Terrible Customer Service! Ordered a lightweight Autumn/Spring puffer jacket last October. I was initially pleased with it though I did note the rather flimsy zip at the time. I wore it intermittently... See more

Terrible quality product, hostile staff, they break the law
I ordered some t-shirts and - because I was going to be physically near one of their stores - did it as a click-and-collect order.
This was a catastrophic error. Some of the items didn't fit. But to return them I would have to take them home with me and then mail them back. Whereupon they wouldn't refund the price I paid if the items had subsequently gone down in price. None of this is legal under consumer law. And what a faff!
Oh, but I could exchange them. So long as I was willing to accept that this meant I couldn't return any of the items I subsequently got, even for defects in workmanship. More on that shortly...
But life is busy and I had the opportunity to exchange then and there whereas returning them sounded like a very chancey business.
So I took the items I wanted to return up to the exchange desk. Only to be told that I could return 3 of them but not the 4th. Why? All of the items had an RFID tag. Tiny. Microscopic. Never mentioned until now. Oh, and that 4th item? The tag wasn't attached to the clothing. It was taped to the packaging that I'd given to the staff member in the changing room to put in her bin. Fortunately they were able to find it, but only after I insisted that in no situation would I tolerate them now not even being will to exchange the item. "Oh but that t-shirt could have come from anywhere". Yes of course. I got a t-shirt from somewhere else. Carefully stitched a uniqlo logo on it. Put it in a plastic bag that is the exact same size as all the others at uniqlo...
Oh and that workmanship error I mentioned? I got a pair of shorts. Which are already coming apart at the seams. Buying at uniqlo on a click-and-collect order is a catastrophic mistake. But bluntly, so is buying uniqlo clothing.
PS: They're averaging 1.6 stars and the consensus review largely mirrors mine. I've learnt a lesson and will certainly make sure anyone else I buy from in the future passes a threshold of at least 2 out of 5 stars ...
Don’t order online
I ordered online and tried to return in store. I was stood in front of the item in the shop but was told I had to return it online at a cost of £2.99. This is not good customer service. I had to go home and post the items which seems utterly ridiculous. I had no issues with returning the items and have been refunded but I am only giving two stars for not being able to return for free in store. Why would you have this policy? It makes no sense and will continue to annoy people. I will not order online again.
Great simple classic designs
I bought 2 women's rain jackets , to see which one I liked. I kept one and returned the other. And also bought a pair of linen trousers, but returned as the shaping was too baggy. They take a very long time to give your refunds.
The company is ethical and I like the simple designs of some of their clothes (many of which are sold out!).
I'd like them to do more Petite sizes in their garments.
Dear Uniqlo Support,
Dear Uniqlo Support,
I am writing to formally request a review of my refund issue. I placed an order for 5 shirts, out of which 3 were incorrect and damaged. I reported the issue immediately, and all 5 items were picked up by your delivery partner for return.
After your investigation, I was only refunded for 2 shirts, which I understand were lost in transit. However, the remaining 3 damaged shirts were returned to me without explanation.
A Uniqlo representative has now stated that one of the shirts was allegedly purchased in 2022 and accused me of switching items. This is absolutely incorrect. I want to confirm that:
This was my first purchase using the Uniqlo online app.
All 5 shirts returned were from this same order only.
I have no older Uniqlo items to "switch" and feel this accusation is unjust.
I respectfully request:
A thorough review of this case.
A refund for the 3 damaged shirts as initially reported.
Please escalate this to a supervisor or higher management. I am happy to provide any documentation or proof required to resolve this fairly.
Sincerely,
EKTA KUMARI

Refused to accept online return in physical store – unacceptable for EU standards
I ordered a few items from Uniqlo online to test sizing, and wanted to return them by visiting the physical store in Warsaw, Poland. To my surprise, the staff informed me that returns of online purchases are not accepted in-store, and I was expected to pay for return shipping myself.
This is completely unacceptable by European consumer standards.
Not only is Uniqlo operating physical stores in Poland, but they are also officially registered with a Polish branch (Uniqlo Europe Ltd Sp. z o.o. Oddział w Polsce). According to EU law, customers are entitled to return online purchases without bearing unnecessary costs, especially when the brand has a local presence.
Additionally, customer service is offered only in English, despite the company conducting business in a non-English-speaking country — another major inconvenience.
I’ve submitted a formal complaint and encourage others in similar situations to report these practices to their local consumer protection authorities.
Uniqlo needs to start respecting local laws and customer rights instead of hiding behind pan-European logistics excuses.
Very poor customer service
I like the clothes and they are well made however the sizing is inconsistent . I bought a pr of cotton trousers , perfect fit , very happy . I ordered on line exactly the same size in another color . They are a whole size bigger and fall off me . I didn’t try them for over a month as I assumed they would be the same . It’s impossible to speak to a human to resolve this . There is no number no e mail . Just a very stupid bot ! So customer service is very very poor . I guess no representative will read this either .
Terrible customer support
Yodel did not deliver my order for some reason. Unfortunately, Uniqlo did not believe what was happening, and refused to refund or listen to my experience.
If I could give this company zero stars…
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I was delivered coats in two mailbags, which I returned in the same two mailbags using Royal Mail's fully tracked service. Both bags have been received by their warehouse, yet only one refunded. They are stating the warehouse says they've only received one, despite the evidence from Royal Mail that both were accepted, and are withholding a refund of over £110. Absolute charlatans. I was a regular customer and will never purchase from them again.
Expensive Charity shop
Cheap tat. Thin jumpers you will need to purchase 5 and wear all 5 to keep you warm. Reviews are terrible l. Glad people are walking up to this expensive charity shop
Poor quality and no customer service …
Bought a cashmere jumper hand washed once and can’t wear and can’t contact customer service as they are non existent- can’t return to store as miles away- purchased on holiday
Horrible experience with the customer…
Horrible experience with the customer service. I’ve returned my partial and have yet to receive my refund.my jeans had weird discolored stripes in them and is a faulty item so I saw to return it. However, the customer service has been nothing but horrible to me misunderstanding every single thing I have contacted them five times by now and I have still not received anything that they keep emailing me that they haven’t heard from me and if I don’t reply within 48 hours, the case will be closed whilst I’ve been sending emails with receipts of my delivery and other things to show that I have posted my package. Furthermore, they promised stuff that I simply don’t do false promises all the way and I have yet to receive a refund. I will never ever shop here again.
Avoid at all cost
I've ordered some stuff more than 1 month ago and I 've still not recieved my order. They've sent me an email in which was written that my order was delivered, which was a lie. Then I contacted Uniqlo and I've got an answer that my order is still out for delivery( this was maybe 2 and a half weeks ago). Since then I wrote to them around 10 emails and they're not responding at all. I would totally not recommend buying from this website, they're scammers.
Absolutely dreadful
First off, the new Dutch website launched around Dec or so just sucks, it's all one big mess.
Second, the return policy got even worse than it already was. For multiple items returns by post you have to print separate return labels and PAY for each returned item! you cannot ship all in one return parcel with one return label. That's insane and much as I was a fan of Uniqlo, I now despise it and avoid as much as I can. What a shameful and disgusting approach
Terrible customer service and returns
Item didn’t fit. Tried to return but need a Guest ID because I checked out as a Guest without an account. Uniqlo FAQs say you can find your Guest ID on the order email. It literally isn’t there, and now I am stuck in a loop with their AI chatbot. I am unable to return my order for a refund. Insane.
Received a jumper for Christmas
Received a jumper for Christmas. Wore it once and found that it has bobbled.
Returned the jumper to the store with lables and receipts. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the jumper. Another member of staff joined the discussion and confirmed that there was nothing wrong. I pointed out the bobbling and was told that that was normal with wear. Again I reiterated that I had worn it once. Another 2 members of staff were called over. I felt ganged up on and humiliated. I was loyal shopper of Uniglo and never had to return an item of clothing. Lesson learnt. They have post me as a customer.
Disgraceful company I would avoid at…
Disgraceful company I would avoid at all cost. My order apparently got lost (I don’t know whose fault it is), I waited about a month for the order didn’t hear anything, sent an email, took them 3 days to answer, told them my order was lost, took them another 3 days to answer. Now they said I will get my money back in 5-7 days and I didn’t get any compensation. If you buy from them, be prepared to not receive anything.
I can’t return an article I bought on…
I can’t return an article I bought on line without a guest ID. Despite going round in circles I cannot find it. I do not have it! There is no alternative. The help chat just leads back in a circle. I’ve wasted valuable time and am frustrated. Last time I buy on line from until.
I’m shocked to see bad reviews here
I’m shocked to see bad reviews here! It’s literally the best brand, the quality is always perfect, the style is amazing, and what I love most is that there are no logos. Please open a physical shop in Athens!
No refund for returned items
I made an online purchase from Uniqlo and returned several items. Despite providing proof of return, I have not received a refund. I have repeatedly contacted Uniqlo about this issue, but they insist they have refunded me. This is categorically untrue. I also contacted my bank, which thoroughly investigated the matter and confirmed that no such refund was received or even attempted. My bank advised that Uniqlo should investigate with their own bank. However, Uniqlo has failed to take this basic step. Instead, they simply sent a dismissive email claiming they "cannot do anything about it."
This response is unacceptable and highlights a complete lack of accountability. Essentially, I paid Uniqlo for nothing, and they have demonstrated either an inability or unwillingness to trace the money they claim to have sent but which I never received.
This experience underscores their incompetence in handling customer issues and their appalling customer service. Be extremely cautious when buying from Uniqlo online—they clearly do not prioritize resolving customer concerns or ensuring refunds are processed correctly.
The customer suffers from Uniqlo’s mistake
Worst Uniqlo experience! Service should be widely known as exceptional in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. However, service in UK is below average. There was one missing item in my online order and filled their online form in their site with the missing product ID and I was contacted by a customer service staff saying the order was delivered. Obviously they didn’t read my form. After saying once again by email, they sent me a form again to be filled in but this time the form is just like any amateur word document and the alignment is a mess when filling in especially when you copy and paste the long order number unless you input manually. It’s 2024 turning 2025! It seems I was filling a job application form. Plus I need to take pictures of my order and the parcel and I’m sure that was not couriers’ fault. But the fact was their staff missed an item in my order and i had to do so much things for such request! So back and forth for several meticulous emails, I’m not sure if the missing item is out of stock as I would prefer a replacement.
It’s a shame for a company which has a good reputation of excellent service turned out to have such a low quality of service.
