AVOID!!!!!

IF I COULD HAVE A ZERO STAR I WOULD. Ordered food… waiting a ok time for arrival to receive a text saying it had been delivered….. bear in mind my deliver instructions said RING ME WHEN OUTSIDE. The text I receive said ‘your food had been delivered’ so… let me put this into perspective it is torrential rain outside it’s a disastrous, and my food is apparently outside and had been delivered. Now… upon inspect there is NO food. What a joke. Don’t take my money if you’re not delivering. The Uber deliver driver called EUGEN FLORIN M. Clearly ate it!! Anyway I contacted Uber spoke to someone with zero help and any capability of understanding my frustration .. I then asked to speak to a a manager that was rude as hell and quite honest will never make me order from UBER again!!!!! His name was Izher from Sububer… do me a a favour and get a better system put in place for your poor ass delivery’s and delinquent manger that has zero clue about customer care or even giving a TOSS!! PS I am a NHS worker that has literally just finished a 14 hour shift and you have honestly made me day/night shift a hell lot worse…

An absolute pisstake first driver turned up on the wrong side of the river then 5 drivers cancelled one after the other. This is not acceptable at all. Left outside in the cold for an hour after initial booking. Unprofessional

SCAM COMPANY!

I booked a trip from the airport to my hotel. The price was 31 euros. When I looked a week later, Uber charged me 88 euros for the trip.
I wrote to Uber about this. And they replied back that they were sorry and they were gonna send me back the money they had stolen from me, so I would only have paid the 31 euros for the trip as it showed when I booked it!
I got refunded my money back, but sure thing as Uber is a scam company. Two weeks later, they charged me the money back they had just refunded me. SCAM COMPANY!

Words cannot express how frustratedI am with this company. I lost an item and it has been so filtrating to get it back. I have come 4 hours drive away to where the item has been left only to find out their hub is closed.
Costumer support do not have their facts straight, 2 people said the item could be posted, one person says it cannot be posted because it is a list item and also because I live in the same country so they cannot post the item (how stupid is that). Uber needs better costumer support, I have been using Uber for 5 years, no major problems until this happened to me. I am so frustrated that if some would ask me to rate this company it’s a 1 star, no more than that,0 if I could

Advice, don't buy an EV car from uber
Please take my advice and if you can afford such a car then find a way to buy for yourself
As we are trying to go Green , we are still too far away for this to make a difference in the taxi Game.

Had a bad experience with a driver who took me down a dead end to a car park I asked him what is he doing thinking he may have took a wrong turn he wouldn’t respond so I had to scream at him to let me out because he wouldn’t unlock the door bare in mind on the trip you can see where I got out at 3am by the way and had to walk 20mins home because I was too scared to call another Uber and I reported it to Uber all they said was we will make sure your not matched with him again and to make sure I don’t have that experience again. You have just shown me when men do this at Uber you allow them to still drive young girls home why would I ever use Uber again after this

false wait times

ordered an uber since it said it was 2 minutes away and i needed it to get to work, i order it and it changes to 8 minutes away?? never in my life have i seen an 8 minute wait time on an uber that was supposed to be 2 minutes away, ended up taking around 10 minutes to arrive since the driver didn’t even move for the first 2 minutes and i was late to work 👍

If there was a -0 this is what I would score Uber! My husband has been a driver on their platform for just under a year- yesterday he got assaulted while delivering for Uber- police contacted- yet NOTHING from Uber to check on his well-being.. today he gets an email to say he needs to email the details into them?!! Forcing him to rehash the experience! No phone call! Nothing off Uber!!
You are an absolute joke!! And do not care or value ANY of your drivers!! I
Am seriously sourcing further advise against Uber!

Uber no show!

Booked Uber 5 minutes away. Then received message "Chris will be with you in 7 minutes". No show! Rang support, who after a long time suggested rebooking!!!!! Couldn't take the risk as had to be somewhere for surprise birthday dinner. Really spoiled our evening. Would never use again!!!!!!!

Absolutely scandalous

Absolutely scandalous - took an UBER at 12.03am 4.75 miles 14 minutes. Price £36.93 or, £158/hour or £2.64/minute. I do not think I will be using them ever again in the UK. Same ride same time in Portugal circa. €12.

Waste of space

So uber are doing the woosh deliveries for tescos. Obviously tescos like to have there name battered by these fools. Placed an order today at 6:30. Turned up and half missing. Placed another order and that was cancelled by uber. So replaced the order again and 3 different uber drivers have changed there minds. What a joke.

am a disabled person
I am a disabled person. Due to my disability I take a cab to work. The Uber car started to smoke and it broke down. I had to walk the rest of my journey with my work bags and boxes. I asked Uber for a refund and they said they acknowledged that the car broke down but was not going to give me a refund or credit. I will not use Uber again. I’ll use a legit cab agency going forward

My partner ordered via the mcdonalds…

My partner ordered via the mcdonalds app 2 big mac meals last night and uber had delivered it. The meal was missing a quarter pounder plus the meal was stone cold. My partner phoned cardinal rd mcdonalds in Ipswich to be told she had to contact uber as they delivered it. She phoned uber customer service and they told her she would have to wait up to 15 days to get her money back. Only to be refunded a measly £2.50 when the meal cost £14.00. Customer service told her she had to contact the store as they put the meal together. Basically passing the buck on both parts. We are more annoyed with customer service on both sides as they gave the impression they didnt care. Not just because we were missing the quarter pounder but the fact the food was as cold as if it had just come out the fridge. Terrible customer service. Never use uber again nor shall we order at mcdonalds in Cardinal Park, Ipswich

Terrible company

In December 2023, I booked an Uber home and accidentally dropped my phone in the car. I tried to contact Uber to take action, but they simply tried to absolve themselves from responsibility and provided no assistance in returning my mobile, nor did the driver. The driver alleged that no phone was found in the car and become unresponsive. A week later, the phone had still not been returned and I was forced to contact the police. I advised Uber and the driver that I contact the police to investigate the matter further, then suddenly the driver contacted me to confirm he found TWO phones AND a laptop. It is evident that had I not reported it to the police, the Uber driver would have tried to steal my phone.

In any event, I gave Uber the benefit of doubt and kept the app. I used Uber recently for a 4 minute car ride costing £7. The next day, Uber took an additional £110 from my bank account for an alleged ‘cleaning fee’. To say the least, I was livid and called Uber support immediately - unfortunately the customer support worker did nothing proactive in resolving this, other than tell me she understands I was frustrated. I wrote to Uber disputing the cleaning fee and requested a full refund, but Uber replied stating that ‘the driver has a right to charge a cleaning fee’. This response was unacceptable and I requested that Uber provides me documentary evidence of the alleged mess, time and date stamp of any imagines and copy of the receipt/invoice the driver paid to clean the alleged mess, failing which I threatened to take legal action. A few days later, uber refunded the £110 cleaning fee.

The conduct of uber and the drivers are shocking and absolutely horrible. I deleted the app immediately following this incident and will not be reinstalling. Stay away at all costs!
