I'm loving Typing.com. It's a terrific and easy to use platform to learn how to do something I should have learned decades ago!

Horrible
Horrible website! I'm doing the "coding essentials" bit right now and it explains NOTHING, at least barely anything! My mother could explain it better, and she doesn't even work with code!

Terrible for its purpose
Pros:
- Visual aid when typing in case you forget finger positioning.
- Each level slowly adapts to your weaknesses and helps you train. Slightly.
Cons:
- No auto-log in feature, frustrating to have to log in every time (cookies are a thing).
- Poor UI control, once you begin a section you cannot choose to redo or go back to an exercise until you finish the one you have.
- Exercises tend to not really help to type faster, they're more of a repetitive nuisance than anything. WPM doesn't really get better. Other sites help me more, especially the ones with Monkeys.
- Making any typing mistakes is awful. Make one? The cursor will move to the next character. Get that one wrong too? It wont continue. This severely impacts your ability to actually increase speed and learn from your mistakes.

This is an absolutely fantastic free…
This is an absolutely fantastic free resource. Having done a lot of research into websites that teach touch typing, this is hands down the best one that I have come across. It is better than the websites/ courses that you have to pay for!!! It is suitable for all ages (you can select from Reception all the way through secondary school and to adult). I would thoroughly recommend this website for any child or adult wanting to learn how to touch type. It has been invaluable in helping my child learn how to touch type. Thank you typing.com !!

Wonderful Program!
I'm an experienced typist but need to build my speed. There are lessons that will teach each letter, number, and hand placement. I do the mid to advanced levels. They're smooth and really helpful. The system even tracks what letters you are hindering you. Your speed is always provided, so you can watch it get faster.

garbage
Absolute garbage. After the 5 minute typing test, it forces you to sign up in order to view the results. Cheap & immature.

dont waste your time
I was hopeful this would get me off of being a hunt and peck typist.Alas this is another site that uses so many ads that it slows the site down to unusable. I get you need to make your bottom line but the site doesn't even do as promised. I cant get through the first lesson because every time it freezes , then catches up and doesn't register what I typed. Couldn't even make it to a 15 minute goal.

Dislike the features when syncing with clever!
I have a huge list of classes that I sync through Clever. I would love to be able to add or delete kids and be able to change class names! I have a t least 4 classes that are all named the same thing so I have to look at the number of students and in a couple classes they also have the same number a nightmare to ensure opening of the correct class the first time!

So Helpful!
I recently had an issue with one of the lessons. My students were unable to get past a certain line because their keyboards wouldn't type the (') symbol. I contacted customer service and had a response very quickly. The information provided quickly fixed the problem. Very helpful!

It can be so annoying
It can be so annoying. When one types a wrong letter, the wrong letter you typed will get red and dangles down. And the same kind of activity can be redone so many times
