response I received was extremely unhelpful, essentially just saying they don’t offer repairs and couldn’t suggest anywhere either. For a brand at this price point, I would expect far better after-sales support, whether that’s guidance, repair options, or some form of warranty assistance.
What made the experience worse was the quality of the communication. The replies felt very generic, almost like AI generated responses, and I was addressed by the wrong name multiple times, despite correction, which doesn’t inspire confidence or care.
Overall, this level of customer service is unacceptable for a premium brand. Charging high prices while offering little to no meaningful support when issues arise is not acceptable, and it has significantly impacted my view of the company.

I'll keep it simple: I own 4 Tropicfeel backpacks. That alone should tell you everything.
The oldest ones are over 4 years old and have survived 50+ trips — and I'm not talking about weekend city breaks. I mean rough, unforgiving adventures. Jungle humidity, mountain scrambles, overnight buses, airport chaos. These bags have been through it all and are still absolutely intact. Not a single seam giving up, not a single zipper sulking.
Airlines? Never an issue. They fit overhead bins perfectly, they compress when needed, and they've never been flagged, charged, or side-eyed by a single gate agent worldwide.
I'm deeply into sustainable and renewable brands — it matters to me that what I buy lasts and doesn't end up in landfill after two seasons. Tropicfeel walks that talk. Four bags, years of punishment, zero replacements needed. That is sustainability in practice.
The waterproof backpack specifically has become my prepper run-away kit — if I ever need to grab one bag and go, that's the one. It's that trustworthy.
At this point I'd say a Tropicfeel bag is almost essential backpacker gear, right up there with a good pair of boots and a headlamp. If you're building a survival or adventure kit and skipping on the bag, you're doing it wrong.
Buy one. It'll outlast your excuses not to.
— A very convinced 4-backpack convert

I absolutely love my bag I bought. Great size for trips on planes where you can get away with the bag on cabin only airline tickets as it can pack down or generally look quite slim.
It can also extend to be larger both from the top and bottom. I love the shoe holder at the bottom, great for smelly shoes or wet clothes/towels.
Nice materials used and really sturdy.
Laptop sleeve is great and the laptop feels well protected.
The toiletries bag is always quite fiddley to snap on to the magnets, that’s probably the only part of it that isn’t as well designed.

Buyer beware: my experience with Tropicfeel’s “3-year warranty” was disappointing.
My Tropicfeel shoes developed a fabric/seam failure at a structural stress point well within the warranty period. This wasn’t cosmetic wear, the stitching and material separated in a way that affects the integrity of the shoe.
I submitted a warranty claim with photos and proof of purchase. After review by their Quality Team, it was denied as “normal wear and tear.” The only resolution offered was a 20% discount code for another purchase.
Sharing so others understand how the warranty may be applied in practice. I’d still welcome Tropicfeel reconsidering the claim.

Hi, thanks for responding. I appreciate the reply, but I want to clarify that this wasn’t simply about expectations, the shoes experienced a structural seam/material failure while still within the advertised 3-year warranty period.
The claim was submitted with photos and reviewed by your Quality Team, but it was ultimately classified as “normal wear and tear.” Because the failure occurred at a stress point and affects the usability of the shoe, I had hoped the warranty would apply.
If someone from the Tropicfeel team would be willing to take another look or escalate the case for a second review, I would still welcome a fair resolution.

Loved th Brand but unfortunately the sole of the shoe was to stiff for me, wouldn’t adapt well to it.

Reply from Tropicfeel
The post-sale customer service is excellent. They handled the issues I encountered efficiently and provided effective solutions, which really improves the overall experience with the brand.
Product quality is also very good and meets expectations. However, sizing consistency across different models is something that could be improved. I own two pairs in the same size, yet one fits very tight while the other feels noticeably loose. This lack of uniformity can make choosing the right size more difficult than it should be.
