Lovely time at The Tulip Fields today. Sadly marred by racist comments made by a member of staff in one of the food outlets on site. Staff training obviously not a priority!

Don’t waste your money!

Tulley’s Christmas was hideous yesterday.
Never been before and will never go again.
My husband and I took our four year old and four month old to see Santa at a whopping entry price of £172 and it was an awful experience.

The ‘sleigh ride’ to the grotto is a tractor with faded vinyls hanging off it and they squashed so many people onto it that strangers were laughing about having to sit on each others laps!

We were herded into see Santa as a large group, he told a rubbish story for a couple of minutes and then everyone was herded out.

We weren’t allowed to take our own photo with Santa, Tulleys took a terrible photo instead and then wanted to charge £25 for a print of it!!

A toy is included in the price and needed to be collected from a stand that was being guarded by a really unfriendly security guard which is bizarre as they are all poor quality and I’m pretty sure they’re from a pound shop anyway!

The place was heaving with people everywhere, the staff weren’t engaged and the activities were a bit of a joke - the ‘Elves Magical Forest’ consisted of a tent stuffed with Christmas trees, a few stuffed animals and a lady dressed up as a reindeer or a fawn or something who was repeating over and over “Whisper a wish to me on your way past and I will shout it back at you down the path” or something like that. All very odd.

There was a long queue of families waiting to use one of the only two baby change tables that I could find on site, so we walked to the other one on the other side of the site only to find it covered in poo and in such an unsanitary state that I couldn’t change my baby.

It was at this point that we decided to cut our losses and head home but just before we left my son wanted to go on one of the only rides we saw at Tulleys which also turned out to not be included in the price either and was £6 a go!

The place is awful. I just hope my review reaches other families before they get ripped off too.

You don’t get time with Santa

We went to Tulleys Farm for the Santa Experience on Saturday and it was extremely disappointing. A family of 4, with ice skating and the photo print out of the kids with Santa, it cost £297.00 You don’t even get a one to one with Santa. Instead you pile into a cabin with around 10 other families and the kids get to have their photo taken with him. There is a sign in the cabin that states no photos. Then at the end they ask you to pay £15 for the one they take. It’s a rip off.. cant take your own picture and therefore you have to pay for theirs. Santa tells a storey about his reindeer that I didn’t even understand, let alone a 6 and 8 year old. My kids had been talking all week about what they were going to say to Santa when he asked if they had been good, or what they wanted for Christmas.., but they didn’t get the chance. It was a quick photo and out. The tractor was also not enjoyable. You are packed in like sardines and if you’re unfortunate enough to be sat at the back you can’t hear anything the elf says.

There are lots of activities, however they aren’t great. The 3D Cinema was basic. The gingerbread decorating was also set up to cater for about 100 kids at once, the room was packed, it felt as though they were just churning it all out making as much money as possible. The same with the reindeer food. I’ve been to similar activities before where they at least put a bit of glitter into it… this was just animal food pellets in a bag. There is a treasure hunt to find little elves around the farm and write their numbers down.. we found about 4 but you needed something like 12.. very difficult, we gave up.

The circus was okay and my kids liked the cuddly toy from Santa.

All in all it felt extremely over priced and did not meet our expectations for a visit to Santa.

The storm negatively impacted the event…

The storm negatively impacted the event and we were not able to enjoy the event as much. Some of the events on the day had to be closed due to the storm and when they reopened the que's were massive and we were turned away from the circus. Some events never happened e.g raindeer show due to storm. There wasn't enough dry sheltered seating areas to eat lunch so myself my husband and children had to stand up and eat. Compare to my previous experiences at tullys farm for Christmas this year didn't seem as magical. When at the post room my son posted his letter to santa but there were no elves standing at the post box like there always have done in the past. It just took the magic out of it completely. When we saw santa the Camrea wasn't working properly and we ended up with poor quality photograph. Also everyone got 2 photos but we only had 1 photo taken. They were rushing as Camrea was taking ages to work as it was broken. Santa didn't acknowledge my children at all he just posed for the photo. Never asked what they wanted for Christmas. My children were so looking forward to meeting and speaking to santa and it was literally just 1 quick snap of a picture and rushed out the door. Really disappointed as we have always had such a great time in the past which is why I booked the tickets. Most other Christmas events were closed due to storm but tullys chose to go ahead with there poor staff standing in the storm all day in elf costumes. We were freezing cold and I really feel that tullys should have rearranged the event for when the storm passed. We won't be coming back next year and I will be sure to pass on our experience to my friends and family who I recommend tullys to in the pass of our negative experience. I would not recommend this event

A must Christmas experience for SEN children.

I want to send a special thank you to the Tulleys farm family, the attention to detail where it comes to SEN children is second to none,
One of the only places I visit that I am completely comfortable knowing my children are catered for,
A big special thank you to 2 amazing Elf’s Gingey and Holly, they had me in tears with their kindness,
They was signing to my son, sang to him in sign language, nothing was too much, they came to find him paying special attention to him, making his day magical, I can not thank you enough, truly amazing people (I mean elf’s) x

Too much Q time

The sets and actors were amazing. Love how scary/funny it was. The huge downside is the massive Q times. Our whole group of 9 were so disappointed and it really spoilt our experience. The prices of food, drink and extra rides were also shocking. We only managed to do 5 experiences from 5.30-11. For this reason I wouldn't go again because although each experience was great the wait is too long.

Tulley farm's rip-off pumpkin festival

We went for the pumpkin festival, paid £10 per ticket in advance and travelled an hour to get there. When we arrived, we quickly realised that the only thing going on was the pumpkin picking which involved heading into a quagmire of mud in a field with a wheelbarrow and choosing pumpkins. Then we realised that you paid for the pumpkins you chose- none were in with the ticket and they were really expensive! So basically we paid £10 a ticket to slip around in mud -there was literally nothing else to do, except pay more money at the extortionate food stalls. Total rip-off and con - would have been quicker, cleaner and cheaper to go to Sainsbury's pumpkin section, as well as more enjoyable!

the pumpkin picking experience was very…

the pumpkin picking experience was very horrible for me at Tulleys farm

We drove an hour journey and pay £33 for an entry with my children aged 3 and 5. It was a very difficult and stressful experience as there was absolutely nothing to do for families there, not even a playground

All focus was given to create an atmosphere to take Instagram pictures only. After spending £33 I was very disappointed and shocked that tulleys farm did not even have a children’s playground.
I also thought grilling marshmallows was very dangerous for small children and there was no supervision from the staff near the bbq areas.

A very commercial and fake farm for families with young children

Beautiful Pumpkin Festival! Will return annually!

Our first visit to Tulleys Farm and the Pumpkin Festival. Amazing place! Wow! It felt like we were in America during Fall and Halloween. It was so beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. It was very busy but that was expected being a Saturday. There were many different sizes and varieties of pumpkins and squash and very reasonably priced compared to supermarkets. Lots of variety of food with American food stalls too. Not cheap but not too bad considering the size (£7 for a huge burger. Fries & drink sold separately). Fire pits to toast marshmallows. Plenty to do for the entire family, young and older kids alike. We loved it and will definitely be back. Looking forward to the Tulip season at the farm, next time!

Corporate Event Escape Room

I attended a corporate event in the escape rooms, it was brilliant. The facilities were excellent and the interaction from the staff superb. The food afterwards was great quality and they were amazing accommodating with some last minute dietary requirements. I would not hesitate to recommend Tully's and will certainly be going back.

Brilliant Mutiny Escape room experience

We are a team of 5 and had a Mutiny escape room experience at Tulley’s farm today.
We were greeted by Ellie who was very professional and helpful.
As all but one of us hadn’t tackled an escape room before we opted for Mutiny rather than one of the harder ones. It stretched us and made us work as a team ( there were due to be 6 of us but one was sick, we said later even numbers would probably work better as we could have split into pairs to tackle problems )
We needed the help of Polly the Parrot a few times to point us in the right direction. It was challenging but satisfying when we completed it ( just outside the hour allotted )
We all agreed that we would definitely recommend. In fact my colleague who had been to an escape room in London said that this one was much better.
