Ordered a crossbow and some accessories on Mon 5th May for a trip at the weekend. Noted the clear 'Orders Processed Within 24h' on the website after scrolling down on the homepage and ordered Next Day delivery. Attached ID in an email to the correct address moments after ordering. Justin was initially highly responsive, even acknowledging my ID at 23:36 on the night of the order.

Noticed 2 days later on the Wednesday that the order status was still 'processing'. Thought something might be wrong and so contacted Justin again. He asked about my ID (which I had already sent 2 days before) - I just attached the ID again. Regarding the order, Justin said 'It can go today.' The following morning, the order status was still the same and with no further contact from the company.

I cancelled the order and ordered the exact same items for next day delivery on another website (Tactical Archery). The order came 1 day before my trip - good stuff. So, in the time of radio silence from Justin, another company accepted, processed and delivered my order. That should be enough of an argument to not use this store, ever. Try Springfields or Tactical Archery - both excellent companies who will be receiving 5-star reviews.

UK Prepping Shop is just one person's hobby for a person setting up for retirement; it isn't a business. It means the company can't deliver to the customer like others mentioned above. Most items are ordered in even though the website says they are in stock.

Justin himself is a deranged character - a persistent liar and a fantasist. Instead of providing actual customer service, he is more interested in getting in Twitter style arguments with customers when a promised service isn't delivered.

It goes without saying but don't trust accounts that have a single 5 star review. These reviews are mostly fake, not just for this company but across the website. If the fake accounts are used even to review multiple companies, they can easily be linked, accessed as fake and both (or more) reviews removed by Trustpilot.

EDIT: I was expecting to have to get my money back through the bank and was pleasantly surprised when Justin did actually refund me. As odd a character as he is, he isn't a thief. To any potential customers that do order, do have the reassurance that he will refund you if things don't work out, though do be prepared for some weird messages.

Requested a refund prior to being shipped out.
It has now been 19 days and refund has still not been processed.

Edit - There was miscommunication and has been resolved immediately.

Trustworthy and reliable! I’ve placed a few orders now, and every time the items have been top quality and delivered without delay. Definitely one of my go-to prepping supply stores.

I paid for crossbow, then they told me that I have to submit my photo ID via PLAIN email.
No information in the privacy policy about how these documents are handled.
I asked to cancel the order and to issue a refund, they just said they "will do" and nothing happened.
Reminded them few times, most of the time no response. Phoned them few times, only once picked the phone up and said "will do".
After some time they sent an email saying the refund has been made, but no refund was issued in PayPal. More than a week later I opened a dispute, because all they say is "will do".

Edit: He contacted me to remove this review. When I refused, he dragged the PayPal case to the maximum, not willing to simply press the refund button. PayPal refunded me today because there was no response from the seller.

Justin gave my missing parcel his immediate attention and tracked it down. Parcel arrived one week after my enquiry. I feel Justin is trustworthy and will do business with him again.

Seems like any reviews that he doesn't like, he replies with "fake review". I think the owner likes to argue with people on these reviews. He has changed his reply twice now on this review by me. Never got to the stage of him asking for ID, as there was no communication after purchasing the item. But it doesn't look the safest was to provide your personal details according to others on here. Asked for a refund and was told I would get one. Days went by and no refund was issued. Emailed again and no response. Had to make a claim with paypal. Avoid this place like the plague. Every issue is the same with everyone. I am not sure who actually has any good experiences with this company.

UPDATE: The company flagged my review as "Defamatory" but Trust pilot found no issues with it so its still up. I guess these guys really don't want honest opinions from people using there services

I continue to use UK Prepping Shop. It's really easy, and the team keep me updated on my order progress. Communication is quick, and any issues sorted without fuss. No need to go elsewhere. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Avoid at all costs. Absolutely shocking company to deal with. Communication is dire and trying to sort anything is impossible. Still waiting on a refund now.

I placed an order with them 7th Feb, then realised it was on back order and I needed it soon! I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. They said yes, iv now been chasing them for a week and it's still not arrived! All iv got is a receipt for a partial refund!
