Typeform is good for response collection and has a nice design. But it's just a nightmare for analyzing survey data. They broke all the summaries and reports — different tabs show different number... See more

I feel really disappointed with my experience using Typeform. They advertise themselves as a free service, but what they don’t make clear is that the "free" plan only allows 10 responses a month. I found this out after I had already created and shared my survey, which made the whole effort pointless unless I paid.
To make matters worse, there’s no free trial of the paid plan. The only option was to immediately jump to a $30/month plan just to access the responses I needed. I reached out to support hoping they could offer a grace period or solution, and they were completely unwilling to help.
Yes, technically it’s in the fine print, but the way it’s presented feels deceptive. The pricing structure and limitations should be made much clearer upfront. I wouldn’t have used Typeform if I knew this going in, and now I just feel ripped off. There are better, more transparent options out there.
Rubbish. Refused to reimburse when our subscription failed to cancel after completing the exist survey.
Actual bad customer support. I reached out in regards to canceling a subscription and not one person was able to understand why I needed to cancel and wouldn’t cancel it. I had to cancel my debit card and get a whole new card just because they wouldn’t cancel my subscription!
Buggy awful product. I design software so I use a ton of software providers to do my job. For some reason Typeform is the only provider I have to get customer support help with on more than half the occasions I use it.
I have finite time to work on something. This morning no exception. I find that they've changed the name and the flow of something they used to call hidden fields to something now called URL Variables. That's fine, software changes, but the only issue is that my new variables won't save. Typeform has just wasted the hour I had allocated to my task. I really really hate this software. This is the definition of over promise and under deliver.
For the price charged I expect very good, not dire.
As soon as a viable alternative is available, I'll switch. I have such a negative experience of Typeform.
Please do your UX research better Typeform. You are terrible at user experience.
Overpriced and Misleading – Avoid Typeform!
I’m really disappointed with Typeform. When I signed up, there was no clear warning that the free plan only allows 4 responses per survey. I spent hours designing a survey, launched it, and only found out about the limit when responses started coming in. After hitting the limit, Typeform asked for an outrageous amount of money just to unlock more responses — at that point, it was too late to switch to another platform without losing the data and effort I had already put in.
This kind of bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable. If I had known about the restriction upfront, I would have never used Typeform. There are much better (and more transparent) alternatives out there. Definitely not worth the trouble or the price!
I needed to create a form for my class, and when I saw typeforms layout I thought it would be a good platform for easy creation of polls. While the design was great, if your on a free plan the max responses you can get is 10. CRAZY. And MINIMUM to get 100 per month is 35? CRAZY X2.
Typeform was a major letdown for me. While the design looks good, the pricing is just way too high for the value you actually get. Basic features are locked behind expensive plans, and it feels like you're constantly being upsold for things that should be standard.
I decided to move over to Formly.so, and it's been a game changer. It offers everything I need at a much more reasonable price without sacrificing quality or functionality.
Company does not seem to exist, at least not when it comes to termination or support. Not legal. No address, no imprint, no e-mail, the support e-mail addresses that are stored in the confirmation and with Paypal do not exist. No confirmation of the termination and payment requests continue to be sent. No invoice was issued for the payment, which was debited again via Paypal, although there is no longer an account due to termination. Website very opaque and no product and price descriptions.
I thought I had cancelled a month ago. But I guess it didn't "take". I see I'm not alone
There was no notification of renewal. I attempted to cancel within minutes of receiving email saying I'd been charged They do NOT give refunds.
Fraudsters. I now tried to cancel several months - but they keep talking my money!
Typeform is, without a doubt, one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. Their platform is clunky, overpriced, and offers nothing you can’t find better (and cheaper) elsewhere. What’s worse is their absolutely abysmal customer service. I’ve been going back and forth with them for weeks trying to get a refund for a plan I never agreed to renew, and they’ve done nothing but give me the runaround.
They refuse to take accountability, ignore simple requests, and make it as difficult as possible to resolve any issue. It’s like they’ve mastered the art of frustrating customers into giving up. A company this unprofessional doesn’t deserve your time, money, or patience.
Do yourself a favor—stay far away from Typeform. There are far better alternatives out there that won’t charge you unfairly and then treat you like garbage when you ask for help.
The tool is good but we'll see what kind of ROI we can prove.
100 responses for 30 euro, that's just ripping off. Was under impression that you pay for advanced features not basic ones. Do not use it.
The basic, price of entry, and functionality that this Typeform lacks is shocking.
Imagine you create one long Typeform and you want to copy a long part of that Typeform into another one...
You'd imagine it's a simple drag and drop of the pages you want to copy right?
No.
It just can't be done - but a support agent will tell you that they'll mention it to the product team...yeah.
For some reason they suggest duplicating the Typeforms but that doesn't resolve the problem...
The reasons to not renew just keep adding up.
I wanted to register with typeform. When I entered the data to create a free account, my registration was rejected. I read in the community that this is not an isolated case. What a pity.
We subscribed for a plan for $55 per month (!) to get 1,000 responses. The admin panel always showed that there are new responses, on other surveys it showed there were no new responses although there were.
The customer service knew about it and reported that it has been fixed, anyway it still wasn't fixed. Then it was claimed that it was due to the browser cache - but even though we cleared it and tried it with another browser, still the same problem. This way we were unable to check whether new responses have arrived or not. Useless service for a lot of money.
The craziest thing: When we wanted to cancel our subscription, we were forced to go through a cancellation survey first. Without this, a cancellation was not possible!
10 responses.
It only allows you to store 10 responses
This app is useless
I don’t even understand why this is a company in the first place
If you guys cannot store more than 10 records goddamn database.
close the shop
10 records?
10 goddamn records?
Why did you exist?
Do you even want Data?
Do you even want to solve a problem for people?
Do you even care about your customers?
This app is a piece of mierda
10 mierdosos records
f you type form
Vete a la merda typeform
Luck you and the horse you rode on in
We used to use online completable PDFs and then moved to TF thinking it was a slicker UX. But no, you're definitely taking a big risk with your client data by using them.
When we onboard a new client we create a bespoke questionnaire and ask them to answer some 200 questions.
Sometimes the PA answers some of them and sometimes, elsewhere on another computer perhaps in a different browser, their boss adds to those answers and answers other questions. It ends up being a collaborative effort.
You'd think that everytime they click RETURN or NEXT to move to a different page the data would be sent to the cloud...But no.
Unless the user makes it all the way to the end and clicks ACCEPT AND ALSO SUBMIT their input will never get to you. Days will pass and you'll think they're just taking their time to answer but no...
The outcome is angry clients who think they've just wasted a tonne of time inputting personal information that got lost somewhere.
Then you have to go back to them to tell them:
"Using the same link, if you can go back to the device you used, and use the browser you used you should see your input there (as it's stored on your browser and bizarrely not in the cloud).
Then just scroll through to the end, click ACCEPT and then SUBMIT and we'll receive your answers."
What a waste of time...
And of course the other big waste of time is that they don't have phone support so via chat with some awfully pleasant person you have to waste 30 precious minutes to struggle to get to an answer.
Based on their Trustpilot score and my experience I'd consider alternatives...
Customer "Service" is almost non-existing and you have to be very frank and persistens in order to speak to someone who are willing to help you.
When you get to that person, you are faced with same experience as before. Sweet but unable and not willing to help and even dening the experience you had.
